Came here with my close friend to sit and catch up on life. We arrived 10am on a Saturday. Already the outside seating was full. We were able to get a seat inside towards the back, near the fan. Thank goodness we were near the fan because it was hot outside that day. I ordered the green machine smoothie and my friend got glowing berry smoothie. Ten dollars each. The cafe offered a good atmosphere to talk. It wasn't noisy. Although the tables were close to each other, I couldn't hear the conversation of the girls next to us. Although we didnt ordered food, we saw other people's plates, and the food looks good! We enjoyed our visit and definitely will be back to order a meal next time. read more

We were visiting the area and was looking for vegan options, this place had an entire section of vegan food so we decided to try it, however we were there on Sunday and they have weekend menu which didn't had all the vegan options we were hoping for - very limited options - we ordered tofu scramble and they made us a sandwich - didn't really like the tofu scramble but sandwich was okay. Also got a soy milk coffee but that wasn't good as well. I'm just glad they were able to accommodate. Hope they will add some more vegan options on weekend menu as well. Cute place. read more

We waited about 25 minutes before anyone came to take our order, followed by another 30-minute wait for our food. We eventually had to go back inside to ask for our check because no one came by to check on us. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and inattentive throughout our visit. The food was also quite bland and didn't meet our expectations. Overall, it wasn't a great experience, and I wouldn't come back. read more

A fun spot for breakfast and people watching in the West Village -- they have a great outdoor patio with seats facing the sidewalk. It's a short walk from the West Side Highway and other Chelsea and West Village spots! The service here is really great, the waiters are friendly and have a great sense of humor. The Hot Chocolate here was DELICIOUS! We got a French Toast and Omelette to share and both were yummy -- portion sizes were great to share, we finished every bite! read more

Stumbled upon this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. It's a cute little café shop. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for four people which was completely fine. It's definitely located in a small area so you have to be mindful that you're probably going to have to wait a little bit. However, the service was great! The servers were super sweet and a tentative. We have two pancakes short stacks and a milk way sandwich. Everything was flavorful! The pancakes were super soft and fluffy. The fruit was fresh. We honestly loved the food and would go back! You also have to try their homemade potatoes. Those were so delicious!! For drinks, we had the espresso, island sunrise, Nutter Butter and the fresh Beet and go! We loved our smoothies. The island sunrise is delicious and I would highly recommend! the peanut butter was good however it was a little bit on the thicker side. read more

After a quick search on TikTok we were sold on Cafe Luna. Let me tell you..... the place is small but don't let the size fool you! They are on point! I got a brunch burger and baby got the BEC bacon egg and cheese waffle sandwich. The food was amazing. In addition they have a nice menu deal which offers a mimosa or Bellini for about $25. Def 10/10! read more

Affordable brunch spot with ok options. Portions are smaller than expected, but with the price, you can't complain! Will say that everything about this place is ok - Service was quite slow and we had to really track our server down, asking multiple times for the same thing. Our server was friendly though, and it was busy. read more

Stopped in with a girl friend on a Saturday morning around 10:15 and we were able to be seated immediately. I thought it would be more coffee-shop vibes but it definitely is more of a sit down breakfast place, meaning you don't order at the counter. I got an iced latte with coconut milk (they had a great selection of non-dairy milks) and one of their chocolate croissants fresh out of the oven. My friend had one of their smoothies (they have a huge list of smoothies randomly...takes up almost half a page of their two page menu). Croissant was very good, smoothies are pretty small for the price but my friend enjoyed. Good. easy place to pop in, the food coming out of the kitchen looked tasty and they have vegan sausage which I love to see on a menu. By the time we left at 11:15 it was packed. Recommend going early if you want a seat inside. Service is pretty slow for such a small spot so don't plan to be in a rush. read more

Unusual lattes and smoothies. Enjoyed the baklava latte (with pistachio flavor and honey) + cinnamon scone. Very friendly server

Really good and fresh pastries. I tried the chocolate chip cookies, scones and pistachio croissant- all of them were really good.

The smoothie i got tasted delicious but it was weirdly really airy and foamy? Did not taste like a $12 smoothie. The place was cute and small but the service was pretty slow. I walked in to grab a quick drink not realizing it looked more like a sit down place. The servers did not have the friendliest attitude but they weren't rude either. The food did look delicious when i was waiting for my drink. Maybe I will come back to taste the food and drink other than smoothies. read more

In all honesty I didn't enjoy my experience here. The service was ok, the food was overhyped, and the dining area is extremely cramped. Details will be given. I found this place on tiktok last minute and it felt as if I was bamboozled. The presentation of the food was great though but the taste wasn't anything special except for maybe the omelette. Food: French Toast [4/5]: It was good. Topped with the syrup was even better. But it wasn't the best thing in the world. The taste didn't stand out to other french toast i've had. I wouldn't go crazy over it. Blueberry pancakes w/ turkey bacon [3/5]: The pancakes didn't taste special. They weren't nasty but they weren't really that good. It tasted frozen. It wasn't since we can see them make everything but it wasn't all that good. The bacon was good though. Omelette (customized -- spinach, green and red peppers, onions, and Swiss cheese) [5/5]: This was outstanding. It's big and comes with sides as well. It's really cheesy too if you're looking for a cheese pull. It was phenomenal highly recommended. Apple cinnamon iced chai [0/5]: This was disgusting. I would 100% ask if there are options to sub the milk with because it had absolutely no taste. It felt like I was drinking cinnamon water. Other than the cold foam it's flavorless and could use some type of cream or different milk substitute. Service [2/5]: The service was ok.. There was 1 person in charge of taking orders, completing transactions, bussing tables, and serving orders. Everyone else is cooking. You can tell he was stressed because he had customers yelling at him, people waiting to be sat, a line outside the door, doordashers shoving their phones in his face while also completing transactions all at once. He seemed a bit annoyed at times but it's understandable as to why he felt that way. Atmosphere [2/5]: It was horrible. It's cramped for people dining inside. Extremely small and boxy with no sense of privacy it's like you can hear the next persons conversation or hear them chewing. Times where you might accidentally bump into someone's table while getting up. TLDR; Wouldn't come back -- looks can most definitely be deceiving. Everything was mediocre except for the omelette. read more

