He was responsive asking me for basic information for the initial quote, everything sounded great, from the mobile repair to price that I went ahead and canceled a prior appointment with another competitor to book a Saturday appointment with them. I confirmed appointment Friday, making sure we were still good for my Saturday appointment from noon-2pm. I again reached out Saturday to confirm they were still coming from noon-2pm. Abraham asked me for a picture of the window, then proceeds to give me a new quote of $400 from. The initial $290 quote! I had already alloted the $290 for the repair. I asked them to make things right and they agreed to charge $300 for the repair. I was fine with paying the extra $10 because I needed the repair done ASAP. He said someone would be at my place by 2pm to repair. I called at 2pm and spoke to the dad (didn't catch his name) and asked him where they were at since I had to cancel all my Saturday morning and afternoon plans to wait for them to come repair the window. He proceeded to tell me that the glass warehouse closed at noon and he wouldn't be able to anything until MONDAY! Mind you, Abraham had quoted this since Thursday! I told him they already knew they were supposed to do this repair and I was pretty upset because first they wanted to change the cost of the repair and now I would have to go all weekend without a window. Had I not reached out, I am certain they were not planning on reaching out to me to let me know they wouldn't be able to repair it. He proceeded to tell me it was a "mistake" on their part. NO, A MISTAKE IS COMING WITH THE WRONG GLASS OR NOT BEING ABLE TO BE THERE BY 2PM AND COMMUNICATING TO LET US KNOW THEY WOULD BE LATE. THESE PEOPLE WERE NOT PLANNING ON REPAIRING MY WINDOW AT ALL ON SATURDAY! When I informed the man I was upset and this was unacceptable, he said he didn't care because he didn't let people tell him how to run his business. I immediately hung up and called FAST FREDDIE'S in Fontana, I called them at 2pm and had a technician and window installed by 3:30pm! I wasted my entire Saturday morning and afternoon waiting on Five Star to repair my window. Pleaseeeeeee save yourself the hassle and headache of going with FIVE STAR and call FAST FREDDIE'S in Fontana, you will get a correct initial quote and fast and reliable service!

Against my better judgment, I followed a dirt hauler on the freeway, mostly because my exit was…read moregetting closer. Silly me. Within moments of my decision to remain in the slow lane, a rock flew into the bottom left hand corner of my windshield, leaving a crack the size of a nickel. I called Safelite from the road and set up an appointment for the following Monday (many time slots were available!). I signed up for reminders. Safelite sent me a reminder and a video to watch in preparation for the appointment. Safelite likes you to show up at least 10 minutes early. I showed up 15 minutes early and they took my car right away. The reminder told me that it might take 45 minutes, but the clerk said it would take about 30. The restrooms are a little dingy and there's no paper towels in the one I used, but the waiting room has coffee, free WIFI, and many chairs to sit in. This Safelite location does not take Apple Pay. As soon as my car was finished, the technician drove my car to the front and handed me my keys and my receipt.

I drove almost an hour to the nearest location only to be told when I arrived that they had JUST submitted the OEM request the same day as my appointment. Complete waste of my time and gas. When I asked them to check who called me and confirmed everything beforehand, the employee behind the counter pretended to look into it and then said, "I'm not sure who called you." No accountability, no professionalism, and clearly no communication within their own company. Avoid this location at all costs. They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you in the door, even if nothing is actually ready.

We were ok with the price quoted then offended to find out the price quoted was a three installment price making it 3X the original price we had seen. We started looking around and found Option Auto Glass. All contact was quick and his price was more than half the price quoted by the large advertiser. His price included home install at no additional cost and Francisco was very friendly and efficient. Another bonus was that I have a transponder for the 91 expressway and he replaced the Velcro strips and attached the transponder to the new windshield. I have had many windshields replaced over the years because I traveled a lot in my working days. This is the first time that someone was thoughtful enough to replace the Velcro strips. I can't say enough good things about this company. I waited to write my review until I had a chance to run the car through the car wash. The seal on the window is solid.
