The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I feel some of the staff could improve their attention. There were a couple barista girls that although very friendly got two of my orders wrong in a row which I didn't mind the first time but once again right after was like if they had completely ignored what I wanted even though clearly asked in Spanish. I recommend the spot though, one of the best cafes in this area.

But with a place like Plaza San Jacinto there's no complaints because it's meant for you to be up & exploring. I had the frozen cappuccino, whip cream, sprinkles & it was seriously so delicious. It was perfect for a hot day. They offered mocha, latte, cafe americano, and much more. I had one of their chocolate chip muffins, which I loved. The lady who attended us was super nice and patient when trying to give me the description of the drinks that were available. I know what coffee spot to come visit when I return!

The owner was still with us in those years and he would make his special coffees in the morning and then roast in the afternoon. Such a nice person. His daughter, then in her teens I think, at the time, spitting image of Salma Hayek, is now the dueña of this family business I believe. Wonderful family. Wonderful people. Highly highly recommended.

Looking around, its a casual spot that feels well loved. Photos of babies and other personal touches, along with just a large collection of coffee roasting/grinding machines lined the walls. We were provided menus and our waiter didn't speak English but we still got by with our minimal Spanish. I didn't pick up any hints of disdain for our lack of local language/customs. I ordered the special coffee and the chilaquiles with green salsa and chicharron de la ramos. The coffee was really good, smooth, rich, and no need to add sugar to fight any hints of bitterness. The chilaquiles were also amazing, the salsa verde was pleasantly spicy and the chicharron was so light and crisp. It made for a wonderful start to my morning and it was a large portion (I couldn't finish and got the rest to go). Paying was also easy, they accept card so just tap and go essentially. Highly recommend this spot as a great loal breakfast stop. Seemed to be a local favorite and didn't spot any other obvious tourists while we were here. Food was spectacular and prices were great for the amount of food we have.

The place seemed fairly busy, bit it was no problem at all getting a table. Thankfully they had a menu in English, which helped us decide on something that we were a little bit familiar with. I ordered two breaded tacos with cheese which came with guacamole sauce and onions. As usual I pushed the onions to the side. My friend got four chicken flautas with green sauce, and it looked so delicious. I was a little envious for those flautas, and I kind-of had remorse for what I ordered. My two tacos were good, bit not as good as the flautas. I also ordered an orange drink called maranjada, and she got a freshly squeezed lemonade. All-in-all we had a fine lunch here.
