My brother and I got three things they were called: the cookies and cream minicake, the chocolate mousse minicake, and the cookie dough brownie. They were all delicious and the person who gave us our order was kind. There was a four percent discount on cash so the total with tax was about $22. The ambiance was good. So first off....I needed a birthday cake. Usually they require a week but they were able to accommodate me quicker than that (try to give them a week, though). They were super helpful and flexible coming up with what should be a delicious concoction....as I didn't really have a specific idea of what I wanted. They will guide you. Second....their stuff is IRRESISTABLE. I had banana pudding (that I thought was bread pudding) but it was delicious just the same. Their croissants are to die for. And their mini-cakes...don't get me started. The Peanut Butter mini-cake is SO good it should be illegal and needs to be outlawed. I was in NYC a few years ago and went to the "Cake Boss" bakery. The Peanut Butter mini-cake is so good it could be in the display case there. Super friendly and accommodating. OH...and the soup....OMG I had their lemon-chicken rice soup. I don't usually like chicken rice soups but the voice in my head told me I should try it. I'm SO glad I did as it was DELICIOUS!!! There were lots of delicious looking mini cakes and other treats vying for attention from the display case but the siren song of graham cracker mousse lured me into taking home the S'mores flavor. This cake was fantastic. Moist rounds of chocolate cake are suspended in a light and creamy graham cracker mousse that impressively retained its structure until the last few spoons-edge scoops. There's a small dollop of marshmallow crème in the middle and the fine graham cracker crumb on the outside gave the whole thing a grown-up Hostess Snoball vibe. 10/10 would eat again. We also picked up a chorizo and cheddar croissant to have with breakfast the next morning. The pastry itself was satisfyingly flaky and buttery and stayed nice and tender overnight but the fillings weren't as punchy as I was hoping. Could've done with more cheese and a bit more spice. Maybe my favorite thing about their storefront was on the wall to the left of the register where customers could prepay for a future visitor. It was heartwarming to see the dedications on each voucher and it's a really nice touch that grounds Cake Me Away in the community where it operates. Less than what you would pay for dessert at a restaurant and WAY more tasty. You can eat inside or there's two small tables out front. We came into town and picked up two pies for thanksgiving. We got the Dutch Apple and Pumpkin. They were to die for! Alyssa (the owner) built the cutest spot on Main Street. She is so friendly and smiley. While picking up pies we got pumpkin cannolis, sugar cookies and a pumpkin Nutella muffin. All we're out of this world amazing. My daughter ordered a 2 layer cake for her wedding- no decorations because we were going to put flowers on it ourselves. It had white icing- that's it and we were charged $330 dollars for it. It tasted really good but I feel like it was very overpriced. My daughter said she was quoted $175 but didn't get anything in writing , so we paid the $330. Vendors hear the word "wedding" and instantly the price gets tripled. read more
