Best tasting donuts and shakes hands down. I loved my experience at this donut shop. You get a wide variety of flavors, boba, shakes, ice cream, chips, and I think even candy. Like wow read more

Stopped here around noon cuz the reviews were good....went inside and was surprised at the limited amount of choices they had...I honestly just wanted a maple bar which ALL donut shops have.... except this one....so I chose to get 12 donut holes for $2.50 since I figure it's hard to mess those up...I tasted one and tossed the rest...they had hardly any icing on them and tasted stale! My first and last time here! read more

The donuts at this place are amazing. You can tell that when biting into one they are made fresh daily and the oil is not old. The best time to go get some donuts is in the morning when they open because they have been made fresh. The service is good the employees are nice and are kind. The ambience is normal just a usual corner store, a bit small inside. Overall I do recommend coming here! read more

Sorry but no bought two regular donuts nothing special and it was pricey $6 hell no I'm better off going to winchells and getting a half dozen or going to Krispie Kreme. Service is bad too the lady is just bland not welcoming never again read more

I woke up this morning craving some donuts. So I yelped some donut shops to see which one to go to based on reviews. I came across these California Donuts. YELPERS, they're NOT the same "California Donuts" that are in Korea Town LA!!! How y'all going to confuse them??? Don't come here thinking you're going to find those "panda cookies n cream" donuts, "fruity pebbles donuts", etc. This is a regular donut shop like any other one around South East LA. It seems this is the South Gate spot. Right in the heart of South Gate, everyone one comes here. Sometimes it might get a little busy. It's really small in there. You have your old folks just chillin' there in the mornings. There is a great parking lot to park and walk to it. Getting down to the donuts, I bought a coffee and two donuts. They were really fresh and soft. I'll definitely come back to buy some here in the future. Coffee was regular... pretty good. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE IS THAT THEY SELL YOU THE FLAVOR CREAMERS FOR 10cents. I mean they can just boost up the price on product to cover that fee and give them out. That's just a suggestion of mine to the owner. read more

It's sorta, kinda okay. The variety is lacking and their donuts aren't the freshest. The service is okay but they aren't the best at varying the "assorted". Home girl gave me like 3 of the same donut. The maple donut just tastes like sugar. The old fashioned is bland and just tastes like sugar (I prefer there to be a sour/butter milk flavor). The cake donuts were soft (soggy) and old. I'm actually upset I went here. It wasn't extremely horrible it just was underwhelming. Also, not to be confused with the California donuts in LA... these are two unrelated establishments. read more

It's cute donuts but they don't live up to the hype especially at night when it's late and they've been sitting. So I would say go early when their fresh and ready instead of waiting late like I did. read more

Not like the California Donuts on 3rd in LA and THANKFUL FOR THAT! This store seems to be a family owned business, and the people behind the counter are always super sweet and helpful. Selection features many classics you'd see at other local donut stores, with great pricing. They may not have "specialty donuts" but those donuts are too much hype anyways. Plus the guy who works closing has a sweet Impreza RS! read more

Insanely good hours considering it's only got one to two people at a time. Very fair pricing, Their sandwiches and donuts are delicious and I cant wait until two more hours when they open, with their great customer service and all, and I can get my late night/early morning munchies taken care of. Standout donuts too, extensive variety and they taste better here than at your average donut shop. Ton of choices in the area for food and I always find myself here. read more

Best donuts in all of South Gate. Get there early in the am. Later in the day, the left out donuts get old. Good flavors, cheery, warm donuts. Cool cool little shop. read more

So you've seen all these fancy colorful donuts being posted all over social media that everyone buys just for the gram (Instagram) but they're all the way in L.A? Same thing. These donuts are good! I loved the Oreo and Cinnamon Toast Crunch! You should definitly try them out and go early so they're fresh! read more

Meh, it was ok. It just looks cute that's all. :) They definitely took the time to make the donuts look good.

