I noticed corrosion on the gate valve in the garage and pressure regulator, so I discussed having that replaced then noticed my cities water authority had a project called pure water. Pure water takes the toilet water and grey water and they remove the solids then filter the water with reverse osmosis and use filters to remove contamination. They then pump the water back into the ground water to mix it more and pump the water out at a different location. Needless to say, I decided i wanted my own whole house filter. I…read moreasked the person how much it would be to come out and install the heater and the guy messaged back $95. I though what a deal and set up the appointment to come out. The guy gave me a time of 930 to 1030. He showed up at 1115 and awkwardly looked at the box like he didn't know where to start and then ramble about how there was a misunderstanding with him and another appointment or tech (couldn't really follow the story) and that if I gave him cash he would do it for $950. After telling him that from the estimates I got from others that that was way over priced. He then said to go with the lower offers. He proceeded to tell us the $95 was just for him to drive over here. I couldn't helped but feel totally scammed for $95! BEWARE!!
