    Pecan pie--delicious!
    CC B.

This is the best bakery, bar none! For Thanksgiving, we ordered a pecan pie and a GF carrot cake. Both are delicious! The carrot cake is so moist...no one will know it's GF.

My brother and I got three things they were called: the cookies and cream minicake, the chocolate mousse minicake, and the cookie dough brownie. They were all delicious and the person who gave us our order was kind. There was a four percent discount on cash so the total with tax was about $22. The ambiance was good. You can also get ice cream but if you are looking for a place that was bread this isn't it.

Spoke with Alyssa and ordered a dozen chocolate cupcakes to be delivered to my son for his birthday. He's attending Western and we're in California so it was nice knowing he was still going to be able to enjoy something sweet for his birthday. And he said they were delicious.

The ham and Swiss croissant was next level. Without question the best croissant in the valley - buttery, chewy, light, and flakey. Elite baking.

    Moist, very decadent carrot cake

This business has it all. Coffee, ice cream, pastries and of course cakes. Prices are very reasonable, my large slice of carrot cake was only $5.75. Less than what you would pay for dessert at a restaurant and WAY more tasty. You can eat inside or there's two small tables out front. Great employee who answered all of our questions about each treat. Will be back?

So excited for these guys to expand to into a Main Street store front. Had a lovely latte and a croissant! The staff were friendly, informative, and polite. Excited to spend many more morning over flaky pastries and a cup of Joe here.

Might be the best croissant I've ever had-chorizo green chili and still warm from the oven! Everything I tried was amazing!

The corn dogs were slightly burnt (in our opinion) but the flavor was very good, we would order again. However I think the chips are a miss....just serve them without them and charge a little less in my opinion, they aren't needed. We liked both sauces. The potatoes we originally ordered with the fried egg but the server forgot (she was very apologetic) and got one out to us after a few mins. The egg honestly did nothing to the dish. We wish the potatoes were crispier for sure but the garlic aoli was good. However, we prob wouldn't order it again. The masa cakes were good, I would order again but nothing mind blowing. Overall it was just ok. I think what kind of set our decision to probably not return is the fact that a table near us had asked the server something (we aren't exactly sure what) and she took their dish back and then proceeded to talk crap about them in the server/kitchen area. My husband said the table didn't hear her but I don't know how they didn't as she was talking very loudly about how "my tables are so annoying today! The things people ask for are crazy" (etc) and it made me really uncomfortable. I used to be a server and can understand frustrations with customers but it was unprofessional to talk crap about them when other customers can hear.

Well Kate took care of us and it was clear she has thought through the menu. We enjoyed the marinated goat cheese and the zucchini blossom cakes as well as the unique take on chili relleno (with nasturtium!) before diving into the grilled octopus that rivaled the same dish we've had many times in in Portugal. Impeccable service and a creative cocktail menu rounded out the evening. Highly recommend!

Service was less than desirable. Forgetful, slow, maybe training, maybe lack of care. Food was just OK. We got the cheese curds which were over cooked, more than a good ratio were lacking cheese and was just breading. I had the prime rib and that was good, Rosemary crusted and fair serving size, Loaded baked potato and the house Mac'N'Cheese, all tasted good. The better half got the soup of the day, which was not the soup of the day (see comments about server), ended up with a potato soup that the server failed to mention had seafood. Non issue for us but we do have a child with seafood allergies SMH. 2 bites in and BAM; Salmon... The Chicken Fried steak lacked Flavor as did the gravy and the mashed potatoes. We had to ask for silverware and napkins multiple times, dessert was OK, Coffee showed up after we ate it... Carrot cake and a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, both run of the mill and not special. Bottom line: tourist prices for just OK food and service.

