He emphasized on the things where I needed to improve and do his best to help correct those mistakes. He was very calm while he was observing how you drive so I never felt nervous throughout the practice. Prior to this, I failed the test 5 times. I wish I could give them a 10/5…read more We did our mandatory six hours with them and it was absolutely amazing, great instructors who clearly care about them learning, taking great notes and rooting for them. They come right to your door, on time, friendly instructors - every single one of them. I honestly don't know how they find people with such great attitudes. My daughter gets a little apprehensive about new situations so everyone made her really comfortable. They said she did great. So! Because of that, we bought three more classes (extra six hours of experience). The first new lesson, she got over her fear of the freeway and did really well. She was so scared when it's her parents but with an instructor, she got over that. The second new lesson? This was the issue and absolutely kudos to Drivers Ed Direct. So, she gets panic attacks sometimes. It used to be really bad where she would miss school and it was almost daily and she hated it but she couldn't get through them, it was a rough year at the time. But, we got them mostly under control but for whatever reason... she had one about 15 minutes before her instructor showed up. I couldn't get her out of it (it's awful to see, as a parent), she was trying but she couldn't breath, short of breath. I greeted the instructor and said I have to deal with 'something' first and he was so patient, when he didn't need to be, as we were on the clock. She was in no shape to drive, it was bad... so I told him that, unfortunately, we had to cancel but we'd just eat the costs, no probably at all. He was totally amazing, my God... I was so stressed and he was like, "Totally no worries, I live close, it's okay." Nicest guy, per usual with them. The day after, I just emailed them to just apologize for that and I didn't even bring-up the cost or anything because, yeah, I should be on the hook for that, it's not their problem. But, guess what. They said it's okay and didn't even charge anything! They are going to reschedule it! I had to come on here immediately and pass that along because they absolutely didn't have to do that -- at all. But that's who they are - they care.

After 3 weeks of showing up at…read moreAAA, my car insurance company in West Hills twice, the DMV four times, calling Dollar Driving School, and going to the Van Nuys Courthouse once, I was finally able to have a ticket removed from my DMV record that I had completed traffic school for back in January of 2018 with Dollar Driving School. AAA raised my auto insurance premium by $1600 a year and when I inquired as to why, I found out that this ticket that I had cleared back in January, was still on my record. I was treated horribly by AAA when I reached out regarding this matter. Finally, when no one would help me, not AAA, the DMV or the Van Nuys Court, I called a local news station, NBC Universal, and asked if they would help me resolve this matter. When Christine Roher from NBC news got involved the entire matter was resolved in one day. She said they have numerous complaints about the DMV records being inaccurate or backlogged. The owner of DDS, Robert Stahl,called me personally to see if he could help even though I had completed the traffic school online with his company 10 months ago. He called a contact at the DMV to help me resolve this issue. I was very impressed, since it was an error on the part of the courthouse and the DMV, not his driving school. My own insurance company, AAA, would not even help, yet DDS traffic school did. The ticket has finally been removed and the underwriting department adjusted premium. I will be receiving a refund of the $1600 I was charged by AAA for this ticket that has finally been cleared from my record. Thank you DDS and Robert Stahl for your compassion and for helping me resolve this issue. It cost me $1600 and two days off of work to finally get this resolved.
