Against my better judgment, I followed a dirt hauler on the freeway, mostly because my exit was getting closer. Silly me. Within moments of my decision to remain in the slow lane, a rock flew into the bottom left hand corner of my windshield, leaving a crack the size of a nickel. I called Safelite from the road and set up an appointment for the following Monday (many time slots were available!). I signed up for reminders. Safelite sent me a reminder and a video to watch in preparation for the appointment. Safelite likes you to show up at least 10 minutes early. I showed up 15 minutes early and they took my car right away. The reminder told me that it might take 45 minutes, but the clerk said it would take about 30. The restrooms are a little dingy and there's no paper towels in the one I used, but the waiting room has coffee, free WIFI, and many chairs to sit in. This Safelite location does not take Apple Pay. Absolutely terrible experience with Safelite. I scheduled an appointment for an OEM windshield replacement and was specifically assured ahead of time that everything had already been submitted and approved before my appointment. I drove almost an hour to the nearest location only to be told when I arrived that they had JUST submitted the OEM request the same day as my appointment. Complete waste of my time and gas. When I asked them to check who called me and confirmed everything beforehand, the employee behind the counter pretended to look into it and then said, "I'm not sure who called you." No accountability, no professionalism, and clearly no communication within their own company. Avoid this location at all costs. They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you in the door, even if nothing is actually ready. read more

Wow what and amazing set of gentlemen! Renae and Paul were extremely helpful and respectful! Totally professional. They were also great at communicating with me throughout the whole process. My car is old 1983, so it was not an easy job. Yet the did any amazing job! They took tremendous car and respect for my vehicle from what I see it came out well and professionally. They did communicate with me that the original chrome trim would not be able to go back on do to aftermarket parts and and old wavy trim. But they made it work and left it really nice! I made arrangements to ensure that the vehicle was here for the technician to complete the work. 1115 rolls around and no one showed up. I called Safelite corporate and they reach out to the shop directly. I am then told that the correct windshield was not in stock. Got a chip on my windshield, due to recent rain and the subsequent pot holes on the freeway's. I called my Insurance company, Mercury and they set me up with an appointment with All Star glass. They could not fit me in till following week and they would charge me $99? I was worried the chip might spread and I would have to get a new windshield. So I called Safelite and got an appointment in 2 days. I was really impressed with the professional way they operate, very clean establishment and fresh Coffee. My tech Jesus, was amazing and he only took 20 minutes to fix the chip. They only charged me $50 cheaper than Allstar Glass. I spent 5 hours at this location. I was told that you get what you pay for .... There were several things that went wrong & several items that need to be replaced. Molding not put in correctly, several clips broken... so the only good thing is the warranty. The entire windshield needs to be replaced. This makes my 4th visit to safelite .... I must say this was my first experience with this company. USAA has them as the go-to in repairing windshield damages and repairs. Background on why we went here to repair our windshield. Wifey was driving alon 210 west just past Sierra Ave when a treaded tire debris was kicked up and hit the windshield. Luckily, she service this trauma and was able to contact me on the incident. Fast forward after my call to USAA, and I was able to get the care in to repair and replace the windshield. Considering the enormous cost to replace a Porsche windshield, I was surprised by the fact that they were able to get it done and only my deductible of $500. Without this coverage, it would have cost $2,175 for the windshield and another $1,200 to program the camera and sensors in the windshield. This was not a good experience at all. I had a technician come out and tell me that he had the wrong piece for my car. I took the day off and had to come in at 8 AM sharp the next day, which I did. I came in, paid eighty dollars cash and he said he would make a note of me paying cash. He didn't leave a note for the technicians and the person in charge of the charging, had charged me the full 129.00 instead of the 49.00, and he wouldn't give me my eighty dollars back, he then argued with me about how my money would be returned to my bank instantly-- which it was not and I tried to explain to him that when you charge a card, it takes 1-3 business days, called my bank and they confirmed this. So now, I have zero dollars to my name, thanks Safelite! For someone who had no follow through, refused to help me, and left me broke. Shopped around a bit to get pricing from "mobile guys" to even my Mercedes mechanic shop but after visiting this Safelite shop it just felt right. I got a since that their technicians had the knowledge and the tools at hand to over come any issue that might pop up and I was right. After making a appointment giving them time to order the replacement widow I came back. Professional job and not that long of a wait time in fact I found it fascinating being able to watch the technician do the job. After the job the technician Aris drove the car to the front of the shop to greet and meet me and to answer any question that I might have. I feel I was very well treated in a professional manner. I couldn't reach anyone by phone so I had to just show up so I could report my issues. My passenger door was working properly prior to taking my vehicle in for a windshield replacement now I have to take it to the dealer to be repaired. I have white interior and no seat covers were used so my seats were dirty and handprints were left on my console and dashboard. Broken glass was also left on my dashboard. Amazing service. I went in early and brought some work with me, thinking I'd have a few hours to kill in the lobby. When I dropped it off, they said it would be all day since teslas have calibration to do and whatnot--I'm not an expert but it sounded like more work than I anticipated. I told them I had no ride so I'd be hanging around...Anyhow--I did some work at a diner nearby, took a walk around Redlands to burn off the huge omelet I ate and they called me before noon. I'm writing this as a fair warning to anyone who has seen the ads for "Nationwide Lifetime Warranty" and "We'll fix it right - guaranteed." I recently had the Redlands location replace the glass on my 2008 FJ Cruiser after discovering a crack. This is an older vehicle we've been restoring over the past five years since buying it used--rebuilt front end, replaced electrical systems, the works. Never once had an issue with the roof leaking. That is, until a couple of weeks ago when Safelite replaced the glass. Now, even with the lightest rain, the headliner is soaked--completely drenched across the entire ceiling. Water's dripping onto my dash and even pooling on the floor. I took the FJ back to Redlands to have it checked under their so-called "Lifetime Warranty." After their "testing," they claimed there's no issue with their installation. Instead, they blamed my factory roof rack and aftermarket light bar bolts for the leaks. Here's my question: why would this start happening immediately after their install when it was never a problem before? Interestingly, after our recent rain, the staff admitted they've had multiple leak complaints lately--all dismissed as unrelated to their work, conveniently blamed on "sunroofs." One employee even called their quality engineer, who inspects warranty claims, an "@sshole" and said "good luck" getting Safelite to fix anything they might've caused. So, to all you customers lured by a big brand and a "Nationwide Lifetime Warranty"--beware. The Redlands crew isn't what they advertise. read more

