Horrible experience. Despite having an appointment, my daughter sat in the chair for nearly two…read morehours and only received a basic nail cleaning. The nail technician stopped midway and then said it would be another hour before starting the acrylics. Completely unacceptable. They repeatedly pushed her to switch to gel nails instead. Like most nail salons in the Philippines, they do not have massage chairs with a jet stream basin, but instead chairs and foot stools. I opted for a foot spa, which included a short foot soak in a rubber basin they brought out (less than 5 min for me), callus removal, cuticle care, and polish application. My service was done by Pauline who did an awesome job. 10/10 would request her again. She was thorough with my feet spending about 30 min with the foot file, transforming my callused man-feet back to its baby soft form. She was gentle with my cuticles and applied the polish perfectly -- just up against my cuticles, but without touching them. The shellac on my hands were done by Grace who did a decent job. They weren't to my standard as I'm picky about how clean and close the polish is around the cuticle, but still clean enough to be acceptable since they still looked neat. She definitely nicked me a couple of times with the cuticle nippers, but drew no blood. The nail technicians here have a difficult time communicating in English, but they have decent shop talk and you can get by if you don't know Tagalog. The polish selection is small and there is an up charge for certain polishes. They don't have OPI shellac, which is what I was looking for. I wanted a dark blue shellac, but the only one available was imported from Japan and had about a 700 php up charge, which wasn't cool. I'd probably come again for the price, but would specifically request Pauline.

First of all, the ladies are 100% friendly and highly skilled to make you happy at the end of the services. For a simple mani and pedi, you will be totally satisfied. I won't ever think of saying anything bad to them. The customers will say it all. I see a lot of tourists as well and locals. The foot spa here is like a million dollar service! I'm not kidding. Anyway, located at the #5 Biggest Mall in the world, Mall of Asia(MOA), it is just perfect after a whole day of shopping. In this particular side of the mall you will see all other self-care spots like massage, hair and skin care, sauna and spas. So yes, I'm the first one to review and I am very proud of them. Until my next visit!

She also scraped underneath the nail, which is completely unnecessary and can be extremely damaging. You'd think she'd get the hint to lighten up at my physically recoiling my foot in pain. Nope! Relaxation music is playing which made the juxtaposition of how painful this pedicure is hilarious. I also doubt any of the tools are replaced or even sterilized in between customers. The nail file she used was falling apart.

A few seat locations need to be reupholstered, but they cover those areas with a towel. This place looks much nicer and cleaner than most nail salons. There is usually a movie playing. If you're the only one having your nails done, you could usually ask them to play a different movie. Let's get started with the All Out Diva Pedicure that I pamper myself with. Nica (Veronica) soaks my feet in nice warm water. She applies a mask onto my feet and calves, then wraps it with cellophane. She proceeds to cut my toe nails and cuticles. Afterwards, an exfoliation scrub is massaged onto my calves and feet. They are then wrapped with a towel. After ? minutes, the scrub is rinsed off with warm water. A warm towel is used to remove whatever might have been left behind. The calves and feet are massaged with an oil. Lotion is then added onto the calves and feet in which the massage continues. As one calf/foot is being massaged, the other side is covered with a towel. You'll need to let her know if you want a soft or hard massage. Afterwards, both legs are covered with a towel. The towels are removed and my feet are individually placed within plastic bags filled with paraffin wax. Booties are placed on top of the plastic bags, and the calves are wrapped with a towel. After ? minutes, the towel, bootie, plastic and wax is removed. The calves and feet are wiped down with a dry towel. An under coat is applied onto my toe nails. A double coat of the base coat is applied. My French tips are then painted on. The top coat is the end of my pedicure. I then go under the fans to dry the nail polish. Sounds awesome right? That is because it is! All that wonderful pampering for 1000 Pesos. I usually come mid-week, and I like being Nica's last customer of the day. I make sure I tip Nica well, because it is my way of thanking her for the amount of time she takes to pamper me.

I got cold water, massage was like 5 min total and the scrub was like a minute a leg, the nail polish was not placed over base coat, The nail polish was not cleaned up well from my skin and generally not a good experience. Don't even get me started on the manicure. The file was not filing properly so I have uneven nails and not the shape I wanted, even after asking twice. Then I had to ask her to clean my cuticle up several times for different fingers. Again no base coast and since I got clear, only placed the top coat. What a waste of time and money. Additionally the place needs an update badly. Stained everything, broken fabric, the fans are in shambles...never again!

I started to talk but they were looking at me. I think if a salon is located in the mall then they should be comfortable talking to foreigners. I stayed anyways with the awkward greeting. I kept telling them I want gray highlights. I showed photos and we agreed for it to be ombré highlights. It didn't turn out that way. The guy cutting my hair also just chopped away and not checking if it's even. I just gave up with telling them what I wanted since they didn't give me a response whenever I said anything. The lady next to me kept yelling at them for hours telling them what she wants and they let it happen. When I finally told them that lady is annoying and asking when my hair would be completed the lady finally left. I was watching a show on my phone and I could hear her clearly still since she was so loud. It's a business and she was very loud and obnoxious. Should've thrown her out. I also had a pedicure and the girl kept stabbing my feet. No apology or anything and she kept trying to stop the bleeding. I really don't think they wanted to speak to me. I'll probably wait until my gray hair grows out again and get it recolored and cut.

My hands had not seen a manicure in ages, and my feet, well - they needed help too. This is located in between the main wing and south wing of MOA on the second floor. In that whole area, there are about 5-10 other nail shops you can shop and may pass through, although most of them are on the south building, while this is on the main building. For some reason, I think this place had the most reasonable prices (aka, cheaper...), but I could be wrong. I had the mani/pedi combo, I think it was 700. Daughter got acrylics extensions for 1500. Her boyfriend did a pedi. We were all very satisfied with the level of service and the quality cures we had. Workers were friendly and very patient. They took their time and made sure our toes and hands were clean and looked great! Second time around - this time we were on a really limited schedule. I wanted to do the same thing all over again, mani/pedi, but no time. My 2 teenage boys got their first manicures (200 each) because they are too old for the kid mani which was 150. I had a 30 minute back massage for 350. Sooo relaxing, was willing to do a 1.5 hour massage but again, no time. The only thing I did not like was that massage lady kept trying to sell me Argan oil for my body and hair, which I had to turn down.

Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed, stressed, and concerned about the condition of my nails. The therapist who attended to me, Irene, appeared to be very careless during the procedure. She was too rough while cleaning my nails, causing significant discomfort and pain. I informed her that I have high blood sugar and requested that she be more gentle and careful. Despite this, my nail started bleeding. I no longer felt comfortable with how the service was being performed, as the pain continued and there seemed to be little effort to adjust her technique. When she proceeded to clean my other foot, the same thing happened. I again told her that it was painful and asked her to stop because it was already bleeding as well. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that your nail cleaning service costs more than what many other nail salons charge. I did not mind paying a higher price because I expected better care, professionalism, and attention to client safety. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced. As of now, my nail has become swollen and has developed pus, causing significant pain and discomfort. This has resulted in additional stress and concern on my part. I hope management will take this matter seriously, review the incident, and ensure that staff members are properly trained to perform services safely and with the level of care that clients deserve. No customer should leave a salon with an injury and a possible infection after a routine nail cleaning service. Rating: 1/5 - Very disappointing experience.
