She also didn't help order online when they didn't have an item. Just said "you can do it on your phone ". When I asked if I had done something to offend her, she said, "No, you're fine," but failed to recognize the clear discomfort in the interaction. No customer service at all. I mean, it's a pretty nice job - why the nasty attitude towards customers? I'm kicking myself for not asking to work with someone else--why put myself through that when I'm a loyal customer? I still ended up purchasing six items, and the rudeness continued through checkout. The attitude came across as entitled and was completely out of place in an otherwise positive store. Plus she was really no help at all.

Followed all…read morerules given by Nike security, but SF Nike store manager Raquel Collazo was on a power trip & removed us from front of line & refused to give us wristbands. Raquel Collazo & her team were giving ppl conflicting info for the Nike x BTS collab event. We were the first ones to arrive on 7/4 & waited for over 16 hrs. Security told us to wait in our car & line up at the entrance when they set up stanchions on 7/5 11am. They confirmed multiple times on 7/4 & 7/5 not to line up in the unofficial line across the street bc it would not be honored. 7/5 approximately 10am: Raquel, Mel & security guard exited the store & walked across the street to the unofficial line at "the Square." Other employees brought out the stanchions, so we went to line up at the entrance. However, the employee had no clue what to do & had us wait there so he can radio his manager. We waited for a while, & were passed to another employee named Mel, who also didn't know what to do. Then, Mel passed us to Raquel. We told her we needed wristbands bc we were the first to arrive on 7/4 & have been waiting for 16 hrs. However, she was rude, dismissive & refused to give us wristbands. Raquel was on a power trip & kept repeating, "THEY REPORT TO ME" when asking ARMY's who advised us to line up at the Nike entrance. We even offered to show pictures that we took when we arrived, but she said no and ignored us. So, ARMY's who followed the rules were punished & removed from the line for no reason. Nike, please retrain your employees! Raquel Collazo lacks empathy & accountability & did not apologize for their misinformation. This goes against Nike's core expectations for Nike's Code of Conduct. Also, Raquel Collazo claimed she spent 30 days training her team for the BTS x Nike event, but it was poorly managed & executed. Many of us ARMY's spent our days, money, time, energy, & gas traveling to SF for nothing. Unfortunately, a highly anticipated event that was meant to be sweet, fun & memorable turned sour. NIKE at SF, do better. It's embarrassing. We're longtime Nike customers & spent lots of money on Nike products, but we are never returning to this location. This negative experience has tainted the Nike brand's reputation. We will be taking our business to competitor brands that have high customer satisfaction. In addition, there are many negative reviews that consistently point to a similar issue: terrible customer service, or lack thereof!

Cali Kites treated me with utmost respect and care. I recently came to the store to look at the Evolve Carbon Gt electric skateboard. I had many questions, I had never owned a skateboard period. Brian was very helpful and shot me answers straight. Anything he didn't know he was quick to email the company and get back to me as soon as he could. You can tell that he didn't care what I bought, as long as it was best suitable for me. I didn't have all the money that day, I wanted to put a deposit down. Brian made sure to let me know that if i changed my mind that he would give my money back period. When it was time to buy the board he went out of his way to make it convenient for me to pick up the board. I am extremely satisfied with the honestly and level of service I received. I came to SF from Thailand on a short trip and hoped to get a new Ion Radar harness while was here. Brian at Calikites couldn't have been more helpful, friendly or professional. As soon as I called he checked the stock, called the warehouse, and put a hold on both a medium and a small just to make sure they'd have the size I needed when I came in. He was very knowledgeable and even though a large group of customers walked in the store right behind me, he never hurried me and was very patient in discussing the harness sizes with me. The store itself is choked full of great gear from the usual, kites and boards, to land boards and all kinds of accessories. It was a great experience and a true blessing to have such passionate, knowledgeable people locally available when you need gear. The best shops for surfing have always been the core surf shops; owned and operated by surfers. The same holds true for Kite shops. CaliKites is a core kitesurf shop. The owner's been on the scene from the early days, his brother is a kite rep. Its in their family blood and this shop just gets it! No BS or fluff here! This is the shop to deal with guys! They are interested in you getting what works best for you and will pass on the sale if its not right. Ive been going to these guys for years and now that they have moved their main shop to SF area, I will still purchase from them, despite the distance. Its a no brainer. I got so tired of the typical Kite shop BS that I got from the other shops. The rest of the kite shop yodelers out there really need to emulate CaliKites. Keep up the good work Brian! Cali Kites is the best kite shop I have been to hands down, and after searching online, their prices are often the best also. Brian who owns and often fronts the shop is a seasoned kiter that knows his stuff. He will sort through the best options for you and wont try up sell you just to make some extra for himself. He really cares about the customer (other kite shops I have been to I end up leaving with much more than I want to buy) The location is awesome (right in the middle of the city) and that shop is stoked!! Even if they don't have what you want, they can order it for you. Loved this place, and am definitely going to continue using it. read more