This place was our breakfast stop this Oct Saturday. We reached early and got a seat outdoors facing the NY streets. A very NewYorky thing to do - eating your breakfast right next to folks walking their dogs!!! Coffee was good - brewed fresh and hot, came with a mini-biscotti. Tofu scramble and milky-way-chicken sandwich were good and made fresh. Service was quick attentive and with a smile. They have weekend brunch menu - entree and a coffee/tea drink. Overall a good experience! read more

Food was good and good presentation. Smoothies were good and flavorful. Small, tight fit little area with baristas and servers complaining right in the middle of it all. It's probably just a NY thing, but no personality, no hospitality, couldn't care less about the customer, we were just an inconvenience to their job. read more

Perfect example of a "mid" restaurant. Not great, but not terrible either. Surprisingly busy on the weekends for such a meh brunch place, the service starts lacking right around 11:30 AM. Nothing wrong with the servers, I could tell they were trying their best, but they are severely understaffed (based on the weekend brunch times only). I ordered the Huevo Ranchero Burrito and it was pretty disappointing but at least it wasn't inedible. Plus, their brunch deal of an entree + a mimosa/bellini/red or white sangria is only $23.95 together, which is a great deal so there's that to consider. The interior is cute and welcoming, but I probably wouldn't come back based on the food and service. There's plenty of better brunch/lunch places in NYC, trust me!! read more

Spoke to an old Chinese customer who said this location was the old Kam which decided to close due to rent increase. The new owner has done a good job with the renovation, bright, modern and clean. Both the hot food and bakery were better than the old Kam Boat, may be less variety (e.g. they don't have the Green bean with sea weed dessert drink). They take credit card but with 3.5% surcharge. Good to have another alternative eatery in Chinatown. read more

Such a cute spot in the West Village, but sadly feel that the food is severely overpriced for the quality. They have a brunch prix fixe menu (around $21 I believe), but somehow my bill ended up being closer to $30. Shakshuka was unremarkable. Arrived cold and it tasted like I was eating jarred tomato sauce and eggs. Matcha Rose latte tasted more like sweet rose milk than anything else. I think there are definitely better options for brunch, but I'd be willing to give their pastries a try next time I'm in the area. read more

came on a long weekend after a gorgeous run on the west side highway! was catching up with my girl friends which this is the perfect spot to do so theres a whole smoothy part of the menu so we all got a smoothie - i enjoyed my friend's smoothies more than my own. i got the mango madness and it was a little too heavy on the turmeric i could barely taste any mango flavor. for mains we got the huevos rancheros burrito - very dry and soggy. had to ask for some hot sauce to add flavor to this - wasnt my favorite plus the side of potatoes was so small - only 7 pieces?! second dish we got to share was the waffle which was SO good - perfect texture and had a savory component. would come back just to order this!! our servers were beyond kind and helpful - would come back but be cautious of what i order read more

Great café. EXCELLENT service. I've stopped into Café Luna twice now, both times as a hot, exhausted, and frazzled tourist. The first time, I popped in because my phone was almost dead. Not only did the staff get me situated at a table near an outlet, but they dug up a charger for me to borrow when I realized I'd forgotten mine. When I was visiting New York a few months later, we happened to be passing by, and remembering how kind everyone had been the 1st time, we decided to stop in again. The staff was just as welcoming, and remembered me from the first visit. It was a wonderfully peaceful moment in an otherwise exhausting day! The food and drinks were delicious both times, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had some gluten-free bakery options. This is such a little hidden treasure. Even if the food hadn't been great (which is was!), I would still give them 5 stars for being such wonderful hosts. read more

Popped in here bc it was freezing outside. Extremely small, you can order at counter or have a seat and be served

Came here this afternoon for a smoothie and was deciding between the one with banana and peanut butter and the one with dates and banana. They were out of dates sadly so I got the banana/pb one. It's super good but a little watery. Definitely the right flavor though. They could probably stand to thicken them up just a little bit because it looks like a chai tea latte in a cup (consistency wise). The server was super personable! read more

It's not easy to find a true breakfast place with healthy options in Manhattan. Everywhere else was either a bagel place or breakfast was an afterthought with a limited menu. Thankfully, we found this gem with a plan to walk the High Line afterward. My wife had the Over the Moon with egg whites, I had The Galaxy (OMG!) and our daughter had The Eclipse. All were excellent and highly recommended!! If you're anywhere near the West Village or Meat Packing District, this place can't be beat! Food overall was good, but they skimped out on ingredients. The amount of avocado on my vegan BLT with avocado was embarrassing, they didn't even put 1/4 of an avocado. In a neighborhood with caviar bars it was a joy on a cold day to come into cozy Cafe Luna, get a warm greeting and a wonderful lunch. They have smoothies, but we were looking for more substantial stuff. First delight: I ordered tea and hot a pretty little pot and generous cup with a mini biscotto. Frittata of the day was in a small iron pan-- just the right size--and came with a salad with very well-balanced dressing and perfectly ripe avocado. My partner had one of their many hot sandwiches with roast potatoes. Pastries looked great but they'll have to wait for another time. read more