The manager - Paul I believe was his name, is completely worthless as are his employees. Do not go here unless you want your vehicle damaged in the process of replacing your windshield and then they refuse to cover the damages to your vehicle. They caused nearly $1k in damage to my vehicle and said that for anything attached to the windshield they are not responsible, so it's either vandalism or it's incompetence. They cut my dashcam power cord and damaged my A-Pillar plastic panel around the windshield. Find another glass repair location because they will cause more problems than they have solutions. I did call customer service and they said that they believed that the store was responsible until a week later when the rep refused to return my calls. USAA would not reimburse me either and wanted me to file another claim- so military members beware! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT MORE PROBLEMS AND TIME WASTED! GOOD LUCK! read more

If I could leave less than one star, I honestly would. My experience here at Safelite has been horrible from beginning to end. I brought my vehicle to get my windshield replaced several months ago just for the technician to bring out my vehicle that had a chip with a giant crack. Instead of having to pay no deductible, I was then told that I Would have to pay $500 which is my deductible to get my windshield completely replaced. After several months, I ended bringing my vehicle in to get the windshield replaced completely. I drive a Tesla and I was asked to pick up my vehicle after the initial drop off because it didn't have enough charge (I was never told that there would need to be any specific amount of charge to drop off the vehicle to begin with). After doing so, my vehicle was with the Redlands location for several hours, and I received a call at 7 PM letting me know that the windshield was replaced, but they were unable to calibrate it which made the vehicle unsafe to drive. Since this was a Saturday appointment they would not be able to assist me again until Monday. I was then forced to take the vehicle back again the following week to recalibrate it. I have tried to reach out to the manager, Paul several times without any success. I have requested calls and even went in in person without any assistance from anyone. I would highly recommend going anywhere else, but this location if you don't want your windshield cracked and horrible customer service. read more

I tried to file a warranty claim on this damage to my windshield that I noticed the day after the technician replaced my front window. The assessor came and told me this was due to a rock hitting my window and therefore not covered. You tell me, I don't know enough about the physics of glass fractures to argue this point, and I was too frustrated as a customer to have an argument. She insisted as she had other windows repaired there and thought they did good work. When she got home I could still hear broken glass rattling in the door and a few pieces fell out. If you're going to charge 1.5x to 2x the other shops at least do a good job. Now I have to pay more money to have the door opened up, inspected, and cleaned. WORST customer service ever! I would not recommend Safelite to anyone. I was appalled at the shoddy service I was given. I called for a quote and they told me $355 out the door for my windshield replacement on a 2019 Ram Promaster. I set up to have them come up. Young guy called me very late in the day (only contact I recieved), to inform me he might not make it due to running behind. I let him know that was unacceptable as I moved all of my appointments for that day to the next one. I called his boss, and guess what, the young man made it out. Once he got there, he had the wrong windshield. Seriously. Safetlite was closed so he couldn't call anyone. Said someone would call me next day at 8am. They called next day at 10 to ask me for VIN# again and then called me back to say that the price went up over $1000.00!! Yeah right?? Im thinking not so much.
