Alright I have to say Chris was fantastic when he worked on my Bimmer, gave me a heads up on some cost before I even came in when I set the appointment online. He also set up some great recommendations when we found out the prior shop I dealt with messed up my hubs, even going as far to try to deal with that shop to provide evidence of how poor of a job they did. Can't say enough of how direct, respectable and generally on top of it he was. Got my car in and out within 24 hours, redoing the suspension, hubs and other rid bitties. Even sharing a good amount of recommendations and photos for areas to watch out for. So I decided to bring in my parents car the following week, a giant Toyota sequoia that had a bit of a squeak..... that wasn't a great experience as we worked with Jerry? Jimmy? He never called before hand, forgot both times that I requested shuttle service, and just generally seemed like he couldn't set expectations..... but I gave it a go.... $400 smaller to change a belt..... part of it was a diagnostic fee when I told them the problem. Was definitely way too much and this time he kept asking for more time... to simply change a belt? Look not to knock him too much because it is a busy location. I'll give the benefit of the doubt but I highly advise to get a general expectation of the cost before bringing it in. And ask for Chris, he'll be the best one to work with in my opinion onions. Shop is very clean and hey, they got a Starbucky coffee machine for their customer. So overall still will wander in to bug them again when I can't solve my own issues..... or I'm a bit to lazy to do it.......hey don't judge me! But I will stick with Chris from now on. The shop replaced my radiator and just about anything associated with the cooling system, hoses, belts, pulleys, and all car fluids except oil. Rudy was helping and spotted an over charge for a part that was billed twice. The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is that I had to point out the tire rotation I paid for was not performed the old worn tires were still in the front. This was rectified the next day but it still gives one pause. I can't argue with the results my gas mileage jumped up by two afterward. read more

I called regarding a state inspection for my vehicle. Was told to come on over by Rudy. I gave a specific time that I would arrive. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I was told the authorized state inspector had just clocked out for lunch, but I could wait an hour and a half for him to return!!!! All Rudy had to say on my initial phone call was come at 3 pm. If they cannot even provide proper information on an initial phone conversation, I hate to think what their service would be like!!!! I sat in the car and called Jiffy Lube in Alamo Ranch area on Culebra who said come on over. I went over, and within 20 minutes I was on my way. No trust in Caliber Auto care -- don't even bother -- head to Jiffy Lube instead. read more

So first of all this is the only place I go for several reasons, 1. Customer service is exceptional 2. Easy to get to location 3. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN 4. Amazing coffee selection 5. They have a kids play area ( anyone who has kids and tried to get an oil change know what's up) 6. I think they use essential oils because it smells really good for being an auto shop 7. Caliber is really great at communicating what they think is wrong with your car. But I don't trust the work they did. They recommended various repairs and we selected a valve cover change and replace two ignition coils. The total ended up being about $1100. My dad checked their work after my car was returned to me and we can't see a reason why brand new ignition coils would need to have numbers filed off. Unless... they aren't new? Maybe they just cleaned the old ones and put them back. I can't prove it, but I'm not going back. read more

Terrible I had a oil leak and work out of town, so had my mom take my truck up there and they charged $3,000 to fix issues they said needed fixing without confirmation and my oil life shows 54% life but I'm currently getting alerts to add oil on my dash and my check engine light is on again after the unnecessary fixes. Went back up there to discuss the issues and one of the advisers who works there was listening and didn't want to comment after I asked him what I thought because he knows I was scammed. read more

Rudy and the team are extremely professional, courteous, and what I appreciate most is their customer service skills. They're not pushy to upsell you on anything. Our truck broken down & was towed to Caliber. It took weeks to get it repaired due to parts not in stock in San Antonio that took 2-3 days to arrive. There were several electrical issues that they repaired & all the repairs were covered by our warranty. This is my go to place to get my GMC, my Range Rover and our 2020 Dodge Ram serviced. They have expertise and knowledge on a multitude of car, trucks and Suvs. Recently Caliber replaced my truck brake pads from the factory to wegner quiet stop for towing. My GMC Elevation stops better, ultra quiet ride. The GM OEM ceramic were noisy and moaned every morning. The GM dealer said all was good.Funny that they always said that. Brandon was my service adviser and he is an expert and very professional. He is a people person who knows about cars and customer service. The guys under the hood always clean up after themselves and I don't have an spare tools or parts like from the dealer. They can also drop you off close by if needed. Loved the service and staff this morning. The online site wasn't able to set up appt for today and called first thing this morning to get appt. Mr. Brandon Ferguson was helpful during the call and place me in a 0800 slot for our truck to get done. He assured it would be no problem. I arrived and they were quick to get to the truck. Mr. Ferguson recommend their brand of oil but I chose the recommended regular brand...which he wasn't pushy at all. Once done a text message of photos and information came to me all about the service which was unexpected and nice! I sat for a few minutes to confirm with my husband about the tire rotation and getting that done as well. The staff were able to get that done in only a matter of mins. Overall, I waited less than a hour for everything to be done. In addition, Mr. Ferguson took care of us by applying a coupon and lowering our bill. I greatly appreciate the fast and professional service. Thank you team!!! Also, another benefit was having the comfortable seating lounge for access to WiFi and working during the time of the appointment. Coffee was available as well but I didn't get any and came prepared. Other customers came in and new staff by name which held a lot of value to me personally as this shows they hold a good reputation with customers. Zero stars. I called to see if I could bring my car in for the inspection. They said sure as long as you get here before 5:30 we can get that done for you. I arrived at 5:10 and was told that the person that does inspections left at 5:00 so they couldn't do it. This is a shitty way to do business. There is no accountability anymore for anyone. Customer service is no more. No one wants to work and do their jobs right anymore. This on top of me calling earlier in the day and being told they couldn't do it because it was raining. And trying to get it done the day before and being told that they couldn't do it because the DPS system was done. read more

