I recently got rear ended and had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the insurance money. Caliber gave me a bunch of great advice, were quick to get ahold of, and helped me on price WRT what the payout was going to be. Special shoutouts to Krystal and Cam who were both very friendly and helpful. They did a great job on the car - looks brand new. read more

Caliber Collision - Repaired bumper for 2017 Hyundai Ioniq - Body Shops Near Me - Palm Desert, California

This place VANDALIZED my $60,000.00 Mercedes benz that was only 5 months old. It came in for paint and glass wok only NO INTERIOR WORK. You can clearly see from the photos that there was paint overspray ON THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE! What appears to be glue on my brand new floorboards, they are replacing my steering wheel column, multiple interior trim pieces, exterior trim pieces, the list IS EVER GROWING. The b@$!@&d Enrique who is the GM had the audacity to tell me on a recorded phone call that it's common practice for pieces to be violated by the staff members upon install and frequently replace items. I told him thank you very much for verbally admitting to having caused the vandalism to the vehicle on a record call for use in court. My AAA advisor is helping me and even got the corporate office off Caliber involved but they dont seem interested in making this right. IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW HAS USED THIS CENTER AND HAD AN EXPERIENCE SIMILAR TO MINE PLEASE CONTACT ME AS I AM DRAFTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THIS PARTICULAR CALIBER COLLISION CENTER, FRANK THE OWNER AND EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER WHO TOUCHED MY CAR WHILE IT WAS IN THIER CARE AND YOU CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE LAWSUIT. read more

Long story short. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Chose this place because their work is "guaranteed" by USAA. Caliber FAILED to do a thorough examination of our vehicle after being rear ended while at a complete stop on the highway. They assumed our car was a "simple bumper fix" and we discovered an axel was slighlty bent after the car continued to pull hard to the right. Caliber got their money for an overpriced bumper but our car was far from fixed. Both Caliber & USAA were in cahoots not to fix the axel after it was missed, claiming the year of our car was a factor to make it "non accident related" We had no trouble with the axel prior to being hit. I RECOMMEND FINDING ANOTHER SPOT WITH BETTER SERVICE, PRICING & INTEGRITY. Try GERBER in the same city! read more

Third experience with Caliber Collision in Palm Desert. This time the experience was Just as great as the first two. Previous accident repairs on my '20 Mercedes GLE 350 were perfect. This time I had to get the triple beam headlight replaced on my '19 Lexus RX 350, at my expense. Saved an absolute ton of money over the price Schottenkirk Lexus quoted. Everyone at Caliber worked with me to get the work done at a price I could afford, much less than the just over $5,000 Schottenkirk Lexus quoted for the same headlight and labor to replace. Great manager! read more

I cannot say enough about Caliber great service Camron came out looked at my car i did not need all the work the other places in area wanted to charge me thousands.. honest people hard to find these days would totally recommend to anyone looking for quality honesty and genuine people this is your place ask for Camron !!! read more

My experience was wonderful! Front headlight burnt out on my Mercedes. I was told it was going to be a very laborious job. Taking the wheel off, removing the wheel well covers before being able to access the bulb. I had used Caliber in another state to repair my father-in-laws car. So I called the Palm Desert location. Enrique asked if I could bring the car in an hour. VERY QUICK SERVICE. He told me to turn my wheel to the right. Had the bulb in stock, FIXED IT IN LESS THAN 10M. I so appreciate the HONESTY AND INTEGRITY! Ladies I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

I recommend! I was a bit worried my car wouldn't look 100% the same again but it came out looking even better. Although it was a bit time consuming it was Forsure worth the wait! read more

Fender damaged; Excellent job done! 5 Star Job done expeditiously and cheerfully. Couldn't be happier.

Truck came out with dents that weren't there from the beginning and they refuse to repair them

I really loved working with this body shop. When I first came in, they seemed really busy but that's because they have so many clients that they are a bit overwhelmed. Despite this, they really do help out and pay attention to each customer's concerns. My accident was fairly minor but they went above and beyond and painted/fixed parts of my car that were not necessarily damaged. I have to personally thank my auto body estimator Frank for being such a cool guy & keeping my Honda Civic look clean. Pretty much looked like how it did when my dad & I first bought the car. Highly recommend for sure. read more

Frank was really helpful with helping deal with the insurance and calibor did a great job with the repairs on my car. I highly recommend them. The front desk is nice a clean and the girls are really nice and helpful. read more

I recommend staying away from this Caliber Collision location. The customer service reps are rude, condescending, and unhelpful. If you question any of their opinions, the rep will quickly tell you to "be quiet and listen to me". The reps will find multiple excuses to NOT give you an quote of the total repair cost before you sign the service agreement. The reps also like to recommend unnesscary repairs to artifically inflate the repair cost. There are multiple Caliber locations in the valley with very helpful and welcoming rep. Accidents are streeful events for all and you don't need the additional stress from dealing with the customer service reps at Caliber Collision Palm Desert. read more