We were a party of four in there for dinner, one gentleman got the fillet, I got the T-bone steak, the other two people shared a big salad, chucked fried steak, a baked spud and wine We had a very nice bottle of red wine at a fair price (the Malbec!) Everyone was very well pleased with the way the steaks were cooked, the presentation was nice, and the service was absolutely great by a gal named "Max" (which we figured was short for Maxine). Max absolutely loves her job, and it was obvious! She took great care of us! We were treated like long, lost friends, although it was my very first time in the restaurant. I strongly recommend checking this place out in Gunnison, the prices are quite fair for the type of food and the ambience.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. This thing was so fresh tasting, there's no way it was prepared from being frozen. Full of quinoa, corn, etc. super duper delicious remoulade on a really good gourmet bun. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. There's lovely tables and chairs under the trees that are clean and stocked with napkins and hand sanitizer. A really nice break in our trip!

They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!

We wanted to take a break on a long drive, so we sat down inside. We got lucky--no line. Our server was quick to greet us and brought cokes in big glasses with crushed ice. Yes. While we waited on food, I looked around and soaked in the vibe. This is a local's place in the purest sense, but has always felt welcoming, no matter where I'm living. Pizza--and buttered spaghetti w meatball for the younger diner--arrived quickly enough and we dug in. Mario's pizza stands out as "normal" pizza with every ingredient and flavor on point. You'll have to drive a long way to find any on par with Mario's pies. They're in my top three Colorado mountain town pizza joints and I've been to my fair share. The meatball from the kids' spaghetti was moist and tasty--good, not great. Five stars for simple excellence, good service, and the 60-70s pizza joint decor.

The wine list is very nice, and you won't break the bank -- especially at happy hour, with two dollars off each glass of wine between 5 and 7 PM. We had the House Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina, and it had a delicious flavor and aroma. It was a full bodied and smooth, dark red offering. For an appetizer, we had the Shishati grilled peppers with pesto/cilantro sauce, and they were just fantastic. They are mild, nicely grilled, and beautifully presented. It is served as an appetizer, but please be warned, one out of every nine peppers is exceedingly hot. We had about 12 peppers, and all of them were mild, so we beat the odds! I've had hamburgers all over the world, and I can honestly say I have not had a better cheeseburger than I got right here from the menu at Blackstock. It's in a traditional bun, lightly toasted, with tempura, onion, cracked pepper, mayo, Tabasco, candied and smoked bacon, and it is served with Hand-cut fries. You can add guacamole for a dollar, or blue cheese or Gruyere cheese for another dollar. But I did not add a thing; it was perfect as it came out of the kitchen for me! You will be asked how you want your hamburger cooked, and I chose medium. It could not have been better! It's on the menu at a very fair $21 including your hand-cut fries. My lovely dinner-date had the petite filet mignon, a 5-ounce offering of spectacular steak, served with goat cheese, potato croquettes, asparagus, stewed shallots, served with a Cabernet Demi glaze at $45. It was a large serving, I believe bigger than 5 ounces, because we are taking half of it home in a to-go box! Again, the food was spectacular... really good. We will finish with the flourless chocolate torte, serve with whipped cream and Amarina dark cherries at $11. If I was a betting man, I'd say you're gonna love this place! Take a few pictures, do what I did, and leave a review, because more people need to know the quality of food coming out of this little storefront on a busy street in Gunnison! And if you ask for Danielle, be advised, he's a great server and you will get exactly what you need! He's very attentive, and charming.

More recently, we sat at the bar last week to enjoy both happy hour, and the ramen menu. The bartender was great, and checked in with us regularly. We started with a small plate of the bistro fries - which comes covered in Truffle Oil, Herbs de Provence, and Parmesan Cheese - they're super good, and would say better than a certain CB restaurant's crack fries. The small order was plenty for the three of us to share. For drinks, we started with wine, beer, and I had a mojito. The mojito wasn't my favorite - for some reason, it was really sweet. Second drink was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which went well with the ramen. On to the ramen - I went with the Boo-Tan-E-Koo Pork broth, traditional wavy noodles, pork belly, poached egg, tempura, green onion, buttered sweet corn, chile thread, fresh ginger, sesame seeds. It was delicious, flavorful, and I couldn't get through the whole bowl (I took about half of it home). That was my first time taking ramen home, and would note it heated up nicely for lunch the next day. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!
