Horrible dentist with a poor attitude towards patients . Terrible care my child received.

I started my braces journey 1/2019 with Dr. Cain who was vey thorough and straight to the point. He never said anything I wanted to hear he told it as it was. I have never been a fan of the dentist but this office literally treats you like family. Dr. Chris has now taken over the practice and he is full of energy and ready to tackle it head on. I just got my braces off and still have a lot of work needed for my smile journey but I am very happy of how far I have come. My son and now my daughter are on their braces journey and I just can't wait to see the end results. Thank you for everything Dr. Cain and enjoy retirement. Dr. Chris take care of my babies lol! Do not get your braces here under any circumstances. Rubber bands were left on my teeth following treatment by orthodontist. My dentist years later found them do to abnormalities with my teeth. I called orthodontist and they said sometimes this happens. Do not take your kids here! read more

So during COVID, I took it upon myself to start straightening my teeth DIY-style with a company called Candid (highly recommend NOT doing this) and as a result of this "treatment," I ended up with a shifted bite and my crowding didn't even get corrected! (Insert dramatic eye roll) I began with a referral from my dentist to an orthodontist in the area, and when I called them-let me tell you-first impression was not cute. After shopping around for a provider, I stumbled across Dr Cain's office. I began correspondence with Dr Chris who really motivated me to get this going and informed me of my options. During this initial process, there was an issue with my dental insurance that really slowed down my being able to be treated. I'll be honest, Dr. Chris and Janet handled the situation with grace and patience, keeping me updated with the status of the situation. They dealt with a very frustrated version of myself, and like I said, they handled it very well considering. Anyway, issue was resolved and fast forward to my appointment. Everything was handled well, again-I was informed of the entire process from billing to the actual procedure (traditional braces). Dr. Chris and Juan stayed late to accommodate my appointment and really did their best at keeping me at ease throughout. (I'll be the first to recognize I can be very anxious) Honestly I'm happy I stumbled across their office, they're a great crew and Dr. Chris is really willing to work with you. Dr. Cain is amazing! From the first appointment he explained the process in detail and not only addressed the cosmetic aspect of straightening my children's tteerh but also identified and fixed the problem that made their teeth crooked in the first place. We went over the projected treatment plan time with my daughter but it was because they strive for perfection and there was never any additional cost added. Coming from a family of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, a dentist and hygienists, I have known and treated with dozens of dental and medical professionals throughout my life. As a civil trial attorney, I am used to dealing with irate and unprofessional people. I must say, however, that I am shocked by Dr. Cain's unprofessional and irrational behavior. Love Dr. Cain and everyone who works in the office! Being an adult with braces is already complex enough considering a lot of employers don't cover adult orthodontia. From the moment I stepped foot in the office a little over a year ago I was treated with respect and absolute professionalism. I had consultations with multiple offices prior to me selecting this office for my treatment. During my consultation Dr. Cain was able to take one look at my mouth and describe problems that other orthodontist would need multiple x-rays to figure out. I may not be your typical orthodontia patient. I'm 47 years old and this is my second time with braces (my first was when I was a sophomore in high school). I cannot begin to express my joy and pleasure with this second experience. Everyone in the office is cheerful and very pleasant. The staff go out of their way to make the office visits as comfortable as possible. Dr. Cain is very pleasant and very personable. He always explains what will be happening during this visit and ALWAYS allows you to ask ***ANY*** question you have. Yes, there are times when the procedure is uncomfortable, but that is the nature of orthodontics. The discomfort I have experienced this time is about 10% of what I had back in 1980(ish). The ***Longest*** uncomfortable period has been about 3 days, where previously i'd be sore for about 2 weeks. It could be the difference in procedures between now and then, but I believe that it is due to the care that DR Cain and staff use during my procedures. Would I recommend Dr. Cain and staff? *********ABSOLUTELY********** (and I have. Cain Orthodontist is by far, the best medical experience I have ever had. After years of poor customer service in the medical industry, I became accustomed to rude individuals and the run around when trying to get answers. When I came here, I couldn't believe how friendly and respectful the entire staff is. I don't wait