They aren't taking "non insurance appointments". Guess my money isn't green enough for them.

Indiscriminate and plain jane, this is your typical old school body shop. Nothing fancy, no lounge area, but plenty of skilled mechanics with service talent. I highly recommend the shop because they are trustworthy and do excellent work. I discovered them from another service provider who gave accolades for their body repair skills. While this is not their speciality, after picking up my car, we discovered some issues with factory codes. I can't thank Heath enough for troubleshooting the codes and his service on my car. The estimate was pretty spot on, albeit I did have another issue to address to make the repair complete. Pricing is reasonable for definitely the quality work and detail they do. The owner Steve is pretty knowledgeable with a no nonsense approach so you won't get a sales pitch or upselling. Hopefully no other haphazard occurences to frequent them but it's good to know they are around if ever needed. As they say, a broken car is like a broken heart, it takes time and patience to fix it. And you are no mechanic or body shop so bring it in to the guys at Chatfield Auto.

The quality just wasn't there--uneven finish, visible flaws, and overall not what I expected given the price. What made the situation even worse is that the reviews I relied on don't match what I experienced. After dealing with him, it really feels like some of the glowing reviews may not reflect genuine customer experiences, which is frustrating when you're trying to make an informed decision. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I wish someone had warned me. Save your money and go with a reputable, established shop instead.

I was quoted $700 for a dent repair, but once the job was finished, he told me he "would've charged…read more$1,000 for this kind of repair" and raised the price to $900. The pricing communication only came after the work was done, which felt unclear and frustrating. The repair quality was not what I expected: the wheel well body line is crooked, the dent area is wavy, and the paint doesn't match -- it looks matte, almost like there's no clear coat. When I pointed this out, he insisted it looked like the other side (it didn't) and told me I "couldn't expect perfection," which isn't acceptable for "professional" body work. To make things worse, when I picked up my car, the window had been left open during the repair and the interior was covered in toxic dust and debris, so l spent an hour cleaning it out so it was drivable. I paid $800 in cash, but overall the experience was disappointing. I wouldn't have problem paying the $800 if the repair looked acceptable. Now it's going to ultimately cost me more money to have my car repaired correctly. There are better, more reliable options out there with reviews that reflect the quality of work you can expect.

While examining my vehicle the estimator Paul allowed the hood to free-fall onto the safety catch, which was still in an up position, likely because it was not functioning correctly due to the front end damage. I saw this as it happened, but not quickly enough to prevent it. We opened the hood again to find the frame of the safety catch now pushed down inside the surrounding platform. Paul immediately apologized and said, 'that's on me.' He tried to return the safety latch back to its original position but failed. He then asked for the keys and drove the vehicle inside their shop to repair the catch. He returned with the latch held in place by duct tape surrounding the frame of the catch (you can see this in the photo attached to this review). He assured me they would 'take care' of this when I brought the vehicle back for repair of the front end damage. Upon receiving their repair estimate via email later that day I noticed it included a line item for $96.47 for the safety catch. The line item showed labor was 'included.' At this point I decided it may be better to take the vehicle to a certified Volvo repair center because the estimate from Quality One indicated they were not qualified to re calibrate the front end camera. I returned to Quality One later that same day to ask for compensation for the broken safety catch. Paul seemed willing to compensate me for the damaged catch, but then the owner PJ was called in. PJ basically said as far as he was concerned the safety catch was already broken and I should just have insurance cover that cost as part of the overall repair. I tried to reason with him, but he wouldn't budge. This has been very upsetting for me, as Paul clearly admitted to breaking the frame of the safety catch. At this point there is nothing I can do but post this review as a warning to others who are considering using Quality One Dent for their repairs.

All Danielle the Business Manager has done is confirm exactly what I said. They didn't fix my car…read moreright and it was extremely difficult and exhausting to get Quality One Dent to admit their mistake and fix it. Exhaustingly and after much dialogue they made a second attempt to re-install the same exact bumper. Interestingly, after their second attempt it aligned better - so it was poor quality the first time! It was the exact same bumper and it was never replaced with an OEM bumper so why couldn't they admit it was shoddy workmanship and as Danielle stated "take great pride in their work and commitment to customer satisfaction" - and fix it correctly. Ultimately, they could improve the result - they just didn't want to! Look at the attached pictures (and also my previously supplied pictures) and you be the judge. These were MY photos - not Quality One's photos. After two attempts, with the SAME exact bumper, ironically, they were able to realign better. Because of Quality One Dent's refusal to accept that the first install was terrible, BOTH sides were difficult - including Quality One Dent. After holding onto our car for many, many weeks, and when it was apparent they had to make a second attempt to install correctly, now all of a sudden Quality One Dent had no room for my vehicle at their lot. They had no problem with the multiple weeks they sat on it at their lot (when they said they would only need it one week) but now because they're angry and unwilling to work with their customer, they wanted us to take it home with the initial bad install and shoddy workmanship and bring it back later. Ridiculous and very transparent their intentions. Incredibly unprofessional.

GREAT PEOPLE TO WORK WITH…read more Believe it or not, Dan and his team didn't even end up doing work on my car because they knew it wasn't best for me. Here's what happened. My wife and I were driving across the country from California to Ohio and we blew out what we thought was the radiator at the time while heading into Denver. My car ended up at Fix Auto about an hour after closing time and Dan was still there. Rather than pushing us off to the next day he was extremely helpful. He offered my wife, who is 7 months pregnant, ware and soda and a place to sit while he spent time looking at the car with me and discussing the issues. He took pictures and looked at the car and got it into the shop on a lift that night. First thing the next morning he called to give me an update. They discovered it was actually the water pump and he spent the rest of the morning doing research on cost of getting it done and timetable. I am heading to Ohio to be the best man in a wedding and had to have the car ASAP. Dan went above and beyond to find out that many other people with my car had the same issue and it would be covered by warranty at a dealership nearby. Dan helped us get the car there via tow truck and helped get me set up with the part I needed. When my car arrived at the shop I noticed Dan and his guys had cleaned the engine surfaces and had removed all of the bugs that had implanted in the front of my car from 14+ hours of driving. Dan was awesome and helpful and I would send any and all friends and family there. A+++++
