Back in the good old days, Beauty Bar was a huge, spacious store in Power Plant. Its location wasn't far from where it is now, right next to MAC. Today, Essences by Rustan's occupies the large space. Beauty Bar is a few feet away, in a smaller, but still pretty spacious store. Dashing Diva is in a separate unit altogether, on the other side of MAC.
This newer (I use the comparative adjective because the store has been around for years now) branch has a menu that, much like everything else, has been sorely affected by inflation. Prices are even steeper than they were before, thrice or maybe even four times more expensive than some nail salons. However, procedures here are more hygienic, professional, and consistent than those of Dashing Diva's cheaper counterparts. You do get what you pay for--to a certain extent.
Instruments come individually packaged and opened only when you're seated and ready to be pampered, so you're confident that you won't be getting tetanus from rusty, dirty, potentially wounding nailcutters and cuticle trimmers. They have a very wide selection of nail colors, and always half of them are unavailable.
Just as higher end hair salons do, you can request for some water or iced tea. I find that the nail technicians themselves aren't much different than others who offer the same services for cheaper prices, so you won't be blown away by good service here. However they do their jobs well, and they do it thoroughly, so you do feel pampered and relaxed after. read more
