Nothing beats a classic, hole-in-a-wall, bakery. The whole store has an air of my childhood with all the older wood in the store. The donuts and cookies all inside are not fancy, but they are nostalgic and taste like home! I have not seen a classic, straightforward bear claw in a long while, and the taste was as good as I remembered. Definitely dropping by again when I am in town!

Stopped in for a coffee while in BV but they didn't really have much variety - you could get a generic cup of drip coffee or have it over ice. Hubby wanted something more flavorful, so we opted to go to the roastery across the street to get a drink. We decided to buy a dozen chocolate chip cookies before we left. The cookies seemed a little stale and they had an odd flavor. Even our always hungry teenage son didn't like them which is saying something as he'll usually eat anything.

The donuts are delicious. It's a small traditional style bakery without any fancy selections, so don't expect any gluten free scones.

The bread here alone is super impressive, we ate a whole pretzel loaf as an appetizer and i don't regret it. The Mojo Pork Benedict was absolutely delicious! The pork was so tender and flavorful and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My sister's cinammon roll French toast was the best dessert breakfast! Overall this place is really impressive and is churning out delicious food in such a tiny space!

I didn't even get to take a photo of the pretzel because I completely annihilated it. It was phenomenal. I came to my senses enough go photograph the sandwich, it was also amazingly good. I passed the loaf around to everyone at my table and we all really liked it. I also got a cute little mason jar for my drink which is so cool. The eatery is inside a little shop so the vibe is very granola in the best way. It smells incredible inside. The staff is also so incredibly nice and gave me several recommendations and made it all seem like incredible options. The price point is high, but i'm learning that's just Colorado in general. I had no issue spending my money here.

My friends would probably call me a bit of a coffee snob, so I don't hand out compliments lightly. They get a high five from me. The coffee was excellent. I also had a breakfast burrito that paired perfectly with it. We sat outside on the patio, which was a great way to start the morning. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the coffee was outstanding. While the extra night in Buena Vista wasn't part of the plan, I'm grateful it gave me the chance to discover BV Roastery. I'd definitely stop here again.

We went into a couple of other supposed coffee stores in this little town and they really didn't have what we wanted which was a cortado. Most of the people didn't even know what we're talking about. And suggested that we go to Buena Vista Roastery. Really nice set up. Wonderful cortados and espresso americanos, etc. etc. Also had some Nice baked goods and a real cool vibe. You could sit inside or outside. When we were. There was pretty hot so we stayed inside, but it's a hopping place. Lots of people on their laptops, apple parking and again, a really great vibe to the place. People that work. There were really nice and we would absolutely come back.

My oh my! I have a new favorite cake and it's all the way in Aspen, CO! :(…read more I take cakes very seriously. I do cake tastings for birthday cakes. No big deal. On a recent trip to Aspen we were celebrating a birthday in our group and I took it upon myself to order the cake. I came across d'Elissious through a friend who lives in Aspen. I visited there website and left a message requesting a cake for 4 days later. I got a call back and ordered a 6 inch golden velvet cake. The lady was very friendly and delivered the cake to our hotel for a small delivery charge. It was simply done in white with a "Happy Birthday" inscription. BUT what I really want to tell you about, and the whole world about is just how amazing this cake tasted. Holy Cake Gods! This was the BEST cake I have ever had. It was a sour cream cake with cream cheese frosting. The whole group agreed that this cake was straight from the heavens. It was so good in fact, that I dragged the left over cake all the way back to LA. On the plane. Through security. Totally worth it. I finished the entire thing. She will ship but it's super pricey... I just might do it at some point!
