We've been here twice, both times we were not impressed, we will not be returning. The food is mediocre, unseasoned, and bland. The tacos quite literally looked and tasted exactly like the dairy queen tacos down the road.. not exaggerating. We had the same server both times and she is absolutely unfriendly. This restaurant is located in a little bitty town near a state park we were visiting. The yelp reviews looked good so we, along with four friends, decided to try it and am I glad we did. Wonderful buffet with delicious comfort food. We all had the buffet and my husband and the other two men put away a ton of fried fish. I went to the restroom not expecting much and was wowed. Clean, roomy and pretty. My husband said that the men's restroom was the same way. Amazing!!! Will definitely eat here again if I'm ever back there. read more

I hate to give bad reviews but...., First off let me say that in this small struggling town it's a standout to have a sit down dinner with table service. So there's that. The salad bar was very well stocked, fresh and had lots of choices including Bac'os (ick) Despite having beer ad neon signs all over and a chalkboard that had written on it "We ID everyone" they had lost their liquor license so no alcohol. Service was spotty and slow. Only 2 servers with the hostess doing double duty. Most of the six of us ordered steaks, I ordered fried catfish, and one ordered a hamburger patty. That one never got his order at all. Go figure. It wouldn't take a lot to turn the experience around. Managing expectations would go far to start. I'll give it another try. The catfish was very good. Homemade peach cobbler was listed as a dessert but alas, there was none. read more

Sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes were good, steak was very chewy but had good flavor. Our problem was the menu prices are lower than what they charge you. And they charge you 2.69 PER cup of water. Also never got water refills for our PAID for water. We were charged $65 for two meals(no extras) before tip. read more

We stopped for lunch. Unfortunately, the buffet had ended. I ordered the grilled catfish platter that came with three grilled shrimp. It was delicious. My side order was the salad bar which was very fresh and had a good variety of salads. My other side was green beans. My companion ordered the fried catfish platter and he liked it very much. Visiting Three Rivers again after 20 years, stopped in at the Staghorn and was a nice updated suprise! Service was amazing- I didn't get her name but she said just started yesterday! So friendly and attentive! Food was really good: as a family we had grilled chicken pasta, the ribeye, and grilled salmon with raspberry chipotle sauce (SO good)! Great finish to our day! read more

This place is INSANELY overpriced for the quality and amount of food you receive. It was a $106 lunch for 4 people and no one was able to finish their entrees. The tea and fried pickles were the only decent things we received. The fettuccine sauce 100% came from a can from HEB, it wasn't even warm. The burger was flavorless and overcooked. The south of the border stuffed steak was mediocre at best and the chicken fried steak was EXTREMELY small. The sides we received were a joke, $4 extra dollars for a small handful of cold fries. Just save your time and money and go to Dairy Queen or Max's in Tilden. read more

If you want a good steak this is the place. Marinated great and cooked to our medium and medium rare order.

This was surprisingly good. Great, fresh salad and the grilled shrimp in a garlic-butter sauce was very yummy. (Clearly not frozen shrimp!)
