What a seamless process! Cory and the team repaired my Mercedes after being impacted by a hit and run causing damaging the whole drivers side of my car. They communicated with me regularly through the process and did an amazing job. Upon pickup, they walked me through all the work they had done and made what should have been a stressful process very smooth. That is important when you're already dealing with a collision. there is honestly too much to say in one review - as I am so happy with the service I received From Caliber Collision. I was in tears when I first arrived with my car in tow - had the accident just that morning. Lovelle at the front desk was so sweet and caring. She handled everything with my insurance along with Jam. My car repair was initially going to be over a month due to the extensive damage - which went beyond what the eye could see ... Randall - my service coordinator extraordinaire - WOW! He was the absolute best. Kept my husband and I up to date every Tuesday and was just amazing. Really he went above and beyond and I am so thankful. They really have such an awesome way of doing business at this Auto body repair. So thankful for Mercedes of Newport Beach for the referral- as I could not have gone anywhere else and had this result. The car looks absolutely brand new ! Thank you to everyone at Caliber - you all Rock ! read more

I can't say enough good things about Caliber Collision at their Costa Mesa location. Estimates from other repair locations were much higher and the repair time significantly longer. I was able to check my car in with Baldomero Lopez in a few minutes and had a drop off scheduled within two days. I received a bi weekly progress report and my car was finished in one week to perfection. Big thank you to Baldomero and the front office at caliber collision. They were polite efficient and really made a stressful situation less stressful. I highly recommend caliber collision in Costa Mesa. read more

Dropped off our MBZ and got Randel to estimate a small damage. Even though it was small, a lot of insurance approval and labor with the parts is more than a week. Randal executed the one week plan! It would have been two weeks because of the ins. approval and parts delayed. Eli the auto body tech prepared and installed multiple parts in time to return the car rental that we unfortunately paid out of pocket for. We now know to click and choose the car rental ins. coverage. Update too your deductible according to your current finances. THIS Caliber Collision shop rocks on 18th st in Costa Mesa with Randel and Eli !! read more

Caliber Collision - Body Shops Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

EXCEPTIONAL first class service, people and results!! Certainly no one wants to deal with collision repair because of the time, money and inconvenience it causes. The whole experience is uncomfortable and inconvenient. Caliber is none of that! What I experienced was a warm welcome from Sacha once I arrived and then listening to her on the phone with her professionalism was impressive. I felt comfortable right away. Then I met Kevin my service advisor and in my opinion he was dropped from heaven as so many things had been thrown at me lately. I felt the blow to my car really topped things off and I needed someone like him to assist me as this was all coming out of my pocket. Kevin was an incredible listener, very courteous and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable, had some great suggestions, he was excellent in his explanation and approach and made me feel 100% comfortable in my decision to have Caliber do the work. I had gone to a few other places for estimates and Kevin stood out as the person I trusted most. It took a few days for work to be complete and along the way I met George who also works at Caliber as they provide transportation. He gave a ride home and back again to pick up my car. He was an awesome person, super nice and I appreciated his kindness very much. The car repairs were absolutely beautiful and the quality looked better than when I brought it in. I was so thrilled! Kevin was even able to cut the cost some for me as well. The entire experience was beyond my expectations! Kevin was exactly the person for me as his outstanding service made everything beyond seamless. I thank you Kevin so much for everything. The client services, the outstanding people and the quality is top notch! Trust me, this is the one and only premier Mercedes Benz collision shop and to go elsewhere would be a mistake. read more

I dropped my truck off for repair with Caliber in Costa Mesa. The GM, Tizoc Ortiz, personally gave me a ride back to the Ford dealership. Usually you don't get the boss doing the drop offs...impressive. So far everything about Tizoc and his team is impressive...and I just dropped off my F150 a few days ago. A really nice touch was an email from Tizoc with pictures and a "progress report" on my truck. Now I know why I had to wait a bit to get in to see these professionals! I'll post my final rating upon pickup, but so far, so good! read more

My Mercedes Dealership referred me to Caliber Collision after I've had an accident with my Mercedes C-300 and I couldn't be happier with their level of service and quality of work! I've worked with George & Jim and am very grateful for all their hard work and support through the process. They are wonderful people! Their service is A+. They delivered an excellent detailed job on my car and disclosed all the information I needed to know. They were very prompt & courteous in answering all of my inquiries on the phone giving me peace of mind. They kept me updated on any progress and were on time with their commitment. That was after my accident last year. I had to go back again to this shop today for an additional job and for the second time I received the same quality of service -- accurate, very professional and kind. They truly deserve a 5 start rating! A BIG thanks to you guys! read more

