I had to come here for live scan. A job requirement. Nice, quiet office only customer there and three reps to assist. Two females and a male, females greeted me which is welcoming and they had cute fall decor throughout the office. Parking in normal shopping center off busy off ramp. I didn't pay but I'm sure value is there. Thanks ladies for the hospitality. I would give a 5 if all reps acknowledged me upon entry, after all I was the only person to walk in. I know the guy was working with a other female, however lifting your head and nodding, smile, be right with you, etc. Not hard, not a big deal I'm just huge on customer service. read more

They do live scans! I wasn't sure if they did because it seems Iike it's just automotive services (registration, insurance etc). They charge depending on the level of live scan you need. That is usually determined by the employer so you don't have an option. So it is $25 for DOJ and it is $75 for both DOJ and FBI. My experience was really quick. I stopped in on Tuesday at about 3:00pm and was greeted right away. There were two people being helped before me. I waited a few minutes and was helped. The lady doing my live scan was nice and she was patient with me and my fingers! Lol I always have a problem when I go in for a livescan. My finger prints are "light" apparently. I always have to do and redo them multiple times and put on lotion to make them show up better. It's definitely annoying. But that's my genetics I guess? Lucky me... lol Overall good experience though at this agency. read more

Had to register an out of state truck, and the dealership I bought it from could not seem to manage where to send the title and registration. Needless to say, Cal Auto was on it from the moment I walked in the door. Lupe walked me through the process and explained all the costs to me upfront. She also explained the waiting time (as my vehicle was rapidly approaching the 30-day temporary registration deadline). Great place for registration services. I renewed my car registration here a few years ago and I just recently registered a used vehicle that I purchased (1987 Ford Ranger). The facility has been upgraded and looks very nice and very clean. The staff is nice and friendly. There is a notary on staff there too and she speaks Spanish if you need a translator. The fees for services are very affordable too. Great place! I highly recommend. read more

Worst Special interest plate process ever! Wasted 10 days with fake promises to get me the special interests plate draft sent by email to confirm the name of the plate, I end up showing up at the store. Once Lili saw me she told I can offer you a full refund and I don't want to do it for you !!! What ??!! I always come here for my live scan needs. It's $69 which is pretty much the same or cheaper than most places. The ladies are nice and there's rarely ever a line here. I see that they also have insurance and auto registration which I've yet to try. They are located off Magnolia Ave. of the 15 freeway in the same plaza as The Dollar tree and what used to be El Tapatio grocery store. It's next to Waba Grill and Subway. Good to know a convenient place like this exists! read more

Great customer service, This location is always attentive to your needs and they listen before they try to help you out. They are not pushy at all and that's what I liked, both reps were very knowledgeable on what services I needed. The fees associated with the service was not extremely high. If you don't want to wait 49hrs at the DMV come check this place out. Very limited seating for the wait and sometimes it does get busy. read more

The wait was over two hours , it smelled, and was so dirty I wanted to spray the whole place with lysol.. My husband and I went to get livescanned at this place and did not have a positive experience. We waited for 20 minutes while the lady was helping someone else. When it was our turn, she went to the next customer who came in after us because it was a registration and it was going to take less time. To me that's not right. You should help people in the order they came in. Showing preference to a certain transaction because it takes less time is unacceptable. We were in that place for a total of 40 minutes. Make sure you don't have to be anywhere by a certain time because they move slowly and they might skip you. read more

Abbreviated version: Cost $60 more than the DMV, still had to take time off work, had to give credit card information over the phone, and took two weeks to get my registration from here. Long version: I wanted to avoid waiting in line at the DMV so I decided to give this place a chance. I dropped my registration off on a Tuesday and they charged me the DMV amount plus $15 for document preparation fees plus $39 in processing fees plus $6 in credit card processing fees, bringing the grand total in convenience charge to $60. This seemed rather steep to me, but I really didn't want to wait in line and I wanted my registration quickly so I could get on the road. They said for an additional $12 that they could get it to me that day, but since they close at 5, I would have to take even more time off work to pick it up so I declined. The next day, they called up and said there was some sort of a calculation error at the DMV and said the DMV wanted to charge me $25 more and they didn't know why. They said I could either just pay the $25 or they could look into it and let me know the next day. Not wanting to fork over $25 unless I had to, I told them to look into it and call me back. A week later, I still hadn't heard from them. I called them that Wednesday and they said they still didn't know but they would look into it. I called them again on Thursday and they said they still didn't know. They called me Thursday night on my way home from work and said that the $25 was because the vehicle was being registered in Los Angeles County instead of Riverside county. Given that they claim to be able to register vehicles anywhere, I was quite shocked that they didn't even bother to check what tax rate needed to be applied. They asked for my credit card information over the phone, but I was driving so I couldn't provide it. I called in the next morning, Friday, to provide my credit card information. They said their driver had already left for the day so I would have to wait until Monday to get my registration, meaning a second weekend went by without me being able to drive my vehicle. I called around noon on Monday and they said that they still didn't have the registration. Within five minutes of me calling them, my credit card got charged $25 and they then called me back, so I suspect it was there they entire time and they just forgot about it. In summary, instead of spending a couple hours in line at the DMV, I paid $60 extra, had to give out my credit card information over the phone, and waited almost two weeks to be able to drive my vehicle. I can't say that I won't use this business again, but it will definitely be my last resort. read more

For over 20 years (since I first started driving!), I have taken all my registration, title, and insurance work to these folks, and have always had an impeccable experience. I am surprised to see any negative reviews considering I have never once seen an upset customer in all my time with them. Walked in, woman was on her computer doing something. She tols me to wait, so i waited and filled out my paperwork. Then waited as she printed things. Then she walked towards me so I stood up but instead she answered a phone. She told them to hold because she was with a customer. So naturally I thought ok, not too bad, then she hung up and asked me if I could wait two minutes while she took another call, she said it was very important. So I said I'd wait. I obviously overheard her conversation ( I was literally the only other person in there) and finally realized she was on the phone to her credit card company. Wow. Just wow. Went in to get a title change thinking it had not been done paid them in advance. I had to go to AAA for a travel plan and decided to ask them if the title was on file and they said yes. Went back to Cal Auto and the owner is repeatedly telling me she went to the DMV 3 times to get the title but it was in progress and could not but it would be $200 to get title. Now they do not want to give me full credit. The information she provided was incorrect. I did not need a title. The owner would not stop talking and trying to convince me her b.s. story about how they provided me a service, In order to not credit me the money I paid them. If she was concerned about future reference and business she should have given me full credit. Not very good business sense. read more