Love the coffee here and much friendliness can be expected. This is nice spot to go get ur morning coffee and donut.

Such a friendly environment, I love coming here to get my favorite donuts they're so delicious and made fresh. This place is family owned and everyone that works here is always very friendly and welcoming. Support your communities small businesses! read more

This is not a part of the California Donuts chain that makes specialty donuts. The staff is nice, donuts aren't bad, but if you are expecting cereal, reeces, or any other extravagant toppings this is not the spot. read more

This place is just a regular Doughnut shop. We came looking for the specialty Doughnuts that are advertised and they don't make them. Needless to say, we are very disappointed! read more

So the other day me and my friends went on a mission to get some donuts . We heard this place was fire and we wanted to try it out so bad. We ended up making it there and it took so long to get there considering there was traffic. The donuts were fire I mean literally fire they were so good that we ended up spending 30 dollars worth lol. Would seriously recommend the basic glazed . Or jelly filled can't go wrong with either. Also the staff was very nice and friendly . They weren't mad even though they were about to close lol read more

This is NOT the California Donuts that you're thinking...no cute panda or Snickers donuts here, this place just happens to share the same name as the spot in Koreatown (the real California Donuts). Other Yelp reviewer have mistakenly posed photos from the California Donuts shop in K-town...this is not it. It's a really little donut shop on the corner, Super hot, not a lot of space to sit and there's one small table outside. The guy in the shop was super nice but I got a bible school lesson while I was checking out...that was awkward. The donuts here are nothing to write home about, but they're no better or no worse than something you'd buy at any other mom and pop donut shop. If I lived near by I'd probably stop by occasionally, it's nothing id go out of my way for again. read more

My daughter spotted California Donuts as we were driving up California Street....of course she had California Donuts in Korea Town in mind; needless to say upon stepping into the shop we were graced with a warm welcome. The guy was very friendly and stated that unfortunately they are not affiliated with the other California Donuts. He provided us with a sample of the Blueberry Glaze Donut it was rather tasty. I purchased a few donut holes and a glaze donut; my girls enjoyed them. I have a thing for great customer service...I must admit that the customer service was OUTSTANDING and greatly appreciated. I'll definitely stop in when I'm in the area again. read more

I tried these for the first time at my job, the business owner did a collaboration with them for instagram i tried the Reeses peanut buttercup and Snickers donuts. They were really really deliches. The staff is super friendly and their donuts are so good and fresh. I've been coming here for years and I still love it. Will always be my favorite donut shop. read more

I was super disappointed by the donuts. I get that they have some pretty cool looking ones but that's kind of all they are. The doughnuts themselves tasted like cardboard & sugar with a glaze. The service isn't much really. You get your doughnuts, pay for them, and that's it. it's through a glass window so not much contact. Overall a wasted trip for below average doughnuts with finesse for instagram worthy photos and nothing more. read more

It's the best donut shop ever. The donuts they have are spectacular.they ma key the most attractive tastiest donuts ever

Came here with my cousin looking to satisfy that late donut craving. Looks like they put just enough love into making these. Perfectly round and fluffy, mouth watering. I didn't make it back to the parking lot without eating two. Granted we bought about a dozen. So god we had to finish a few outside. The guy in there that night had the best sense of humor of any guy behind a counter. It was a slow night so he was willing to converse with us for a bit. Great Guy. read more

Always Always fresh doughnuts. Very friendly and always welcoming vibe from the staff. PS support our local businesses besides they are way better than the big corporation doughnut shops. As some review stated no they are not affiliated with the Korea-town doughnut shop but who cares on weekends they sometimes do some "creative" fancy doughnuts. If you want fresh delicious no fuss doughnuts come here and enjoy. read more

Amazing customer service!!! The owner she's an older lady is so sweet yummy donuts! Taste fresh

The only bad thing is that the panda donut is not filled and my brother was stressing out Candace