when I come in, they make an effort to see you at your appointment time, and to make sure you aren't waiting around while they service other people. It is so comforting to know they respect me and my time. They are also friendly ... Like they are friends or family type of friendly! Remembering patients names and interests. I hear the interaction with the other patients, and they are truly caring with everyone. Honestly, I hate having braces! I would imagine most patients feel this way. But I have found that Cain Orthodontists has done everything possible to help with this journey and make me as comfortable as possible. I usually just drop my little sister here to get her braces changed, and the assistants at the front desk are always so friendly and helpful. Today, I just went and got a consultation for my own braces, and boy did I feel so comfy. Everyone was soo welcoming. The assistant who helped me literally showed me and explained ever single part of there place just for kicks. The ortho Dr.Cain was super nice! Probably the first time I've been to an ortho, but I think no one will be able to top him. He's so friendly and bubbly. If you're looking for an orthodontist for your child or for yourself I recommend this place. They know how to answer every single question you throw at them, especially when it comes to choosing "the best" option for your braces and what not. Absolute joke with this Dr. office. last year I did not have dental insurance and the office said i could purchase insurance through Costco and the braces treatment for my son would be $4500 i then obtained insurance exactly a year later and they now say his braces would be $7,000 haha absolute crook. what a pathetic practice to be treated so poorly. If you want to spend more go for it. my sons teeth need minimal adjustment as states on an email Nd a written statement from their office on lower teeth when we spoke to the dr. last year and now they want $2500 more. We saw this office one time last year then one more time last week with the inflated price. My son had western dental originally who did a horrible job on my sons teeth a year and a half earlier. Don't let them swindle you out of money!!! read more

I had my daughters balance paid down to only 250. And the IRS garnished my wages. I explained to Dr Cain that I'm a single mom and I would have to skip the last payment until the following month and he treated me terrible. He treated me like a welfare recipient and was so rude! I have an irregular/open bite that I've been wanting to fix for years. I've been told by many orthodontist over the past couple years that getting braces isn't an option for me (because I have short roots.) So I came to Dr. Cain's office expecting to hear the same news. He was positive that he can fix my bite with braces until he seen my x-rays, braces was not an option for me. I was a little bummed to hear that again but I am soooooo HAPPY I came into his office anyways. I say that because no other orthodontist suggested an alternative or advised what my dentist should do instead. He contacted my dentist & explained what would work best for my situation & because of him my bite is so much better!! He knows his work!!! He knows what he's talking about & he really cares about his patients. I came in only for a consultation but I left with a plan to still to help with my irregular bite. From day one, I have always felt welcome in Dr. Cain's office. The staff are very pleasant and nice, they always have something nice to say. My treatment was done perfectly without any complications. I went from having no confidence in my smile to having too much! We were referred to Dr. Cain by our kids' dentist, Dr. Huang, at Kid's Dental World, for orthodontic care. Everyone has been super friendly and informative from the jump. At the initial consultation appt (which was free, unlike other orthodontic offices), front office staff gave us a tour of the office and introduced us to all the technicians, hygienists and the doc. Additionally, Dr. Cain and the front office reps always make sure to thoroughly inform us of our out of pocket costs before scheduling a procedure (that's INTEGRITY and NO SURPRISES). My son was not quite 8 when he got his braces. He had a severe protrusion of his front teeth which affected his speech and appearance. He is now 9 1/2 and just had his braces removed. Ok so this is my first yelp and I just had to! I spent a year going to 8 different consults before picking dr Cain ! I cannot express how grateful I am because he was my eighth consult and I knew after my appointment this office would be my choice! I see so many of my friends now getting braces as adults and going thru hell with their orthodontist and not understanding their process. I can ask a million questions but never have to because my process is explained every appointment in detail , every change made every wire, springs, whatever goes in I am in full knowledge! And a big thing for me is time because my work hours ! I can go in on my break and know I will be called in witching 5 min and be out in the time given ! Love it !!!! I applied for a job and and got an interview,and was honest when answering questions. I got a call week later which was Friday to come in on Tuesday for a working interview. 