Frank and his people went above 5 stars in order to get my Mercedes runnung again after I was side swipped. A proble came up because the wheel that was destroyed was no longer made by Mercedes. Frank spent many hours finding a replacement. With out his helpmy car would still be undriveable. The ldies in the office were very helpful when I got stressed out. I was kept informed daily on how work was progressing. Thanks Frank for going above & beyond to fix my car read more

Caliber came through big for me when replacing my windshield on my vehicle in a hurry, they were quick, responsive and professional with my estimate and pricing and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The entire staff from the front desk/customer service who greeted me and went over all my information to the technician who calibrated my sensors after replacement, all were friendly and professional. I hope I don't need to go back but if I ever need to I will be taking my vehicle here. Also they are very veteran friendly so thats a bonus. Thank you Caliber! read more

My car was hit from behind so my insurance give me a list of places to choose from so I chose this place and I'm glad I did. When I called to make an appointment, everything went smoothly to bring in my car. Paperwork was easy and to the point it took about two weeks for my car to be done. I got a call to pick it up went over everything that was done in detail and my car was back to normal like it was never in a car accident. read more

My car had a smash and grab and my insurance company suggested this company. After losing purses, credit cards and things of value this has been emotional for me not to mention the damage to my car with thousands of pieces of glass. From booking the appointment with Corrine and with the perfection of Hugo Salas I am beyond pleased with the company and their professionalism . Hugo was so friendly and upbeat and did an excellent job restoring my car and cleaning it up.(Yes and in 93 degree heat.) Again this is a great company and I would suggest them to anybody. read more

I was in an accident at the end of July where my vehicle was rear ended (damage was not too bad, could've have been a lot worse). So I called my insurance and scheduled to get a quote from multiple auto body shops. I ultimately went with Caliber because they had the quickest turn around time. I took my car in to Caliber Collision on August 8th since it was a AAA certified auto repair shop and because of an alleged faster turn around time and was told my vehicle would be ready Friday, August 26th. I called the day of to ask about a pickup time and was told it would be delayed another week or so because more damage was found with a rear floor panel. Not a problem. It is nearing towards two months since I dropped my vehicle off to them and it has been delayed a total of three times because the car had yet to be painted. Every week I called and was told my car was next in line for paint but it's been a month of this. I understand they're understaffed and such but how does it take this long to paint a vehicle that was only damaged on the rear end!? It would be a different if the entire car was damaged. I called today 9/26/2022 for yet another update and the receptionist said the car was still not painted and that they were still waiting for a part. For almost an entire month I was told the delay was the paint, not because of a part. Am I crazy to think that this information should have been something the customer should be aware of!? The only updates I would receive on my vehicles repairs would be because I would call the day the car was supposed to be ready just for them to say "it's still not painted, we need a couple more days." Caliber has offered to pay for a rental car only because I vented my frustration to them and to my AAA claims rep. That might have partially fixed the issue but I still have to pay for the rental cars daily insurance rate of $39 a day. I have almost spent about $400 of my own money on this because of their delays. Absolutely ridiculous! I asked to speak to the GM Steve to complain and explain the situation and he sounded completely uninterested or unbothered by the whole thing. I mentioned that Enterprise gave me the heads up that my rental was only setup until Monday the 26th (today) and that Caliber would have to call to extend. Just as a heads up for me as a common courtesy. He tells me once a receptionist gets back from lunch they would call enterprise to extend but gets defensive right after and says "I don't even know why Enterprise would tell you that when they know we are paying for it." It's called common courtesy and decent customer service to let your customers know these types of things Steve! I need my vehicle this week to go to an appointment for a sentry lane in Mexico and they require to have the vehicle there. This appointment took me over 3 months to get and if I don't get it on time, it might take atleast another 3 months to get another appointment. If I could go back, I would have taken my vehicle to a different auto body shop that actually communicated to the customer instead of trying to deflect the blame. If I am invoked in any other accident or need some work done, I now know where NOT to go! read more

Because of the damage to my vehicle by this shop, verified by the State Farm adjuster, I had to have corrective repairs totaling over $700.00 completed at another shop. Caliber only paid for a rental for less than half the time it took to repair the damage they caused, leaving me without a car for several days. Further, they claimed they repainted the hood, but in fact they did not. What a horrible experience. Response to caliber collision. No it wasn't just swirl marks, you didn't match the factory paint on the door and front of the car. I'm not just talking about the color, I'm talking about the factory texture. The orange peel finish from the factory. There was no match to the car, and from the driver door forward versus the passenger door backwards it looked like two different vehicles. And I gave you two days to correct the swirl marks that were so bad the entire front of the car looked like a tiger-two additional visits to your shop. The total time because of estimates and repair time that my car was in the shop after your shop was nine days. You paid for a rental car for four. read more

