Cristie the office manager is unempathic. She is very dismissive and is passive aggressive will not be continuing treatment. Quality and the standards are not any where near professional. This place just wants your money. read more

Such an awesome and amazing team!!! I had a very difficult case, which many had said would require having jaw surgery. Dr. Sheffield and his team found a way to correct the issues while making it so I did not have to have the surgery. They also make you feel comfortable while letting you know what to expect from each appointment, why and where they are moving brackets or changing wires so you understand what is happening to your teeth and so much more. I am lucky to have found such an amazing team to work on giving me the smile I've always wanted! I highly recommend this group to any one who is thinking of getting the smile they've been searching for. They are a very knowledgeable team who will work to find solutions to what you are looking for!! read more

Dr. Sheffield provided me with very valuable advice today during my free evaluation, even though I won't be proceeding with orthodontic treatment at his clinic due to the complexities caused by my previous doctor. His entire team--including the photographer, assistant, and front desk staff--was exceptionally professional and helpful. The clinic's modern and advanced equipment, along with its well-designed office setting, made a great impression. Compared to my previous orthodontic experiences, there was almost zero discomfort during the X-ray, photography, and exam phases, which was truly amazing. read more

Best place to get your braces or Invisalign . I have had braces in high school but didn't get the result that I wanted . I was very confused as to where I should get my braces . I came across Sheffield orthodontics on Yelp . I went to couple other ones for consultation and what made me choose Sheffield orthodontics is that they have very nice workers there , my favorite is Lauren who works in the front . She is always smiling and welcomes people . She is very calm and helpful whenever I have some question . Dr Robert obviously is good and his work says it all . He worked very good on my teeth and always explained me the procedure in laymen's term . The Antioch staff are the best ! The prices are reasonable compared to other places with A1 service . read more

We were very happy with our visit to Dr. Sheffield's office. At our initial consultation, Dr. Sheffield took a lot of time addressing our questions and concerns. The office was very clean and seemed to run efficiently. Kristi at the front desk was very friendly. She was helpful and patient while trying to accomodate our son's school and football schedule with his appointment. Jenna was also great when it came to answering our questions and coordinating appointments between Dr Sheffield's office and the oral surgeon. Their office made us very comfortable in our decision to move forward with our son's treatment! read more

Dr. Rob is AMAZING!! We had a horrible experience with a different Ortho in town. My son had braces on for 9mo before coming here. Dr Rob switched out his old braces for new Damon braces which made a huge difference and didn't cause pain like the old ones. He also cut down the time left by a couple of months. My son also sees Kristina (Ortho assistant) who is also wonderful with children who have anxiety. read more

Rob and his team are AMAZING! They are all so kind, make you feel welcomed, comfortable and do such great work!!!

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Rob and crew and it has been nothing but a GREAT experience. Dr. Rob explains everything to the parents so that you feel very comfortable about handing your child over. The patient and their family is their #1 priority and it shows. Everyone is so friendly and they make you feel very welcome. read more

Dr Sheffield was one of a number of dentists/orthodontists I went to for a free ortho consultation. Easy parking, very nice office, quiet and relaxed. Definitely A+ for atmosphere, which I think is important in a dental office. I waited for about 10 minutes before being taken to a room. A woman named Melinda helped me and she was sooo helpful and nice. She told me that my insurance wouldn't cover braces (which I knew ahead of time) and when I asked her about insurance companies in general, she said she works with them and if I ever had any questions, even if I decided not to use Dr Sheffield, to give her a call. Dr Sheffield was running a little late so I waited a little more. Not too long though. He came in and was also friendly and unintimidating. He examined my teeth, gave me a mirror and explained what he recommended. And here's where he raised himself a notch above the other consults. He told that what he recommended as far as orthodontics went (which was identical to what the other consults recommended) would fix most of my problem, but not 100%. Nobody else said that. He went on to say that it's possible that veneers (something he doesn't do but which my regular dentist does) might be a better option for me and that he would call my dentist to give him a heads up that we discussed this. I was majorly impressed by that degree of honesty. I think it's extremely important to have a dentist/orthodontist that you can really trust, and for that reason alone, I would go with Dr Sheffield. The quote I got was very reasonable. It was actually in the low range of the various estimates I received. So big plus there too! read more

