We used Califuze to cater our daughter's wedding. They had been recommended to us by a friend, and we'll be passing out the same recommendation to everyone who needs a caterer. Let's start with communication. Fred, the owner, is very responsive. He asks great questions and quickly responded to all of our questions. We were planning the wedding from out of of town, so this was exceptionally helpful. He delivered generous samples of his menu TWICE so our daughter and son-in-law could taste and confirm our menu. The food is fresh, comes with a variety of options, and his menu easily accommodates all types of dietary needs. He even made a special sauce for an individual with an allergy. Fred also included plates and flat wear selected to match the color scheme, AND he delivered them ahead of time so the tables could be set. Ahead of the reception, his efficient crew arrived early, set up quickly, and were ready to serve on time. They were friendly, efficient, and took care of 140 guests in under hour - with each plate customized to the guests' requests. Of primary importance to me was the quality of the food. It was terrific and exactly what we expected. We received so many compliments from our guests. At the conclusion of service they packed up the leftovers and THEN they volunteered to serve dessert, which had been provided by another vendor. This is everything you want from a caterer - great service, terrific food, and generous portions - all at an excellent value. read more

We hired Califuze for a church anniversary event with 100+ guests and they were a hit! Fred and his team were great to work with -- professional, organized, helpful- they went above and beyond. The food was delicious- fresh, flavorful, abundant, and the team packaged the leftovers for guests to take home. They also have the small details in mind which make an impact- from the nice food signage to the bowl of mints for guests. We appreciated their friendly interactions with our congregation as well- thanks, Califuze! read more

Califuze has catered many of my family members' events and I always enjoyed their food. I have always wanted to hire them for my next party. This past weekend, they provided the food for my daughter's 7th birthday party in my backyard. As previously mentioned, my family has had their food many times, but it was my in-laws' first time and they all enjoyed it! The build-your-own bowl or taco is very customizable to each guest and there's really no wrong combination because all of the choices and ingredients are delicious. Communication with Fred was five stars and the service was great! They made custom signs for my daughter's birthday. Just a tip, they only mentioned needing a 15x10 ft area but on the day of my event, they needed an outlet as well so make sure to clarify if they need an outlet so you can plan your party's layout accordingly. read more

I had an amazing experience with Califuze - the food was fresh (and friggin' amazing), the service was prompt, and all accommodations were made quickly and painlessly. Fred was an absolute pleasure to work with. We ordered 25 prepackaged meals for my mother's 70th birthday - it was a COVID-safe drive by party, so the prepackaged meals were convenient, quick and super delicious! Fred worked with all special requests/dietary restrictions to provide all of our guests with an overall fantastic experience. Thank you Fred and THANK YOU CALIFUZE for making my mom's birthday a memorable one! :) read more

Califuze Catering - SO good and SO filling! - Asian Fusion Near Me

We were at a 2 night event so we were fortunate enough to enjoy the brisket tacos, shredded smoked pork rice bowl as well as the vegetable bowls & tortillas. One word describes the experience: Incredible! From the minute you get an aroma of the food to your last bite you will just smile If anyone is catering an event look no further. This crew creates food to remember & food you will crave. I need to find their next event & crash it. I'll take my chances. I only hope I can eat before they toss me out read more

We hired Califuze for my daughters first birthday part. This was for 60-65 people and they had quesadilla for the kids. Ryan and Kris setup the event and was very professional. Setup and cleaned up without a hitch! I truly enjoyed their service and food. With all my picky guest they even made meat quesadilla for the adults. We paid a premium for the brisket (this was the best one). I let my husband handle the meat and i was against paying the premium but it was the best one!!! Then we had chicken and shrimp! All great and amazing!!! Will definitely hire them again and for many other events to come! Don't forget that they actually give you a free tasting! We didnt know about it but will definitely want to get one in next time so i can try the other meats! read more

I had Califuze for the first time at a friend's birthday. I loved the self-service setup because you could really customize your bowl to your liking & preference. I really liked the rice, sausage, and chicken! Their sauces also really added flavor and some spice to the bowl, which was great!! Everything had a different flavor, yet it all tasted so good together! I also kept munching on their tortilla chips & guac, YUM! I'll definitely keep Califuze in mind next time I need a catering! read more

The shrimp was good but the vegan chicken tasted like poop and was slimy. The chips and guac were ok. Wasn't very impressed.

