We used Califuze to cater our daughter's wedding. They had been recommended to us by a friend, and we'll be passing out the same recommendation to everyone who needs a caterer. Let's start with communication. Fred, the owner, is very responsive. He asks great questions and quickly responded to all of our questions. We were planning the wedding from out of of town, so this was exceptionally helpful. He delivered generous samples of his menu TWICE so our daughter and son-in-law could taste and confirm our menu. The food is fresh, comes with a variety of options, and his menu easily accommodates all types of dietary needs. He even made a special sauce for an individual with an allergy. Fred also included plates and flat wear selected to match the color scheme, AND he delivered them ahead of time so the tables could be set. Ahead of the reception, his efficient crew arrived early, set up quickly, and were ready to serve on time. They were friendly, efficient, and took care of 140 guests in under hour - with each plate customized to the guests' requests. Of primary importance to me was the quality of the food. It was terrific and exactly what we expected. We received so many compliments from our guests. At the conclusion of service they packed up the leftovers and THEN they volunteered to serve dessert, which had been provided by another vendor. This past weekend, they provided the food for my daughter's 7th birthday party in my backyard. The build-your-own bowl or taco is very customizable to each guest and there's really no wrong combination because all of the choices and ingredients are delicious. We hired Califuze for my daughters first birthday part. This was for 60-65 people and they had quesadilla for the kids. Ryan and Kris setup the event and was very professional. Setup and cleaned up without a hitch! I truly enjoyed their service and food. With all my picky guest they even made meat quesadilla for the adults. We paid a premium for the brisket (this was the best one). I let my husband handle the meat and i was against paying the premium but it was the best one!!! Then we had chicken and shrimp! I booked Califuze for a Co-Ed wedding shower I was planning and it was nothing short of amazing! Fred was very friendly and prompt-- he replied to all my questions right away about the different food options he offered on AND off the menu. He also was very accommodating in creating a menu that worked well within our budget. The Co-ed wedding shower had a very casual vibe, but I still wanted the food to be top-notch. The bride and groom are also big foodies, so I had to make sure I was booking the best! We hired Califuze for our wedding on 2/17/19 and this was honestly the best investment we made. We had around 95 guests and had the charcuterie board, drinks, tacos and bowls with three different proteins. We were blown away by Fred and his team from when we had the tasting with him to the day of our wedding. He really worked with us to make our vision come to life. Fred and his team were so easy to work with, accommodating with our requests and changes and went above and beyond for us on the day of and we can not thank them enough for making our day so special. Fred not only brought his tents and umbrellas for us to use but his team also helped us setup and clean up everything. It started raining during our speeches and one of his guys ran up to our table with an umbrella and stood there to hold down the umbrella and cover us from the rain.
