I was very satisfied with the information he provided me, but at the time my mom had already committed with someone else to do the job. Unfortunately, the other person that did the job did a horrible job with the fence. I wish I would've stayed and convinced my mom to have Larry do the job. I would recommend Larry to do your job. 1. He returned the call and apologize for not answering the call when I called. 2. He explained everything to you thoroughly and 3. He ended with our conversation with "Thank you for calling Larry's Fence. The results were fantastic. You would never know a Jacuzzi was ever there--the new deck blends in perfectly with the rest of the structure. Jim didn't just stop there. He also updated one of my exterior outlets, repaired the stucco where the Jacuzzi used to be, and even planted two ivory plants to finish off the area beautifully. The attention to detail was impressive from start to finish. On top of the quality of the work, the value was excellent. The pricing was very fair for the amount of labor, expertise, and care that went into the project. It's rare to find a contractor who provides great craftsmanship, clear communication, and honest pricing all at once. After nearly 20+ years of having a wrought iron fence that was rusted, in 2 mismatching colors, and…read morebroken in certain areas, I decided it was time to get estimates on a new fence for my property. Browsing through Yelp, I came upon Best Gates and Fencing and saw that they averaged 4.8 Yelp reviews. I read many of the reviews and perused the photos of the different fence projects they had done, and I was impressed with their work. I contacted the company and got a quick response from Miguel, the owner, to set up an appointment for an estimate. After meeting with Miguel, I gave him an idea of what I had in mind, and he took accurate measurements of my property. Miguel gave me estimates on the use of different materials: wood, aluminum, galvanized steel and vinyl. After giving Miguel a budget I could work with, he presented me the options of using natural premium redwood (stained and sealed) with powder coated galvanized steel posts. Miguel was very easy to work with, and I like how he offered his input to further enhance my vision of what I wanted. Miguel is very efficient, along with his coworker, and he takes great pride in providing a quality product. He always kept me in the loop regarding each work phase, and was quick to address any of my questions. Best Gates and Fencing does not rush their jobs. For my project, they work in phases, and it was great to see my fence project come to life, so to speak. In the end, I was extremely in awe of the transformation Best Gates and Fencing provided. I have received numerous compliments on the fence, and I feel like I have the best fence in the neighborhood. If you have a fence project or repair in mind, do not deviate away from Best Gates and Fencing. In my opinion, they are THE BEST!

The amount of care taken for this installation is very .appreciated. The final product is beautiful and functional. They put so much effort into this project, and it shows in the finished work. John recommended going with composite decking, and I'm so glad we listened. Our project included multiple sets of stairs, and they did a fantastic job bringing everything together. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were great. It's wonderful to find a team that takes this much pride in what they do and follows through with such a beautiful result. I've worked with many contractors, and John stands out for his honesty and integrity. He's a rare find--the kind of person you trust and want to work with again and again. He skips the heavy paperwork and works on trust instead. As a real estate entrepreneur, that was unusual to me, but it turned out faster and just as reliable since he backs it up. Where other deck builders I spoke to seemed shaky/flaky about my project, John was solution-oriented, brave, and responsive. That confidence is ultimately why I hired him. Abraham Sr and Jr, the builders, are true craftsmen. They work hard, move fast, and were always open to dialogue when something needed improvising on the spot. Hardscaping wasn't part of the project. They're upfront that it's not their focus, so I brought in a separate company for that piece, no issue at all. While this isn't the least expensive deck builder in San Diego, the quality and honesty are there. Where I did blow past my original budget, John flagged it ahead of time, so it was never a surprise. The end result exceeded my expectations, including the cable railing, which looks clean, modern, and beautifully finished. I'll be hiring John and his crew again for my next deck project without a second thought. And I'm 100% sure my neighbors are about to start knocking, asking who did the deck... ;-)