8-12. I arrived on time and started learning as he was late with traffic. As soon as he came in he asked the main front office /Manager to come into his office then he asked me to come back..he proceeded to tell me that they tried calling me and emailed me. No missed calls (as I picked up when they called Friday. So one call from the office) and no emails. He then informed me the position was filled. I was thinking really? I mean your office obviously doesn't know cause they called me to come in which had to be your pick to begin with,and a second girl for the position is there with me on the same working interview. Ok... So I was open and honest with them about my schedule and how my son's daycare has closed 2x on waiting for childrens covid results. I had to be honest especially in the times we live. I would think an employer would appreciate that kind of honest character. Especially when it comes to patients. Idk why he lied,but to insult me with lies to my face is outrageous. This is why people lie to get work. Especially nowadays, I definitely don't want to work for an employer who lies to you to your face. I think this speaks volumes to his character. What's worse is that I turned down an interview at another company cause they called me first for a working interview. Jobs are hard to come by with covid. Dr. Cain is such a nice guy. I had my braces removed by him in 2012 or 2013 (can't remember)but I just felt like I should have a review of my experience with him in the past. I have been a patient of Dr. Cain since 2004. I received my second set of braces as a 42 year old adult in his practice. He is absolutely the best orthodontist in the county. The customer service is exceptional and the staff have been there as long as I have been a patient and longer...no high turn over rate in staffing. That speaks volumes to me as a patient. 100% recommended!!! Here is why.... When I first met Dr Cain for a consultation he struck me as an extremely intelligent and happy individual! He recommended that we keep an eye on my daughters teeth as nothing needed to be done at that time but it looked like down the road she was going to need braces. He recommended coming in every 6 months or so for follow up and to check my daughters teeth. Dr Cain was very patient with us, answered all my questions thoroughly (and I asked a lot of questions!) and about 2 years after we met him, he said it was time. He was very detailed about exactly what he was going to be doing, how it would be done, what to expect, what not to expect, etc. His staff went over what my insurance would and would not cover and they were able to put together an extremely affordable payment plan for me throughout the course of the treatment. (for the portion that was not covered by my insurance). Most importantly him and his staff ALWAYS treated my daughter with care, and respect and always asked if she had any questions or problems. Dr Cain and his staff are EXTREMELY professional and ALWAYS happy and upbeat! I moved out of state about 6 months ago and have made trips back to CA to complete the orthodontic services for my daughter instead of completing them in our new home state. His office is extremely clean, very inviting, lots of light and full of smiling people both patients and staff! I would 100% recommend Dr Cain! read more

Dr. Cain has truly been my savior. I made a horrible mistake by getting my braces with a general dentist. I did not know the different between an orthodontist and a general dentist so it was easy for this lady to sweet talk me into getting braces with her. Little did I know that instead of getting a nicer smile and teeth, I was getting worst. I was not seeing any progress and she claimed that my teeth were not moving. I then realized she did not know what she was doing. I reached out to Dr. Cain after searching orthodontist around my area. He saved my life! Friendly and receptive as soon as you walk in through the door and always appreciating your time and schedule whenever its time for a appointment scheduling or arriving in for appointment. I have had a pleasant experience with my braces and the process of having them adjusted every time. The staff their always make sure no wires are poking at your gums or mouth and always advise tips and ways to make sure your process goes smoothly. Frustrating experience. Dr. Cain would say one thing for the treatment plan and then the staff would not be on the same page. He is old school and doesn't seem to be aware of his bias towards woman. I felt that he was not listening to my statements so I brought my husband with me and he only spoke to him through the whole appt. When I made my next appt. I was told that I had to schedule it for a time that was convenient for my husband and that he was to come with me! Are you kidding me? Completely inappropriate and they don't get that this isn't ok. I feel for the females that work there. Their reasoning is that the appt was more productive when my husband was with me. Of course it was to Dr. Cain, he engaged in conversation with my husband while completely ignoring what I had to say. My husband was furious with him.
