Great little cafe for brunch! Came here over the weekend and we were able to get a spot for 2 around 11am without a reservation with no problems. We both had the egg scrambles. Mine was was a kind of avocado salsa with avocado, cherry tomatoes and onions. It was really delicious and really filling. I also had a hot chocolate which had so many colorful marshmallows in it. The hot chocolate made my day :) Prices and portions are reasonable! I would definitely come back here for brunch again. More so just to get another hot chocolate ;) read more

Came here with the new community manager in Copenhagen to this newly open place at Nørrebro. Just as its brother and sister Café Taxa and Café Pixie they have a genuine connection to their names as Auto use to be and old autoshop. They really have managed to capture the "grease lightning" feeling without crossing over to be a diner. Feels genuine and thought-through!! The lunch menu looked fantastic and there was many different types of food to choose from, as traditional danish eggcake We had the ceasar salad and for a change there were chunks of fried chicken (with skin) instead of the common skinless fillet. The dressing could have been a real ceasar salad dressing and not seasoned mayonnaise as I believe it was. I love to come back as the service was really good and then I shall try the eggcake and hopefully 5'star it! read more

Ok so it's no surprise that Copenhagen has expensive food... But 200ddk for breakfast sure was too expensive in my books! We arrived around 10:30am and missed the smaller 'cheaper' breakfast, so we had to order the other offerings at 95ddk. I had the eggs benedict and my husband had something else that I can't remember what it's called ha. A latte was 30ddk, which I think is average around the city. The amount of food you get is alright, but coming from Canada and big portions of food we felt a bit ripped off. Even some roasted potatoes on the side would've been nice. I mean maybe food is super expensive because everything is imported?? The food is quite good though! I don't want to say anything bad about that bit.. I just wish there was a bit more bang for your buck that's all. The service was meh. There was only once waitress when we arrived and she was pretty frazzled. I noticed they had a wifi connection and since they were a 'Cafe' I asked if I could join. She wouldn't give me the password, but did enter it in my phone. A bit annoying actually, but maybe I wasn't supposed to join who knows. It took forever to take our order and a good 15 mins for the food. read more

Came here for a late dinner on my first night of a trip to Copenhagen. This little cafe is so adorable at night, and felt very "hygge" - at least to what my understanding of hygge is as an American. The place is cozy and relaxed with candlelit tables and comfortable benches, and extremely friendly service. For 2 people we ordered 3 items off the "snacks" section of the menu - smoked chicken wings, asparagus with cream, and a ham charcuterie board - plenty of food for 2 people. Everything was super tasty, but the best thing we ordered were 2 homemade lemonades - one ginger and one mint. Never have I had a lemonade drink better tasting than this! Hot chocolate for dessert was delicious as well. Overall - wonderful service, delicious food, best lemonade on earth, and adorable cozy atmosphere. read more

Lovely cafe perfect for meeting friends or cozying up with a good book. I came here for lunch with a good friend of mine and we loved the atmosphere. I ordered the chèvre salad, my friend got one of the avocado toasts, and we shared an order of fries. I enjoyed the salad but it was overdressed and the lettuce got very soggy so I couldn't really finish it. My friend liked her avocado toast and we both really loved the fries with basil aoli. 10-15 mins away from forum metro, this cafe is pretty spacious. Menu was written in both Danish and English. Yay! The tables get filled pretty quickly, we were lucky to get the last table when we got there at 2pm. My cappuccino was nice and strong. I ordered baked goats cheese and lettuce with caramel hazelnut sauce on toast. I didn't expect a full small rind of goats cheese would come out, but it did. It was super delicious! Really glad I ordered it. The baked lettuce was yum and gave the food a taste of freshness to balance the goats cheese. Would definitely ordered this again. read more

While this is a cute "hygge" location when you miraculously find seating inside, their brunch is overhyped and their famous lemonade even more so. Service: like Nadia said, it really did take them a lifetime to serve a single menu. They told me to seat myself and they'd be right over, but 10 minutes later, I had to wave someone over and ask for a menu. They're incredibly understaffed, maybe 3 servers total for both indoor and outdoor seating. Price & Food: I came for lunch, and all options were at least 95kr. I got one of their "warm" sandwiches, except nothing about it was warm. It's a relatively small portion, so I left content, but not full. Expect snacking later. The only good thing is they're really generous with their avocado. I had enough avocado for two sandwiches! But for ~$16 USD, I could make 20 warm sandwiches. Drinks: For ~$7 USD, their mint lemonade wasn't anything special. It was like sparkling mint infused water. read more