Let me start by saying Califuze is the most amazing caterer I've ever met. From start to finish professional. The food is ridiculously delish!! I've used Califuze 3 times now for my big fundraiser events. I don't have to worry about a thing. Everything is handled professionally and all I have to do is enjoy the tasty food. This is hands down my favorite go to caterer. I'm so glad I found Califuze. You won't regret using Califuze for your next special event, for any occasion, corporate or for meal prepping to your doorstep. I love Califuze!!! read more

Tried them for the first time when they catered a friend's birthday party. Food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. Even as a vegetarian, they had plenty of options for me. I'll definitely choose them to cater an event in the future! The crowd was overall pleased read more

Fantastic catering! The caterers showed up in reasonable time before our event and had everything ready to go for our hungry guests. The set up was great and easy for guests to customize their own tacos and bowls. Our steak, chicken, and pulled pork proteins were flavorful and delicious! Everything overall was incredibly fresh and tasty. The nice gentlemen working the event packed up our left overs and gave it to us at the end of service. Unfortunately we didn't have a firm headcount towards the date of our party but Califuze was flexible with our options and with payment. It was a big load off our minds! Califuze Catering would be a great option for any special event. Thank you for making our birthday party a success! read more

Amazing fusing of Mexi-Cali culture food. Fantastic blend of flavors and a very unique touch on style and entrees. The house sauces are just as flavorful and the variety is a nice touch. His creativity on new dishes and themes is the cherry on top. Had the opportunity to taste different styles of Fred's food for a handful of events and honestly, everybody I've seen who has tried anything of his absolutely loves it. The presentation and setup is also very clean and professional. He is very outgoing and friendly with his staff as well as the guests and I highly recommend giving him a try for any and all types of events. In my opinion, whatever you try, you won't be disappointed! So good! read more

I can't say enough about Fred and his team. Not only is he an excellent chef, but his business model, his follow-up, flexibility, and attention to detail is just by far the best I've ever experienced. He does corporate events for us and we just love him!!! We try to find any excuses to work with Fred every chance we get. My sister recommended him a few years ago after she worked with him at Target distribution centers, and we've loved him ever since. If you do business with Califuze you will not regret it. read more

Had the pleasure of trying Califuze catering at my work's Christmas party. Chef Fred was nice and hooked it up with those tacos! My favorite was the STEAK! You can taste the grill on it and the marinade was bomb. I went for seconds and got a bowl which was obvi yummy also. I went for thirds and sadly all the steak was gone. Don't sleep on the steak. Guacamole had a little bit of a kick to it which is a plus in my book! Everything tasted fresh and seemed healthy. Very happy I was able to try this catering company. Will use them in future events for sure! read more

We just hired this company to cater our Super Bowl party. We had well over 20 adults and quite a few kids as well. The service is terrific. The food was terrific. Kid friendly, adult friendly, and catered to all diets (vegan, Keto, etc). All of the food and sauces were A+. Everyone I came In contact with was also very professional, easy going, and just pleasant to do business with. Super impressed. Will DEFINITELY be recommending you to people I know, and will definitely cater from you again in the future. Loved the Concept, the quality, and even the style of your food. Everything was just top quality and spot on. In addition to the bowls, we got The charcuterie board and bacon wrapped dates.. just perfection. Oh, and The spicy sauce is SO good! Has a similar type of kick as el taurino, or king taco red sauce. It was gooooood. Thanks Califuze!! You guys are awesome. read more

Had the pleasure of trying some tacos from Califuze and my taste buds were blown away. The tacos were nothing I've experienced before (I had the chicken & beef, recommended by one of the staff members). The meat was moist and had plenty of flavor. Their toppings (I went with some onions, corn salsitas & cilantro) along with the chipotle fire sauce completed this MexiAsian experience. I really wanted to try some other dishes, but was a bit stuffed. Hopefully another time The crew members were very friendly and professional and the set-up made it easy for people to chose what they wanted read more