I got a small damage to my car. Just needs to replace fender and door. Insurance company took 70% liability and paid to me the money for repair. Caliber collision centre has a contract with this insurance company. They said, because they have a contract they can do price of repair lower. I exchanged insurance company and Caliber collision with all the information, contacts and claim number. And then Caliber collision starts to lie... First, they said they don't have any information about my case. I give it to them again. Then they start to lie the insurance company adjuster doesn't answer to them. I called to adjuster and he called them again and again, but they still lie nobody from insurance company is answering to them... All of this took a month!! And then the Caliber collision just called to me and said that they don't repair an electric vehicles! Unbelievable! Never use that trash service if you worry about your time! P.S. I sent my information to community manager... No answer after 2 weeks. ‍ Caliber collision service sucks. read more

I took my car to Caliber in Palm Desert after "Fix It" in Palm Springs (recommended by Honda) did a horrible job. All of the work on the trim, etc had started breaking and falling off!! Caliber inspected my vehicle and emailed me a quote by end of day. When I dropped my vehicle off, they gave me their rental car rate and I was told the repair would take at least a week due to getting the Honda parts. The vehicle was completed in 3 days, saving me rental car money expense and getting me back in my own vehicle. My car looks awesome. I recommend Caliber totally and if I ever have need for auto repair work, I will always go back to Caliber. read more

TWO THUMPS UP! My insurance communicated that I take my car to caliber collision for repairs and estimate. I had appointment for drop off and a ride home and upon entering, I was greeted by the receptionist and was told to have a seat while my car was inspected, in addition, she welcomed me to help myself with complimentary water and soda pops. When paper work was done, she told me I would be contacted and my ride was outside waiting for me in a truck. Upon exiting, Josh greeted me and opened my door. On the ride home, we talked about Coachella Valley, heat wave and thanked me for selecting caliber collision. The type of service I received today was similar of that of a 5-star resort. read more

Hi I was in a car accident where I live hour away. I was paying cash due to liability coverage only. Josh helped me with estimate due to cash pay. Caliber even helped me with rental. Had a minor parking lot 'incident.' We had been to Caliber Collision in Palm Desert once before and had a great experience so we drove there immediately to understand the extent of any damage. Frank, a service advisor, came right out, looked at the scratches, and said that if got it washed and brought it back, he'd see what he could with some buffing and touched up. We did and brought the car back a few hours later. Twenty minutes later, he drove the car out from a service bay. All the marks had 'buffed out'! As the ServPro slogan goes "like it never even happened." Needless to say, we were delighted. Well run place - attentive and service oriented. read more

Caliber Collision helped me so much last year, after I ran over the steal sign post on the Grapevine. I had to be towed into Burbank, and the next day, my car was towed to Caliber Collision in Palm Desert, where I live. They were very kind to me, fixing my auto, right away. This was before COVID-19, and there place was clean, nice, and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Fix my car! Excellent service, kind people, and I bet it is a great place to work. I was very impressed with the total care of my car. Thank you, Caliber Collision! read more

Horrible communication about everything out first estimate sat there for 1-2 weeks before they finally did anything then they have to wait on parts and we can pick it up and then drop it back off again . And then they were supposed to drop it off to my wife's office and take the rental car back and no call again about running late and she was sitting there waiting after work till she called to see what was going on definitely need to work on customer service a bit better at least communication read more

After my car was stolen, I got it back with some minor damage. My insurance company recommended this shop. I dropped the vehicle off on a Monday. A week later, I got the first text stating it should be ready by the end of that week on Friday. Midweek I got another text stating the same thing. On Friday, it was still showing completion for that afternoon after 4p. I drove all the way down there, went into the lobby, assuming my car was completed, due to the info I was sent, only to be told, your vehicle isn't done and your service tech isn't here either. The news was frustrating to say the least. The follow Monday, I didn't hear from anyone until afternoon when I got a voicemail stating they were waiting on more parts and it should be done the next day, Tuesday. Tuesday comes and no updates once again. It wasn't until Wednesday afternoon after 3p that I got another update that my car "should" be done that afternoon about 5p. I didn't bother to drive out there after the first time getting incorrect information. I finally got ahold of someone later and verified that my car was indeed done, but that was 10 minutes before they closed, so little to no chance of me getting there. I got there Thursday morning and finally got my car. Almost a week after it was "expected" to be done. Then to add to the frustration, the cashier double charged my $1000 deductible when cashing me out, so crossing my fingers that refund will get corrected. The body work on the vehicle good. The car looks good, it was dusty inside the vehicle, which would have been my basic assumption they would clean the vehicle before returning in, but that was only a minor inconvenience that the local car wash took care of for me. They really need to work on their communication skills at this business. You can have all the technology to communicate with your customers, but if its not updated, it's of little help. Between the service tech that couldn't follow up with me to the cashiers mistake at the end of all this, it's just one thing after another. read more

I was amazed by their efficiency and service. I certainly did not expect that. From the time I took the car in for evaluation to the time I collected my car, the service was superb.