For once, I was going for brunch. I usually enjoy making brunch myself at home, but this time I was gonna try it somewhere else. My and my friends have walked past this café quite a few times, and finally decided on trying it. I ordered a coffee while I waited my friends to show up (the only way I could reserve a table, so it had to be that way). When everyone had arrived, we all decided to order the standard brunch. Brunch was 130 kr (roughly 20 US dollars) with no drinks on the side. If you're doing the normal brunch procedure you'd order a glass of juice and a coffee on the side. That would put the price of your brunch to about 200 kr (30 $) and that is pretty expensive. We tried the brunch and all the elements on the platter was good. Scrambled eggs was nice and not the processed kind, and the bacon was nicely fried and crispy. Youghurt was pretty good as well (pretty hard to screw that up though) and the grapes and melon on the plate was also nice. The bread which came along was good as well. All in all pretty good flavors and ingredients. The brunch delivers, but it is pretty expensive if you ask me. To get a 5-star rating when you're asking that price, you're gonna have to deliver something more. read more

Why was there so much lettuce in my caesar salad and why did we have to wait more than half and hour to even get to see the menu? When I have to ask questions like this, it's just not good enough. Also, caesar salads can be done in lots of ways; this one was "I have no patience for my sidegig as a chef"-way in that it tasted pretty bland and was honestly filled with salad leaves. Some chicken, a little bit of tomato, few croutons, very little cheese and a thousand salad leaves. I could make a better caesar salad at home with my eyes closed and my arms missing. The wine was good. There you go. But why does it take half an hour to give us a menu? I don't understand. It's just a menu. It can't be that heavy. read more

There's a reason Cafe Auto is always full on the weekends: it's cozy, charming, and budget-friendly. They have a morning special before 10.00 where you can get a breakfast plate for 65 DKK, but what I like about the morning menu is that you can order individual things, if you're not a fan of the 'little bit of everything' platter. For example: a large bowl of skyr with halvtorn, for a reasonable 55 DKK, and the røræg with pico de gallo, (85 DKK) which is my personal favorite! A generous serving of scrambled eggs with slices of avocado, a fresh pico de gallo, and warm rye bread. Paired with coffee and it's a nice way to wake up. The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was slightly sleepy - it wasn't too loud or crazy for a Sunday morning, which was perfect. read more

Good solid hyggelig cafe. Dropped in for dinner one cold fall Friday night. We were lucky to be seated right away. Good atmosphere indoors with lots of candles; I bike by on my way to work and there is lots of nice outdoor seating as well. They have basic food options like steak & fries, burgers and chili. I loved the chili which was meaty and a little spicy perfectly balanced with creme fraiche and avocado. Two entrees with 2 beers came to about 330 DKK (~$50). Not really something that is super unique, but definitely a solid option and I look forward to trying their brunch sitting outside on a warmer day. read more

I really love this cozy little cafe. It is so Norrebro and a great representation of the area. It has a neighborhood feeling with really sweet servers and good food! I had the Croque MAdame, but there were so many yummy options, I can't wait to try more. I recommend this to anyone close by needing a good place for lunch to catch up with friends. read more

This café is a really nice café at a good location! The coffee was delicious and so was the club sandwich that I had for lunch. Staff was also super friendly and the place had a laid back atmosphere were I am sure you can enjoy studying as well as having dinner with friends. They have free wi-fi too. read more

Terrible service, bad food. I live around the corner, and have tried to like this place, because the location is attractive. But it is never a good experience. Two days ago we waited forever before someone approached us. We were quite hungry, and asked the waitress for a little bit of bread to start with. She could not do that, because they dont have a bread basket on the menu (please, teach your servers simple rules about thinking on your feet, and being of service to customers, it is their job!) And, they were out of the steak tartare - again (it is a tiny menu, they should just remove this item.) Salads are poor, food is lacking. I have tried this place about 5 times, and have always said never again. This time my boyfriend and I agreed. NEVER again. There are plenty of other places in the area! read more