I met Fred at a few events here and there. The fact that I kept meeting him at different events told me 2 things. 1.This food is legit(which was later confirmed and then ratified time and time again) And 2.people trust him. I got to strike conversation with him because, ionno... You wanna be good to the hand that feeds you. And he seems like an honest hard-working dude. I respect that , he knows his craft, and did I mention that his food is good? I've had his food at least three times in different occasions and let me tell you, each time, there is something different about his menu, which keeps it interesting. I totally recommend it. My tastebuds have been blessed to be able to taste Califuze on more than one occasion. I booked Califuze for a Co-Ed wedding shower I was planning and it was nothing short of amazing! Fred was very friendly and prompt-- he replied to all my questions right away about the different food options he offered on AND off the menu. He also was very accommodating in creating a menu that worked well within our budget. The Co-ed wedding shower had a very casual vibe, but I still wanted the food to be top-notch. The bride and groom are also big foodies, so I had to make sure I was booking the best! We had rice bowls and tacos with kbbq Tri-tip, curried beef, and mango chicken adobo with a great selection of toppings and sauces. Some people were aware we were having tacos, but were very impressed on the quality of food and the Asian fusion twist that Fred executed. Fred's associate, Bob, was there to help on day of the event. He got there on time and set up all by himself really quick. The set-up looked really nice and clean! He was super friendly and even offered to stay a little later than scheduled when some guests strolled in a little late. It wasn't necessary, but I really appreciated it. He also helped box up some leftovers so we could go back and eat some more later in the night! Over all, it was a hit and everyone loved the food. I definitely recommend Califuze to those planning any event/party & I'd definitely consider them for future events. Thanks Fred!! read more

FRED FTW! This is the third time we've had him here at our office for Friday lunch and I've got to say they keep getting better and better. So far hes served us the following: First visit: Califuze tacos = Delicious! Second visit: Califuze rice bowls = Outstanding! Third visit: Califuze inspired Mexican Tortas = BOMB AF! Fred has a passion for cooking and it really shows in his food. He smokes all of his meats and makes all of his signature sauces and toppings. We hired Califuze for my sister's baby shower (of about 100 people) and it was awesome. Fred and his team we so professional and provided delicious food for our party. Our menu included options between rice bowls and bao buns. The meats were between beef, chicken, and pulled pork. The beef was so juicy and tender, the chicken had such good flavor, and the pulled pork was so smoky and delicious. Oh and can't forget about the sauces and the chips and guac he made. *mouth-watering* The service was impeccable and the setup was like a "chipotle" set up where you choose your bowl/bun and go down the line for all your fixings. We hired Califuze for our wedding on 2/17/19 and this was honestly the best investment we made. We had around 95 guests and had the charcuterie board, drinks, tacos and bowls with three different proteins. We were blown away by Fred and his team from when we had the tasting with him to the day of our wedding. He really worked with us to make our vision come to life. Fred and his team were so easy to work with, accommodating with our requests and changes and went above and beyond for us on the day of and we can not thank them enough for making our day so special. Let me tell you, we had to scramble last minute for a Plan B due to rain on the day for our outside venue. Fred not only brought his tents and umbrellas for us to use but his team also helped us setup and clean up everything. It started raining during our speeches and one of his guys ran up to our table with an umbrella and stood there to hold down the umbrella and cover us from the rain. Literally a hero and MVP out of all of our vendors. Our guests loved the food, drinks and appetizers. They were really fast getting through all guests and many of them came back for seconds. His setup is so much fun, colorful and perfect for a rustic wedding. We got so many compliments from our guests on how amazing the food and drinks were and how friendly Fred and his staff was. I'd give Califuze a billion stars, if I could. THANK YOU, Fred! read more

Just came by Macleods Brewing Co. to discover some just as amazing food. Healthy rice bowls accompanied by your choice of mango chicken , shredded beef or a Korean style tender tri tip. Well just leave it at that. The rest is up to you on the other sides and condiments. Had 2 bowls and they were both fucking great. 2 more beers and I'll have a 3rd one. Well cooked and thoughtfully crafted. The sauces are also pretty noteworthy. read more
