I tried to schedule and get our car fixed at this location. Customer service is something that needs improvement. Repeated notifications to schedule the repairs, but each time the person called and cancelled or delayed the start for the repairs. Why? Because they are not on your side, they are rewarded by the insurance co. This comes at the expense of you (your busy work and personal schedules are not taken into account). All this so that they can save the insurance co a penny. We went in another direction - a repair shop that prioritized us. The one that ordered the parts in 2 days and began to work on the car within 48 hrs (vs. weeks here). read more

Service not as expected. I dropped my car off on 2/16/2026 for minor repair. Took them 9 days and still not completed. They told me to pick up my car at 5pm on 2/25/2026. When I went to pick up my car it's not ready and they asked me to sign paperwork to release insurance payment and told me the car is coming right up. I signed the paperwork and waited 30 minutes, the car is not ready for me to pickup. This is bate and switch tactic. I have not picked up my car still. now that they are closed and I left WITHOUT picking up my car. Very unprofessional. The next day, they called to apologize, delivered my vehicle and refunded my deposit. Because of this, I am changing to a 3 star. read more

Going in to the process was very difficult with the insurer (progressive), but once Caliber Collision was engaged, they took over the process and made it simple. My car was in for repair of the bumper and some cosmetic paint work since it was going in. From the start, Melissa was very helpful, communicative and knowledgeable about the process. I was provided with a clear quote/write up of the work to be done and the estimated date of completion. Given the number of cars in the lot and in the bay, 4 days was very reasonable. On pick-up I was assisted by another manager but the name of Ali, and he was also nice and made sure to go over the work that was completed and inspect the repair work with me. Their serivice estimation work is very unprofessional. Took a few pictures of my car damage and told me it is done and I can leave. My experience with other body shop is they will write up the estimate report in 10-15 minutes after reviewing the damages and walk through the estimate with the client. Got in accident, insurance sent me to Caliber for estimate. This company worked well with my insurance. The other driver was found 100% at fault, so I got my car restored to 'brand new' without paying my deductible. The final cost did increase (by almost one thousand dollars) because they needed to replace a trim piece. This may have been hard to swallow if I was paying out of pocket. To be fair, it was always clear that the estimate was just that, an estimate; cost could increase once vehicle is disassembled other problems could be discovered. Horrid customer intake process. I will never do business with someone that cannot explain their business process and then try to dismiss questions about why a certain process exists. I attempted to seek a quote to repair damage to a vehicle. I was very clear that the damage would be paid out-of-pocket. I own the vehicle and possess the title to the vehicle; the damage was not eligible for a insurance claim; yet the individuals performing intake insisted that the only adjusters available to review the damage represented insurance companies. The initial customer intake clerk was rude and spoke in a very condescending manner while taking my information about the vehicle. When I asked why a insurance company adjuster needed to be involved; she said that is what we do; when I asked why; she had no answer. By then, another intake clerk came to the front and took over for the first clerk. When I inquired again about the insurance adjuster; she started to ramble. One word about this place, SHADY! I have a 2014 Nissan Altima that was involved in a 10 - 12 mph collision, where the person in front of me slammed on their brakes when entering the intersection on a flashing red light. The original estimate was over $9000 for the repairs. This was fine with the insurance company who valued the car at over $15,000. Then caliber came back and said that the support beams for the frame needed to be replaced, which they don't have the equipment to do, so they were sending it out to a third-party. The estimate was over $4000. At this point Allstate was totaling out the vehicle. After disputing calibers findings, I had the car taken to D and S body shop, who was prepared to repair the frame rather than the expensive support beam replacement. When D and S measured the same points on the frame, they found no significant frame damage, and no need to even repair the frame. So did somebody at caliber see this as an opportunity to buy a pristine Nissan Altima with only 30,000 miles on it and falsely claim that it needed frame repair? Beware of this place. There is nothing honest about the way they handled my vehicle where their estimates. read more

I had a voicemail on a Tuesday from someone named Kathy or Cassie asking me to call her back or text her for an estimate. I called back the same day with no response. I called the next day, no response. I called and texted Thursday and no response. After no response on Friday I waited until Monday and called my insurance and requested a different body shop because I had not received a call back in 6 days. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Wow! I had my Catalytic Converter stolen from my car in Alameda. I have AAA and they sent my car here. I had it previously taken back in May and my car never sounded right after being fixed and when I went above 75mph it sounded weird (I know I was speeding). Anyways, it became stolen again the week of thanksgiving and Jackie (Jaqueline) helped me with no issues. They even restored my headlights because they were fogged up for free! Honestly, my car came back smelling so nice and it was washed up ready to go. Now, when I turn on my car it is so quiet again! I couldn't believe it how amazing it sounds after being fixed. 10/10 I would bring my car back here again because the place in Alameda charged me $3150 and they charged me roughly $2800. I was hit by a man who has farmers insurance, I was told to go to caliber San Ramon. I work until 5 I called them they said I could get my car looked at if I showed up before 5:30 got there met up with Jackie she took pictures of my car. I asked her questions of the damages she told me Farmers will more then likely not cover any of my damages and also took a picture of the inside of my car! I am guessing because it was messy because I just got back from a trip I guess to prove I don't take care of my car? I don't know why she take pics of the inside of my car has nothing to do with the damages. She told me my wrap would not be covered because it says in farmers policy that they won't cover wraps yeah if I was the insurie I could understand that but not as the person who got hit and had my property damaged by someone else. So then I was told I would get a quote today that it will probably be very cheap but don't be alarmed. I did not hear from anyone today emailed them and Nothing. I would definitely not use these guys if you are getting your vehicle fixed. The impression I got was that they are with the insurance company and like she said farmers is trying to save as much money as they can so the don't cover much. Even though the driver caused the damage. My father owned a body shop for several years and I wrote service for him and this is absolutely not true. The only people who acted like this is the adjusters for the insurance companies. And when I got there Jackie said she was a in house writer for farmers so I definitely will not be working with caliber. This is my car before and after so this car is very well taken care of she acted like I brought my Pinto in to get some free work done.....
