I'm sure that everyone craved for a Cubano when it introduced itself through Jon Favreaus's film, Chef. I'm sure I did. I've never tried a Cubano before but the film sold it so well that I got so curious. I heard that a restaurant down in the South offered a Cubano that was worth a try and I decided that I wanted to try it out. Man, oh man, was I not disappointed. I was incredibly satisfied, actually. When the Classic Cubano was put in front of me, I was so ready to demolish it, manners be damned! The image of the layers of pork, cheese, jalapeno, and ham together were enough to satisfy my craving but of course, nothing beats the taste. The pork may taste dry at first but then when you continue to bite in and taste the rest, you realize why it's the way it is. The last kick of jalapeno definitely brought it home. It was everything I hoped to be and then some. The next I tasted was another burger, but this time it was two grilled cheese sandwiches with a beef patty between it.
