Granted it was my first boat purchase and I could have asked them to check the engine, but I had good faith that they--the nice people selling me my first boat--had already made sure it wasn't a piece of crap. They knew the previous owner, so they knew the (lack of) maintenance that had been done on the boat...but I was the one who found out that the long block rusted through, started to take on water, and slowly destroyed the inside of the engine. During my first summer, I was stranded more than a dozen times and towed to shore. It was scary. 2 years later, after completely overhauling the inside and rebuilding the engine, the boat is back in business. But I had to take it somewhere else to get it there. If you buy from here, ask for work orders. Ask for engine inspections. Ask for everything you can't see with your own eyes.

This was truly an enjoyable experience with added personal touches from the team. On the financing and deal closure side, Jody and Rich were fantastic. Jody obtained the tricky financing I requested, and made the deal closing most enjoyable. Additionally she is a walking boat regulation encyclopedia, and she provide amazing guidance on DNR regulations, Illinois government guidelines, etc. These are things I thought I knew already, as a seasoned tournament fisherman and watersport enthusiast, but found out I didn't know as much as I thought after meeting with Jody. I followed up a month ago, needing information on and possibly more parts, but no status or information on that either. When I called today, their purchasing Manager Mike basically told me that they are not the only Benetau dealer around, and to go with elsewhere. Shady. Over the summer, had a yanmar issue. They are a yanmar dealer. After 2 or so months of back and forth, I could not get them out for service. Fail. These guys had a deal on sperrys at the boat show. They didn't have my size, so I paid for them, and they said they would ship them to me. A couple weeks later, they said no can do. I went online and I ordered them through someone wide, which tells me they were unwilling to honor their price. Shady. You have been warned.