Calikites is maybe the best kitestore I've ever been to. Great selection, very good deals and super friendly and helpful staff. The owner really lives kitesurfing and has almost been to all kitespots all over the world. He's not only giving you excellent tips about equipment but also on kite spots and places nearby. Their slogan couldn't be any better or more true: "selling the gear that we ride & riding the gear that we sell". Calikites is awesome! They have been in the business forever and are incredibly knowledgeable about all the gear - past and present. I always call them before I make any kite related purchase; and because they are so helpful I end up buying through them each time! Lastly, this new shop in SF is really cool. They have a huge selection of boards, harnesses, kites, wetsuits, random gear and even super warm fireman jackets after those crazy cold sessions in the bay. If you are taking the time to read this review, you have already wasted too much time on your computer. You should be in your car, riding your bike or catching the bus to get to CALIkites NOW! This is one of the best in field shops on the west coast. Staff is very knowledgeable, and courteous. If you need it chances are they have it. I just picked up a new rig a few months ago. This post is long overdue. I was very new to the sport and did a ton of research before going to the store. I met Brian there who owned the store and he spent literally hours with me, figuring out exactly what I would like. This is about the new business, not when it was owned by George…read more I've been dealing with SP-Teri for the good part of a year. You can see the photos for the "custom skates" they sent me. If you can even call it that. I have returned the product and have not gotten my money back. I do not want them to try to fix anything as I do not trust their cobbler knows what they're doing. Unless I'm interested in ending my career. I'm not one to usually do any of this but I want to warn people to NOT BUY from SP-Teri EVER. As I know others have been having issues with their workmanship.

I will tell you why he's the best guy in town. George is a 2nd generation skate boot-maker. George designs the boot to fit the skaters foot. Not only that, but the materials he uses makes sure the boots are of the best quality and they are built to last. My skater went through 4 - 5 boots not because they fell apart, but because they advanced as a skater or her feet grew. George and his crew did a great job, from beginning to end, recommending blades as they grew and advanced in their sport, tweaking the fit just so, so that blisters and callouses did not set in and occasionally providing a sharpening when we were in a pinch! So here's the thing about SP-Teri - they are simply the best. Four pairs of skating boots in 20 some-odd years and I'm here to tell you if it is quality skates we're looking for, look no further than SP-Teri. George and his crew have seen so many skater's feet that they can diagnose and fix anything that goes on with their skates. They stand behind their product 100%. A trip to SP-Teri usually begins with a paper tracing of the skater's foot and then based on they type of skater (dance, recreational, pairs, for realz), a recommendation will be made on the type of skates. Then, usually in concert with the skater's coach, blades are selected and the crew sets about hand-making the skates custom for the skater. At the first fitting, the skater tries on the boots, sensitive areas (ankle bones, back sides, etc.) are blown out and "cooked" into place (no, literally cooked into place - he puts them in an oven and cooks your boots while you wait.) Then skate blades are mounted and there's another quick look-see to make sure they are even and then the blades are tightened in and we're ready to go! If, along the way there are any problems that crop up, the crew does their best using years and years of experience to get the skater gliding again. So, yeah, almost 20 years later, I highly recommend SP-Teri. They are local and all-American, they know what they are doing from generations of experience and they stand behind their products. We've been to others (once) but we came back because really, to us, no one compares.
