I went to Nail Spa for a simple gel removal and had a really upsetting experience. They initially sanded down the gel and wrapped my nails in acetone with foil, which is standard. But after I sat there for about 45 minutes, the gel still wasn't coming off easily. Instead of handling it properly, the technician became visibly frustrated and started using a cuticle cutter to peel layers of my actual nail off. I said "ouch" multiple times, it was painful and clearly not being done carefully. When I left, my nails were damaged and actually bleeding. This was not just poor technique, it just felt careless. On top of that, the overall experience was cold and unwelcoming. No one greeted me when I walked in, and there was little to no communication the entire time. I've since had to buy a medical-grade nail treatment just to try to repair the damage. I do not recommend this place. What should have been a simple service turned into a painful and unnecessary experience.

I've never had any problems but have seen Eddy treat customers poorly. I had one nail pop off one and a half weeks after they were done. I called and they were busy. I noticed today that I had green underneath one of my other nails. So this was 2.5 weeks after getting them done. I had one pop off, one fell off at the salon today and I had the green nail bed on the third nail. No one wanted to accept responsibility and Eddy started yelling at me when I said I was upset with what was happening. Mary said it was time for me to come for a fill in and Eddy said I had a bruise on my nail. It was no bruise. It was where the acrylic nail had lifted up and water got in causing my nail to turn green. He stood up and was telling me it was my fault and if I didn't like it, I could leave. I talked with Mary again while I was seated in front of her. I explained I had never had these problems. She said it was because of my grandchildren that I take care of. I told her it wasn't because of them. But she insisted. I told her I stay home every day and I don't soak my nails in water so something was wrong. Eddy started yelling again and came over and told me to get out of his place and I could never come back. This kept going on with him yelling while his wife Mary kept telling me it's ok, she will take care of it. Eddy had me crying hysterically and my hands shaking. I said I was going to call and he said "go ahead call, I don't care, this is my business. I was going to call my husband. I finally texted my husband and told him to come and help me. He came and Eddy lied and said I yelled at Mary. When my husband asked Mary about it she said I didn't. Mary kept apologizing for Eddy and he never once apologized. He didn't feel like he did anything wrong. I will never return there again even though Mary said for me just to talk with her next time and don't talk to him. It's a shame because Mary did a great job for many years and her husband destroyed a place that I enjoyed going to on a regular basis. Please don't go. Eddy was so disrespectful, he doesn't deserve that business. My husband took me home and I have been crying and shaking ever since. I have never ever been talked to in such a manner. I need this to be posted on every review site available.
