All were amazing, and you have to save room for one of the best desserts ever, the chai tiramisu. Reservations were made through the restaurants Yelp page, received a confirmation via text and email. Upon arrival the host greeted us but could not locate our reservation, so we showed him the confirmation on our phone - a text and email. He asked us to wait and then proceeded to seat two separate parties behind us at the bar. After checking on other tables he returned to us without apology and stated we could have the available table but that we would have to be sure to finish within 90 minutes because "that table is reserved". We decided to take the table and responded that the timing would depend on the service. Thankfully the first impression didn't dissuade us from staying because the food was beyond fantastic! We ordered: Cauliflower Fritters, Pani Puri Poppers, Beef Short Ribs, Calli Rendang, Safron Rice, Garlic Naan bread and Kulfi for desert. The cauliflower fritters, pani puri poppers were tasty starters, followed by beef short ribs in Kashmiri curry sauce and the cali chili paneer randang. All perfectly spiced and layered dishes. We finished with the qulfi for dessert, a sweet pistachio frozen treat. One more thing we noticed the same host were super tentative and friendly to the 2 table next to us. In the 90mins we were there he never once came to our table to us ask how was our food. Our server Bobby was very attentive and professional. The management here is disappointing. We had a reservation and they did not accommodate us. They claimed that they "could not find our reservation or could not accommodate us." Customer Service was extremely poor and I will not encourage other people to come here if this isn't their first priority. I would give this zero stars if that was an option on yelp. Customer service is 100% key in making a restaurant business successful and unfortunately, they failed miserably. The manger was not willing to accommodate or take accountability for failing their paying customers. Down below you will see proof of our reservation that they "did not see." This is my response to Praveen: Hello Praveen... You just proved my point. When we spoke with you or your staff on the phone, you were not willing to help in any way and claimed that you "could not find my 6 pm reservation" yet in your response you acknowledged you had my 6pm reservation. I understand that I should have been on time, but I cannot control the traffic and you are fully aware that there are other customers who run late and call to notify you or your staff about the same situation. At the end of the day, there was no apology given and you denied that I didn't have a reservation at 6PM. There is a big lack of communication on your part and sadly you would think that you would want to ensure better quality service and hospitality for a customer (like myself) to experience a cuisine that is claimed to be good. We love this place. I have to warn you. It has zero curb appeal when you first drive up you wonder if you're in the wrong place. But when you walk inside, it's a different story. It's adorable and cozy. There's a full bar and the cocktails are outstanding. Every time I've been there with friends we've mostly loved everything we've had and the service has been excellent. As in, you believe your server actually cares whether you have a good meal or not. If it were less pricey, I would probably be there every week but as it is, we save it for a special treat. Don't let it fool you. Inside is a cozy dining space and bar (modern style). Reservations can be made online. We went in for the dine LA menu. Unlike other places they did not enforce everyone on the table to participate but needed everyone not getting the menu to order an entrée. So we got a vegetarian rendang (delicious! Like kadhai paneer) for one and the dine LA for another which came with paneer maki amouse bouche and paneer Tikka (both not good, really chewy pieces of paneer), fish fry (decent), and chicken vindaloo (good, flavorful, came with good amt of pieces), naan and rice, and the creme brulee (skippable). We also tried two drinks and looked confused so the bartender came to speak to us and explain. They tasted alright but I appreciated the explanation/attention. The curry is spot on!! The lamb is just right, nice and tender and juicy with some potatoes to complement the homeliness. After a few bites of the perfected lamb I just tasted the biriyani and got slapped on the tastebuds with an herbal symphony of delight fully in harmony with the flavorful tones of the lamb curry. The biriyani really explodes in flavor then I noticed it's a tad spicier than the lamb so I call it down with the yogurt provided on the side. Once again it's on point! This is such a lovely dinner. Goodness I almost forgot about the short ribs! Ok trying it now and composting the curry to the curry on the lamb and the short rib curry has a deeper darker smooth earthiness as opposed to the lamb curry having mid high sweeter lighter tasting elements of flavorful spiciness.
