Tips:
- A cake slice goes for $4.50.
- If you are ordering a two- or three-tiered cake, this bakery requires two to three days to create it.
- If you are going for a single cake, there are ready-made ones, or you can order one and get it within the day.
My friend and I saw Cake Art Studio when we first pulled into the plaza. We flagged checking it out after having dinner across from this business. We then walked over.
We didn't know whether this store made full cakes only. I'm glad that we took a look. I saw a display case and was thrilled that it also had cake slices.
We saw a small fridge with kulfi. I don't see kulfi often.
I saw a sign for veggie patties. Freshly baked. Yum!
I saw a lone container of biscotti. I can only guess that they sell fast.
We were greeted by a friendly man. He was so patient with us as we looked around.
I asked him about ordering a cake and how much time he'd need if we wanted one. For a two- or three-tiered cake, this bakery requires two to three days to create it. For a single layer cake, either we could pick a ready-made one up or order one that would be ready on the same day.
The full cakes looked beautiful and yummy. The cake slices and cream rolls caught my attention. The cake slices were $4.50 each, which I found to be a steal. The problem was trying to figure out what I wanted.
I'm a fruit person. The pineapple slice appealed to me. The mango slice did as well. I got both. Done!
This place accepts all major credit cards, including American Express. My friend and I were talking about how this credit card isn't accepted anywhere. Well, it is here!
I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. Done!
He carefully put my cake slices in a transparent container. I thanked him and we headed to my car. I dropped my friend off at her home and then I headed home.
Each cake slice was carefully wrapped. I had the pineapple cake slice first. It was so good. There was pineapple puree as a layer that I enjoyed. The cake was perfect. I normally am not a fan of whipped cream, but I loved it so much as a layer. This entire cake was enjoyable to each and was slightly sweet.
I'd get a full pineapple cake. I'd eat it myself. Go get your own.
I then had the mango slice. It was surprisingly not what I had expected. It had beads of anise on top. I was such a fun contrast with the natural mango flavour on the top. I loved it!
The cake and whipped cream were the same as the pineapple. This slice was also slightly sweet. I am a fan of these cake slices.
I will head back to either get more cake slices or a full cake. It was an awesome find. I'll be back!
