#83-2021 Beyond pleased. I called on the phone I said if the truck is there they can shred it on the spot for you.'price quoted was fair 30 bucks for what I had. Pro shred of Chicago the Tinley Park location located right off of interstate 80 on the frontage Road between Harlem and 80th avenue very professional. They offer many services you can have a setup schedule like if you have a small business where they'll come out pick up your stuff and shred it or you can have it shredded on the spot. Their prices are beyond reasonable I came in with a tote about the size of a large laundry basket with approximately 5 years of receipts and credit card bills and all kinds of other personal things tax papers I wanted shredded and I was hoping to watch and not just leave. Well if you have lots and lots of stuff if one of their trucks are down they have to use one of the other trucks too run a route because they do do a lot of route pickups. They said the truck wasn't there at the time which I understood however after speaking and they saw what I had they were able to fire up the one little box truck with the shredding machine after they weighed my documents and all my crap that came out to be a roughly in the $30 range. They give you the first 40 lb for the can and everything else it filled up about half of it. I'll put some videos up as you can watch how it works it's pretty damn cool she was very very pleasant and very professional and fired up the little Freightliner truck idled it up and then started the shredding machine and drop down one of the old cans and put mine up put a couple of twists down the dial brought me over and said here you can watch and see how it goes and sure enough you could see it getting shredded on the little videos I'll put up which is kind of cool watching it right on the spot. They offer many services here picture will be posted with all the different kinds of things they accept and the weight limits and prices as of the 19th of October 2021. so if I ever have anything else I need my computer monitors and other stuff which I don't have but if I did I would not hesitate to use this Tinley Park location it was simple and it was done in less than about 15 minutes and my stuff was gone. read more

This business was excellent when it was ProShred. However, the business has been sold to vital records control for about a year now and the customer service is nowhere near what it used to be. They used to be very polite, helpful and accommodating. You used to be able to call in and ask a question and speak with someone on site or get clear answers about the process. Now there's a lot of ambiguity in the process. You used to be able to go in without an appointment and have your documents shredded if there was a truck on site. Now you cannot just go to the site. You have to have an appointment scheduled in advance and canceled in advance if you cannot make it per DeShawn and Customer Service. read more

My small (Elmhurst) office has 2 Pro-Shred lock-boxes on site. As they were full, I called for a pickup a couple weeks back. Fella said he would fit us in for a special 11/24 pick-up. Great. But nobody showed up. I e-mailed and was told our regular pick-up was being pushed to back to 12/1. It was as if my original phone call had never happened. Again, Pro-Shred was a no show on 12/1. On 12/2, they tell me they show their (phantom?) truck was here yesterday morning. Perhaps I am imagining it, but our shredding sits untouched in the hallway. It's been 2-weeks, and I am still trying to get them to make a pickup. read more

It couldn't have been better! We had 26 banker's boxes filled with our home office files once we retired and ProShred quickly and easily dispatched ALL of them. Elaine Rose and Dennis, in the Tinley Park office, and Jovar, the onsite technician and supreme driver, are cheerful professionals who guided us through the entire process, making this task almost delightful. We were able to actually see the papers getting fed into the grinders. In and out in less than an hour and their fees were exactly as quoted and very reasonable. Hope we never have to do this again; but, if we do, ProShred is the only shredding company we would trust to destroy our confidential files. "Security" is their last name but certainly their first goal. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The people who came to pick up my shred said that they were tired and that it was too much work. I called the company and complained and was told there was nothing they could do. I then left a bad review. Please read below to read the messages the owner of this company was sending me. He is rude and has terrible customer service! read more

Smooth, courteous, professional from start to finish Arrived well within the timeframe they gave me,loaded all my documents into the bin themselves, driver a pleasure to deal with Service received worth every penny! Will refer them to anyone who asks me about shredding read more

This is an excellent business service for both companies and private individuals. If you have papers and documents that require shredding for security purposes, this is your place. If you are a business, they will send out a truck to pick up your materials. If you are a private individual, you can load up your materials and drive them in for on-site shredding service. Nice user-friendly website to learn about the services offered, location maps included. As to premises, nice clean storefront staffed with attentive personnel. If you want to watch your materials being shredded, no problem. They will help you dump the papers into a bin that is then wheeled up to the shredding truck located just inside the warehouse door. Go right in with the operator and watch him mount the paper bin on the truck for shredding. They even have a little camera attached to the shredding hopper so you can watch the shredding drum actually destroy your papers...and you see when the hopper is empty, proof positive your materials were shredded. Highly recommended. read more

Can't go wrong here! They came when they said they would and we're in and out of our office in 10 minutes. Very friendly driver.

Today I had ProShred come to Elgin. Terrific every step of the way. They promptly responded to my request for a quote. Joey and Brandon drove up to the house, quickly loaded up the papers from a dozen boxes and shredded in their truck. They were professional and friendly - and on time! And the prices are reasonable. I would definitely use them again. read more

We just started using them this year. They are friendly, professional and timely. The price is great too! Sheila M. read more

Twenty years of paperwork gone in less than 20 minutes! It's really cool watching the shred.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, Workers came out to shred showed up 40 minutes late and only did 1/10 of the job that was ask to do. Was charged for more work than was actually done on top of it all. Awful and deceptive business practices. read more

We had a great experience with Pro Shred. The back and forth phone calls were handled mainly with Elaine, but everyone was helpful and friendly. Elaine could not have been more pleasant. They arrived early and there were no problems with the workmen and the maintenance men. Smooth sailing. Extremely satisfied. Will use them again when we have 200 more boxes. Marla S. Wow what an awesome experience. We hired them to take all our 2016-2017 office files and shred them and the process was so easy to setting it up to getting it done. We used them in 2017 and I believe 2018 as well. This is just my first time experiencing what happens and what goes on when they come. We got a confirmation call the day before which is so very helpful and also a confirmation call when they were ten mins away! That is great customer service if you ask me. And our business is all about customer service and I definitely want to give credit to where credit is due. Good customer service is hard to find nowadays. The driver was very pleasant to deal with as well. VERY happy and our company CertaPro will continue to use them. read more

