I described my problem and asked if he could repair my lock. He was able to give me a DIY solution over email. Silicon lubricant worked like a charm. Thanks, Brian! read more

Brian helped me after we installed a new lock on our door and it locked me out. He went above and beyond.

Used twice now, always quick to respond and punctual. So nice and professional. My insurance hires outside companies and sent a disheveled, dirty, young man working out of his old grimy cars trunk who had no idea what he was doing. Although he was nice, his unprofessional appearance and lack of experience made me nervous and uncomfortable wasting 2 hours total between wait time and efforts. I sent him on his way and called Cal-Re-Key. Most insurance companies will reimburse but more importantly I always feel comfortable using a local business that excels with quick knowledge and experience as well as professionalism. read more

We lost our last key for our old Chevy Tahoe. I called Brian Sullivan and he was at our home the very next day equipped with the ability to make a new key with remote. Great Service. Very nice person. Smooth process do sure. Thank you Brian with the very AWESOME California Re-Key!! read more

Someone (not me) locked their keys in the car while it was running at 630am while it was warming up. I called California Re-Key and they were at my house in 15 minutes unlocking my car. Fast, efficient and professional. I REALLY appreciate their speedy service. read more

Brian did a wonderful job and was able to finish the job in great time. I was back on the road quickly with 2 new keys for my Accord.

Brian goes above and beyond! Our office door lock failed about 6 PM on a Sunday night. Brian came to the rescue! He was efficient, fairly priced, skilled, and certainly made our lives a whole lot easier and better by responding to our call and coming out on a Sunday evening. We have used him previously and have always been completely satisfied. I most highly recommend Brian for all your locksmith needs. read more

California Re Key - Business card for California Re-Key - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Cameron Park, California

Brian did an amazing job re-keying all the locks in my new home. The new keys worked very well and was able to consolidate the total number of Keys from 6 down to 2. Brian was able to book my appointment and work with my schedule. He quickly finished the job and charged a fair and reasonable price. I definitely plan to have him install additional locks and re-key them. read more

Upon returning home I found my elderly neighbor out in front of her home in a panic. She had accidentally locked herself outside with no phone or access back inside the house. I found Ca Re-Key on Yelp and made a call. I explained the situation and Brian said he's be out in 15 minutes. He was there promptly and quickly gave her access back to her house. Brian was both very kind and efficient! I have already shared his contact info with neighbors in case they may need a locksmith. What a nice guy and so thankful how quickly he was able to take care of us! Thank you!! read more

Although I live in Folsom, it was well worth the short trip up the hill to get spare keys made for my truck. The dealer wanted $150 to laser cut a spare key for me, and worse, I would have to wait a week, plus two trips to the dealership. I found Brian's service to be thoroughly professional. I learned that when you don't have two original keys, my truck has a security feature that requires a solid half hour or longer to complete the programming. Rather than being annoyed that he'd have to fool around with this job for so long, Brian apologized that it would take some time to complete. He's a good guy and fun to talk to, so the 30 minutes flew by pretty quick anyway. Since I didn't want to get caught short a key again should I lose one, I had Brian make 2 additional spares. In the end, I paid less to have 3 keys made than it would have cost me at the dealer for one, plus they were all done in less than an hour, tested and programmed. read more

Brian was prompt and to answer the phone and came the same day. He was professional and friendly. He made two keys for my guest house which i had misplaced. Price was reasonable that's a plus too. I would highly recommend using California RE-Key and Locksmith anytime your in a bind. read more

Heard there was a mobile re-key guy in Cameron Park and tracked Brian down. Glad I did! Needed a spare key for daughters SUV and didn't want to spend between 250-300 at the rip off dealerships! Brian recommended a key w separate lock fob instead of the integrated lock and key OEM. It was 1/2 the price and Brian came to the house. He kept in touch via text and came when he said he would after part arrived. Appreciated the work he did and the key works great. DONT GO TO THE DEALER for a spare key! Call Brian! read more

Excellent customer service! I needed a vehicle key fob replaced, cut and programmed. We communicated via email at first and he was quick to answer all my questions. We met to have the services completed and Brian was efficient and thorough. Saved hundreds compared to the dealer price quote. Would highly recommend! read more

This locksmith helped me out after another locksmith scammed me. I am so grateful that I have such an honest and trustworthy locksmith in my local community. Thank you Brian! read more

Brian went above and beyond for us. We live in an old mobile home and needed a part that I didn't think they even made anymore. He researched it and found the right part online and got the job done beautifully. Because of the fact that the lock was about 45 years old and an odd size (everything about old mobile homes is an odd or non-standard size), plus the first latch he got came out of the box defective, it took a couple tries to get it done. Brian was totally professional and even apologetic about it taking longer. And he didn't charge a penny more for the extra service call. Whether it's for the house or cars, from now on we will ALWAYS call Brian Sullivan for all our lock and key needs. And we'll tell all of our neighbors and friends about him too. It's easy to see why pretty much all of his reviews are 5 stars. Call him. read more

