Such an awesome and amazing team!!! I had a very difficult case, which many had said would require having jaw surgery. Dr. Sheffield and his team found a way to correct the issues while making it so I did not have to have the surgery. Best place to get your braces or Invisalign . I have had braces in high school but didn't get the result that I wanted . I was very confused as to where I should get my braces . I came across Sheffield orthodontics on Yelp . I went to couple other ones for consultation and what made me choose Sheffield orthodontics is that they have very nice workers there , my favorite is Lauren who works in the front . She is always smiling and welcomes people . She is very calm and helpful whenever I have some question . Dr Robert obviously is good and his work says it all . He worked very good on my teeth and always explained me the procedure in laymen's term . The Antioch staff are the best ! Dr Sheffield was one of a number of dentists/orthodontists I went to for a free ortho consultation. Easy parking, very nice office, quiet and relaxed. Definitely A+ for atmosphere, which I think is important in a dental office. I waited for about 10 minutes before being taken to a room. A woman named Melinda helped me and she was sooo helpful and nice. She told me that my insurance wouldn't cover braces (which I knew ahead of time) and when I asked her about insurance companies in general, she said she works with them and if I ever had any questions, even if I decided not to use Dr Sheffield, to give her a call. Dr Sheffield was running a little late so I waited a little more. Not too long though. He came in and was also friendly and unintimidating. He examined my teeth, gave me a mirror and explained what he recommended. And here's where he raised himself a notch above the other consults. He told that what he recommended as far as orthodontics went (which was identical to what the other consults recommended) would fix most of my problem, but not 100%. Nobody else said that. He went on to say that it's possible that veneers (something he doesn't do but which my regular dentist does) might be a better option for me and that he would call my dentist to give him a heads up that we discussed this. I was majorly impressed by that degree of honesty. I think it's extremely important to have a dentist/orthodontist that you can really trust, and for that reason alone, I would go with Dr Sheffield. The quote I got was very reasonable. It was actually in the low range of the various estimates I received. So big plus there too! read more

I am a patient at Dr. Sheffield's Orthodontics and i've only been in braces for about 3 months now. When i got my first alignment i had some problems with poking wires and i needed to get in for an appointment ASAP cause i was leaving for a vacation that week! EEEEK! But that was no problem for them. They got me into an appointment that day and would not let me leave until they knew i was comfortable and did not have anymore poking wires. I have been late to a couple of appointments and they were gracious enough to still get me in! Highly disappointed in this office. Called on 2/22/22, and asked if they were taking in new patients. Was told they were. However, the front desk girl was rude and not helpful. I told her I just moved to Brentwood and was looking into have Invisalign done. She asked if I was still in treatment. I said no but I have a treatment but it was not dyer. I had no cavities but crowns were recommended for the FUTURE if needed. The front desk girl IMMEDIATELY shut me down and said You CANNOT do Invisalign unless all treatment was done. I was shocked and repeated to her that it was not NEEDED. However she said "Bye" and hung up the phone. If front desk service was like this, I can only imagine how the back office end treats patients. I assume they are doing good business so therefore new patients are not needed. Nor being helpful or friendly is necessary. I wish the best for this dental office and hopefully their customer service will get better. read more

My sister went in for treatment, then my brother, then me, then me AGAIN! It's a family affair here :) The whole staff here is so wonderful sometimes you forget what they're doing in that office is probably going to cause a bit of discomfort. After my first treatment I was extremely pleased with the results but failed to wear my retainer so only had my self to blame when my teeth began to shift. My mother & I went for 2nd opinion due to me needing double surgery to correct my underbite & we found Dr. Sheffield & we've made the right decision. Going into my Senior year of high school with Invisalign was nerve-wracking, but Dr. Sheffield and his staff made my experience positive and encouraging. Every staff member is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about giving you a great smile. Dr. Sheffield explained every step of my treatment to me in detail, answered any questions that I had, and prioritized my comfort. I never had to wait more than fifteen minutes before being seen at an appointment and any emergencies I had with my Invisalign trays were addressed as soon as possible, even without an appointment. I've been out of my Invisalign and in retainers for six months, and Dr. Sheffield still gives me as much attention as day 1. Although his offices seem to cater primarily to children, I never felt uncomfortable or out of place at my appointments. I'd recommend him for patients of all ages.