Let me start by saying I have been a fan of the company formally known as Service First but they have now exceeded all expectations of what customer service should be. I was in a tough spot when I got a flat tire at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday afternoon and of course when I was going to drive to Maryland Saturday morning. I tried changing my tire by myself and go figure, I bent my factory lug wrench. I called and they were very willing to help and sent as technician out to my house to assist. Minutes later, Carlos arrived and he was super helpful. He had his own impact wrench and other tools to take the tire off. He then loaded my truck tire in to his car and went back to the shop and patch it. When I went to pay for the service, I was told that I couldn't pay for it as this was their community service and part of their brand. So, with that being said, "IF" you chose to go anywhere else for your automotive service needs, then shame on you for not giving the team here a chance. You get more for what you pay for here. Thank you to you and especially to Carlos who went out of his way to be my saving grace. Called this place ahead of time to receive a break replacement estimate. They wouldn't give me one as they wanted to look at the car first. Took it in the following day and they inspected my breaks only to inform me that they were perfectly fine. They could have easily told me something else and were completely honest with me. Since I was there , ended up getting an oil change along with some other items. Everyone I had an interaction with was friendly. Place is super clean and quiet. They have free water and Starbucks coffee for customers. Prices are reasonable and did not wait long to get serviced. Will be coming back! read more

Normally I would give a very high review because we've had great experiences here in the past sadly this time it was a bit off. My husband took my car up there for a replacement tire and an oil change. I had called prior to have the tire ordered, they called to confirm they received the tire, I told them he would be in the following morning at 8am. My husband arrived at 8:01 and they took the truck right away. Sadly it took 4 hours to get the single tire and oil changed. They were properly staffed but the technicians were moving at a glacial pace. The manager came out and apologized profusely but it didn't expedite the process. Everything else about the experience was great, from talking to the clerk over the phone to get my tired ordered, there follow up over the phone, and getting all my sensors reset to ensure we were good to go. Sadly though 4 hours was just very excessive when we were the first one there that day for a single tire change and an oil change. It's not the first time we've been there as I've had the worst luck with tires in San Antonio, in the past it's only taken an hour. read more

I thought I was going to Potranco location but Google Maps led me to this location and I am glad it did. I dropped it off, walked inside and man this is a nice place with air conditioning, fridge full of water and coffee made on the spot for you. There is a recharging counter for electronics and a big screen TV while you wait. I got an oil change and new rear brakes installed at at a fair price and I was out of there when I needed to be. They offered me a ride home, but I had pick up my daughter from camp at a certain time. While I waited I was able to walk across the street and do some grocery shopping, so I knocked out two birds with one stone. I will go back to get some other work done next month. read more

I brought my car in last week for an exhaust system replacement the gentleman in the work in the time and effort they put in over four hours diligently, trying to see if this muffler that I had purchased would fit they were unable to complete the job so they put the old muffler back on They did not charge me Penny one and they had that car up on the lift for about four hours because the exhaust was difficult to remove and thank goodness they didn't cut it before they removed it. I called before arriving and the phone was picked up on the first ring. The gentleman on the phone (Mike) was friendly and answered all the questions I had. I came in at 130 for an inspection. Immediately pulling up I was greeted by multiple associates. They quickly got me into a bay and started my inspection. I was escorted to a waiting room and offered a coffee or water. All of the staff is attentive and friendly. The waiting room is very well decorated very modern and warm feeling. The arm chairs in the waiting room comfortable. These folks are the best. We take our vehicles there for everything. My A/C started to give out last week. I was able to get it in this morning and they gave me a ride back home. They quickly diagnosed the issue, got the part and repaired it within a few hours. They called me to ask if I needed a ride back to pick up my car (fantastic service!).