First off this is the cleanest body repair shop I've ever seen in my life. My advisor Trever was excellent!!!! I can't say enough good things, he took us in even without an appointment and treated us like family. He quickly got me an estimate that we agreed to, and he kept me updated the entire time. The car was completed much sooner than I was anticipating and at completion he had it delivered to a local dealer so that I could have some service work done as well. Trever made this process painless and super simple. I appreciate your attention to detail. If I ever need repair work again, I know exactly where to go and I will definitely be asking for Trever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have taken my car to caliber before through my insurance. No matter what insurance I've had cause I never had any issues. I got into an accident back in Feb. I believe it was around feb 28th. I did the whole process of calling my insurance etc. My car gets towed a week later to them. Not their fault but my insurance. It got there 7th of March. The insurance went back and forth and wanted a full breakdown of the extend of the damage. Of course again this delay was the insurance. After going back-and-forth, my insurance around the 20th of march my insurance, declare that they would go ahead and repair the vehicle instead of claiming at a total loss. That was finally fixed. It was time for caliber collision to do its job and fix the vehicle. A week later I'm getting a call from caliber saying that they had to transfer my vehicle to another repair shop because they no longer except foreign vehicles at that location. OK great told him that's fine I understand things happen. Caliber will send you an email where you can access a link to be able to tell you when the vehicle will be done. It was stated on the link that the vehicle will be done 22 May. I did think that was a little bit too far out and wasn't really happy about it but I couldn't do much about it. So I patiently waited for my vehicle to be done. A few days before my vehicle was supposed to be done I contacted caliber asked him what's the status of my vehicle. They then went on to proceed to tell me that they had lost parts and to re-order them. I clearly wasn't the happiest hearing that and ask them how much longer it would take. I was told it would take two more weeks. Two week pass by and nothing yet again. At this point I was beyond mad, and I kept trying to contact Bob, who was my service provider that was helping me. He kept avoiding my calls and I wasn't getting a response back. Had my husband called in and see what was going on and they just gave him the runaround. My husband was finally able to get through to him and again the same excuse parts got lost, new management and it's out of his control. Mind you this has been at least 3 months now. I finally go into the office. I'm telling him how frustrated I am and how I'm having to come out of pocket for rentals. My insurance only pays out so much for the rentals and they're not gonna help me out with that. He finally said that they would take off 500 and that it would be done in a week. This was like the middle of June and I expressed that they should be providing me a rental, or at least waiving the deductible for me. Finally, I get my vehicle back. I believe the first week of July. I get the vehicle back it's making a weird noise. Like, if the plastic at the bottom was broken and being dragged. More like a metal on metal rubbing together. And my car was jolting every time I was switching gears. I took it back and they try to say that it was like that before the accident and that I need to take it to a repair shop and see if that issue is happening because of the accident. So I was basically told to go take it somewhere and pay for a break down and bring it back to them. Which doesn't make sense to me because why would I have to bring my card to another repair shop and pay for the breakdown. My husband came in with me and of course wasn't the nicest person about it after four months. Bob's thing was, he said he ran the computer through to the vehicle and said nothing is coming up, so nothing he can do. I right away contacted my insurance. Let them know what's going on. I let them know that yes I did have a jolting problem prior to the accident but I did take it to the repair shop in actually got it fixed. Have the paperwork for it and all. Finally after going through my insurance. They contacted me and said that they fix the problems to come pick up my vehicle. Everything was finally running smooth no issues. But I definitely wouldn't recommend bringing your vehicle here. Keep in mind too. They sent an estimated repair break down to my insurance of 18,000. I'm now getting contacted by my insurance saying that they are charging over $20,000 of worth of repairs. Which I find odd because there's a reason why we do a full breakdown and send to the insurance. Never again going thru them. And make sure your insurance isn't paying them. Once they get there money it's like on there time and don't care if the person is without a car. read more

Wish I was experiencing the same as these positive reviews. I can't even get a call with an update unless I chase my advisor down. I'm staring at $6,000 in repairs so far and two days in and my car still has to be disassembled to even get started. Concerned with the delays in ordering parts now if it's been sitting around for 2 days. They have zero concern in keeping me informed and giving me time frames considering I had to rent a car and have no clue for how long. Regretting making a hasty decision to go with The referral from fletcher jones. Hasn't been a pleasant experience so far. Hoping it turns a corner soon.
