maintenance person did not tighten engine oil cap and caused oil spill all over my car and burnt wires TWICE! Lessons I learned: 1. they do not hire capable people to do job properly. if they can't even tighten the cap, how do you know if they are not breaking other things? 2. they consider cleaning it up as end of solution, they really don't care if your car was almost on fire and as consumers, you can't do anything. 3. They tell you to go to BMW Canada, and BMW Canada tells you to resolve with dealer. NO ONE IN BMW TAKES ANY RESPONSIBILITY. First one Feb 2019 - Engine light came on right after service with a strong sense of burning smell all over the car. dealer tried to charge 'inspection fee'. When showed the spill, dealer said the spill is not going to damage anything (of course nothing in writing) Now just last week shortly after maintenance, engine light and burning smell came on again! Had to take it back to dealer. Their response is we cleaned it up and topped up the oil and talk to BMW canada if you want. Great service and I love my car!!! This review is long over due... my husband and I have purchased several cars over the years (or should I say my husband has LOL). The service we have received from Dan Gulin is always amazing. He is so professional, friendly, humorous and efficient. He takes his time to find the right car at the right price and does not make you feel like you are pressured to commit to anything. I have used this dealer and service department since early 2010 to 2017 The service in my early days was not great but ok. Then from 2013 it was great. They dropped their arrogant and flippant ways. Instead of waiting around for a shuttle to work they put their customers first and ordered a cab. It was a friendly and courteous place. I didn't mind the bills. Recently they lost the human touch. They use an offsite call centre. Those young ladies would be better replaced with robots. What a retrogressive step! The local staff are helpful in person. But the damage has already been done. I recommend finding an independent that understands service. read more

My spouse is currently the owner of a 2008 335i Coupe and because I'm a darn good driver and love vehicles, he's okay with me driving it too. I've brought the car in on his behalf and have accompanied him to the dealership on numerous occasions. The level of customer service here makes me feel like royalty compared to the overall attentiveness shown by other dealerships. When he became a new customer, we were gifted a few things, including a couples photo shoot and one black and white photo for the house. I've never experienced such a thing. They face issues head on and because they have bent over backwards for my spouse several times, he has even made the effort to thank them with expensive chocolates. If you knew my spouse, you'd understand that he'd be a tough customer to please (being very particular, knowledgeable and thorough), so this is a big deal. If we continue to receive the same treatment, being life-long customers will be a breeze. Dealing with the Service Department has always been hit and miss. Over the last several years of owning my X5, it has been more miss than hit. Overpriced, pushy recommendations for work that didn't need to be done, condescending attitudes when you say no, long waits for rides to and from work (once they forgot about me) and repeated requests to address errors in my name change that they never were able to fix were just some of the frustrations. I will never forget having to deal with one of their Service Receptionists throwing my keys at me because she was in a bad mood. I did nothing to initiate this behaviour. I owned two vehicles from this dealership and I very happy to say I have just sold my last BMW and will never have to deal with the 'holier than thou' attitude from this dealership again. read more

So my significant other took his 750Li for the first service after warranty expired. They came up with whole bunch of things that needed to be fixed asking for almost 3k in total. We took it to one of the Midas and it turned out we didn't need much done. Changed all brake pads for less then 450. Parts and labor in dealership is a joke. They love you when you come to buy after that don't hope for much. read more

Someone recently backed into my 318is and knocked out a front signal. We agreed to have him pay for the damages and not go through insurance, so I called Calgary BMW. Got through quickly, sorted out the part to be ordered and provided my contact information to be called when parts come in. They even told me I'd be able to change the assembly myself... which i did today, in about 5 minutes. Service was friendly, fast and on-time and I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I love bringing my car to Calgary BMW! Their staff and service levels are excellent. They really go above and beyond to keep you updated and informed about your vehicle. I also like the convenience of their shuttle service. And if they can't get you there in the shuttle, they'll call a cab and cover the cost. Once you experience the difference of being a BMW customer, it would be tough to ever switch to another brand! read more

My brand new $90,000 X5 was off the road for 6 days in its first two weeks with an engine fault. Dealership could have taken this opportunity to make me feel really valued and treated me really well. Instead I got Ford-standard service and a very basic loaner vehicle that I had to pay for. Disgusted with the whole thing. Even manager apologised after the saga, but did nothing. Words are empty. Very accommodating and helpful. I recently had to leave for a job assignment at the last minute which there prompt service made it possible for me to make it in the 3 days my office gave me to travel to Toronto. They fit me in replacing my tires, holding the summer tires and shipping them cross country, and touched up a scuff mark on my car to prevent rust from salt until I could get it properly repaired. read more

I wish I can give zero star. Went to change my winter tire on Nov 20. I did not inspect my car until I got to work and found damage on the right side of the rear tire so I drove back right away to BMW. Spoke with the one of service advisor and she told me to go to the waiting area, and she came back with a paper work and said that my car already damage when I drop it off. I requested to meet with the Manager, she called the GM. GM told me that his employee didn't damage the car. He told me to come back the next day as he said he wanted me to meet with the person who inspect my car. I came the next day and of course the that person denied. The GM told me he can find a cheap place to fix my car, WOW...really??. I also asked if they have camera in the premises they said no camera. It is hard to believe such a big dealership doesn't have camera. If they did find damage when I drop off my car, logically they will inform me and I have to sign the paper to acknowledge it. But they never inform me there is a damage, those paperwork can be made up after the fact as I didn't sign anything. It is ashamed that the service department have a poor service, unreliable and obviously doesn't care about their customer. I bought 2 BMW from this dealership but I won't come back because of the terrible service department. They should know, buying a car and service department goes hand in hand. Be careful when you drop of your car, make sure you take pictures of every angle of your car so they cannot denied if they damage your car. read more