I am a patient at Dr. Sheffield's Orthodontics and i've only been in braces for about 3 months now. When i got my first alignment i had some problems with poking wires and i needed to get in for an appointment ASAP cause i was leaving for a vacation that week! EEEEK! But that was no problem for them. They got me into an appointment that day and would not let me leave until they knew i was comfortable and did not have anymore poking wires. Also, i wanted to say the receptionist there are wonderful. They are always so full of life and i love how involved they are with you. For Example: Rebekah sent me a note from the office saying that she hopes i had a wonderful vacation and wished me an early birthday (: It made my day to know that she took a few moments out of her day to write that to me. I would HIGHLY recommend going to them if you want quality and fun read more

Really great team! Very professional, timely, clean, friendly, happy! It's a very tightly run ship! There are two offices, Brentwood and Antioch. I have been late to a couple of appointments and they were gracious enough to still get me in! I had to have double jaw surgery and got my braces off 9 months ago but have still be going back to tweak a few things and get the JUST RIGHT. He didn't just brush me off when I was done the team has continued working with me. I had to get a second retainer and they covered the cost! Wow. Thank you Sheffield team for making my dreams come true to get the perfect smile I feel I deserve! God Bless! read more

I recently had invisilian put on. I've had nothing but a good experience from start to finish. The entire staff is very friendly. On my most recent visit, I was greeted by Filicia who was extremely professional. She walked me through the entire process. Dr. Robert Sheffield is very personable and has a good mannerism with the treatment. In addition to myself, I have two other teenage children who see him. They have nothing but nice things to say. Overall, a great place to have your orthodontic work done. read more

Highly disappointed in this office. Called on 2/22/22, and asked if they were taking in new patients. Was told they were. However, the front desk girl was rude and not helpful. I told her I just moved to Brentwood and was looking into have Invisalign done. She asked if I was still in treatment. I said no but I have a treatment but it was not dyer. I had no cavities but crowns were recommended for the FUTURE if needed. The front desk girl IMMEDIATELY shut me down and said You CANNOT do Invisalign unless all treatment was done. I was shocked and repeated to her that it was not NEEDED. However she said "Bye" and hung up the phone. If front desk service was like this, I can only imagine how the back office end treats patients. I assume they are doing good business so therefore new patients are not needed. Nor being helpful or friendly is necessary. I wish the best for this dental office and hopefully their customer service will get better. read more

My sister went in for treatment, then my brother, then me, then me AGAIN! It's a family affair here :) The whole staff here is so wonderful sometimes you forget what they're doing in that office is probably going to cause a bit of discomfort. After my first treatment I was extremely pleased with the results but failed to wear my retainer so only had my self to blame when my teeth began to shift. Dr. Rob worked with me and weighed several options until we came to the best solution for me to be happy with the results and the price tag. Gorgeous new office and all of the latest technology to make this sometimes painful process as painless as possible. read more

I've been under Dr.Sheffield & staff care for my Orthodontic treatments for over a year now. My mother & I went for 2nd opinion due to me needing double surgery to correct my underbite & we found Dr. Sheffield & we've made the right decision. We felt very comfortable & very welcome at my first consultation & everything was fully explained, from treatment, what to expect, financial aspects & the scheduled surgery. Dr. Sheffield & the Kaiser surgeon have been in contact about the surgery & we were informed about the pre op, during & post op procedure. Dr. Sheffield & his staff are very kind warm people that really care about their patients. I had my surgery at Kaiser Oakland on June 15,2016 & I couldn't be happier w/ my new smile. It gave me an added boost on my confidence & it's because I knew I was in good hands & well taken care of both by Dr. Sheffield, his staff & the Kaiser staff. I still have my braces & hope to be out of it sooner or before I graduate as a senior in high school next year 2017 & in time before I report for Basic Military Training in the Air Force July 5, 2017. Overall, Dr. Sheffield & his staff treats their patients very special & they do a lot for the community of Brentwood. I always look forward to my Ortho appointments with them. Thank you Dr.Sheffield & staff . p.s. My mom guided & helped me in writing this review. read more

Going into my Senior year of high school with Invisalign was nerve-wracking, but Dr. Sheffield and his staff made my experience positive and encouraging. Every staff member is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about giving you a great smile. Dr. Sheffield explained every step of my treatment to me in detail, answered any questions that I had, and prioritized my comfort. I never had to wait more than fifteen minutes before being seen at an appointment and any emergencies I had with my Invisalign trays were addressed as soon as possible, even without an appointment. I've been out of my Invisalign and in retainers for six months, and Dr. Sheffield still gives me as much attention as day 1. Although his offices seem to cater primarily to children, I never felt uncomfortable or out of place at my appointments. I'd recommend him for patients of all ages. Thank you for my smile, Dr. Sheffield. read more