The first experience was a little rocky but the second time they were on time, shredded all the material we had put out and they did it very efficiently. They were very professional. For anyone who needs to have a lot of paper shredded one-time or on a regular basis I would highly recommend them. Very reasonably priced compared other drop off locations. We feel much safer knowing the documents have all been taken care of permanently. read more

Great experience. Call ahead to make sure the truck is there. You can actually watch them shred your documents right in front of your very own eyes. I prefer this modality of shredding paper because if you drop off at a location like UPS or any other shredding facility there is still a possibility that someone within the store or company can see your private documents. This place is fast secure and reliable. It cost me $20 to shed a grocery bag full of documents that had sensitive information on it. This will be my go to place for shredding large scale documents. read more

I used Yelp to find ProShred. It could not have been easier. One phone call to set up the appointment. I had the boxes ready in my garage when the truck arrived. They emptied the contents of the boxes into the can and then the can lifted and dumped into the shredder. There was a video screen so I could watch it all get shredded. It couldn't have been easier and was very reasonable! read more

Super easy and felt like security is their priority, actually watched the shred process (like 1 minute), I am sorry I do not have the employee's name, but she was superwoman, one woman show. read more

Right on time. Billed at exact quoted price. Came and picked up the stuff and I had a lot. Friendly, extremely fast. I'd say completely done within 10 minutes. No hassles in the least. These guys are a bunch of crooks. They removed equipment from my office, damaged my door. They refused to repair or assume liability. I have them damaging my door on video camera. Getting my legal team involved. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They will smile and laugh in your face but when it comes time to billing or canceling service, you will see another side to this company. After I reported the damaged door, the manager told me they didn't do it. I have 16 cameras in my office, and a very clear angle of them damaging the door. read more

We brought about 97 lbs. of paper to ProShred in Tinley Park. We called ahead to make sure we could just come in. The tech was friendly, service was quick, and the price was very reasonable. We definitely recommend this business!! read more

I originally scheduled a 6/3 shred time with Connor Hockinson. Called me the day of and asked if he could re-schedule as they had limited staff for shred service. Guaranteed me an 8:30 am service call on 6/10 for helping out. 6/10, this morning, I left 2 VM & 1 text message. Never called back until a supervisor called him directly to contact me. Now told me I was scheduled between 10:30am - 11:30am, never originally scheduled me for 1st call. DO not believe what they tell you, very unreliable. read more

After deciding it was time to get rid of paperwork that was over a decade old and no longer useful, I realized I'd burn out my shredder and it would take weeks of shredding to get rid of it. I saw a nice review here and decided to give them a try. I'd definitely go back with another pile of paperwork if I find any more. $20 for a little over 20 pounds of paper is very reasonable. It took less than 10 minutes to go in, weigh it, watch it being loaded and shredded. It would've taken me weeks to shred it on my own and I probably would've burnt out my shredder. Their service was outstanding and their service is extremely helpful. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Proshred this morning. We researched several companies and they were by far the most professional and easy to work with. Leon (in the office) was super easy to deal with when booking the pickup. Matt, the driver was very personable and couldn't have been any nicer,..Matt even explained all the steps of how everything gets shredded. Very easy process and competitively priced. I would highly recommend them and I will continue to use them in the future. Diane Custom Specialty Promotions Wheeling, IL read more

ProShred provided excellent service from the time of my initial inquiry call through scheduling and finally pick up. I had a large amount of bankers type boxes filled with business and personal documents. "Matt" showed up at my home exactly when he said he would. He was quick and pleasant and made my otherwise stressful life super simple for the 20 minutes he was there. Thank you, ProShred.... In a world where customer service is oftentimes overlooked, you definitely went above and beyond in all aspects to ensure I had an excellent experience. read more

We used Pro Shred mobile shredding to help us clear a home basement full of no longer needed records. These guys are pros! The guidance on how to estimate cost, preparation and what to expect was excellent. The team that arrived was timely, worked efficiently and was pleasant to deal with. My ability to witness the actual shredding using the truck side camera and to receive a certifying document of destruction after completion fit our needs perfectly. Couldn't believe how quick and easy and how great it feels to have the basement cleared. read more

Quality, fast and professional. The every third Saturday walk in service is fantastic. They say they open at 9. The service office was open at 8:50 when I pulled in. The service rep was so courteous, which is a lost art sometimes. He even got up and came from behind the counter to open the door when he saw me carrying in multiple bags and a computer. My 35 lbs of paper shredding and the removal and shredding of the hard drive took only 10 min. I was able to watch which most in city companies don't offer. Very worth the 40 min drive. read more

Not only is their customer service at corporate friendly and helpful, their prices are great and the documents are shred right in front of you on site! The drivers, service guys are fast and friendly! Plus, the contact is a month to month. So you can cancel at any time you are unhappy - not that we want to! Happy to have them to our shredding! read more

Just a shout out to proshred. The guys showed up in a very timely manner. In 10 minutes 5 years of personal papers bills and a lot of other unnecessary paper clutter was destroyed. I did not have to lug the huge amount of material (2 giant Rubbermaid totes) to a shredding location or a potentially less secure holding area at an office supply store. They did it all for $120. In the past I've paid $80 and had to haul all the stuff myself. Well worth the extra spend. read more

Very professional and ontime service. It was a set it and forget it that I am grateful to have. Great Prices too.