Brian was amazing! So professional and kind. I had a key emergency and he came out within 30 minutes of calling and made sure to do his best to give me the cheapest options. He even went out of his way to send me paper work to receive partial reimbursement from my insurance. He was quick and efficient and had me back on the road with a key in no time. Highly recommend and will definitely be using him with future key issues. read more

I wish there were 10 stars to give - best professional out there! Brian got my camping vehicle project re-keyed and working in less time I needed to pick up my son from elementary school. Highly recommend! read more

You talk about excellent service, I called 10 min. to 6 on Friday left message , he was closing @ 6 . Mr Sullivan called about 6 said he was on his way home from Placerville. What was my problem, said I can't get my key to work on hitch lock so couldn't use hitch. Next thing he was ringing my door bell. Looked at hitch gave him what I thought was key played with it in an out and got my hitch off . Thats what I call service plus gave me a break on his service which was nice since my wife and I are retired. Again Thank You. Ron. PS Getting new lock read more

Re: Ford Mykey system reboot The keyless fobs I purchased online came with a referral to California Re-Key & lock to wipe system, program and cut the new hidakey blank. Initially Brian indicated he doesn't cut keys he doesn't sell, when I mentioned the online retailer referred me to him, he then quoted me a price and asked me to drive to his location. Unfortunately, after several attempts Brian was unable to clear cars system of all previous keys, known as Flashing the system by removing the Limited MyKey feature and adding the new Admin key privileges. However, he did program the new fobs as Mykeys but wouldn't cut the keys until he researched a solution, this was on a Friday. By Wednesday of the next week I still hadn't heard from Brian so I sent him a text and he responded with directions to have me enter settings to clear Mykey, unfortunately, these settings are only available with the Admin key. Since he was unable to Flash the system he suggested there was something wrong with the key fobs but that was not the case. Instead it turned out to be the system Brian used to program the fobs. I called the company that sold me the fobs and they suggested another locksmith and admitted they do not actually know if the locksmiths they refer have the correct systems to perform system Flashes. Luckily I found another locksmith that not only flashed the system, programmed the fobs to Admin Keys, cut the blanks but also provided me with the key code in the event I ever needed a key made and didn't have one with me. I'm disappointed Brian wasn't more active in resolving the issue on his abilities to perform the job and left me hanging for days forcing me to contact him several times, after I clearly stated the need to remove the MyKey feature over the phone. I even supplied him video of the process but he was not helpful. I had to seek another locksmith who knew exactly what I was talking about. The only Pro was Brian didn't charge me for driving out to his house 45 mins away, having me leave without a completed job only to be forced to track him down to inquire if he could actually complete the job or not. But he eventually admitted he could not complete job based on the system he uses. The low star rating is based on the amount of time I wasted waiting for Brian to admit he didn't have the system to do the job and blaming it on the new fobs that I "didn't buy from him." read more

My keys were stolen...after waiting 3 1/2 hours for "no shows", I found CA Re-Key...wow! Not only did they show up on Memorial Day evening, my car was successfully re-keyed and the owner worked until 11pm to make it happen. This was HUGE since without keys, I couldn't make it to my office in Loomis by 8am to serve my clients as scheduled. You couldn't ask for better and more honest service!!! Thank you Brian and Teresa! Don't call those top of Google, $15 in 15 minutes locksmiths because they aren't local - it's an out of state call center trying to find a locksmith to come out and they lie about cost and service time! read more

I just wanted to thank California Re-key. I spent several days trying to find someone that would come out and open a BMW (including the dealership who could not). I had originally called asking for other information and when I explained the situation Brian offered to come out and try it with out hassle and no charge if he could not open it. Unfortunately he was unable to but he did not give up, he called someone else he believed strongly that could do it and we were successful. After spending hours on the phone with complicated issues and fighting with everyone Brain answered the phone immediately and gave us the answers we needed. Thank you so much Brian. After everything we had been through we truly appreciated you finding us a solution! read more

Brian return my phone call promptly. He researched and ordered a replacement key cylinder for a door on an old truck. He found what I needed and keyed the cylinder to my existing key. When the work was done he stuck to the originally quoted price which was reasonable. He was prompt and professional. I lost my house keys on the way to work this morning two counties away. By the time I had ensured I wouldn't find them, I searched in Yelp for locksmiths near El Dorado Hills since I had no prior experience here. This firm had the best reviews. I called and got Brian, who coordinated his arrival with the end of my commute. He was a minute early. He assessed the problem, made the choices simple and had the work done in minutes. His choice minimized damaging the locks or causing me to re-key everything. His work was solid, on-time and the price was very fair. read more
