    Delicious signature dish

Buzzing brunch/lunch restaurant. Went on a sunny Sunday in June as the place was packed. All the dishes looked really nice with a healthy touch. Can recommend it all.

Samme tallerkener som jeg har derhjemme! Men ikke samme kartoffelmad, som jeg kan lave derhjemme dog.

I'd just had one of those days. One where you don't really know why, but everyone bothers the shit out of you. Everyone just seems to talk such bs (which I am allergic to, always) and the world doesn't care about you, but you don't care about the world either. So I walked into Far's dreng (which is grammatically incorrect by the way; in Denmark you do not use an apostrophe when using genitive) feeling spiteful and plain fatigued. But then it changed. They served me potato on bread and it was exactly what I needed. But I would've still been a little down, had it not been for the service. The girl bringing me the food was so sweet in that honest and real way, and the lady upstairs taking the order had her son with her tasting the carrot juice. It seemed like a family-driven place that afternoon even though it probably isn't. That closeness, combined with the excellent food, made Fars dreng (just correcting the grammar there) the very right choice for me that afternoon. Thank you, good folks!

    Hangover brunch og matcha latte

At first I was in doubt about this place considering most people rated it low because of bad service and such, but we came here on a Sunday morning, hungry after doing some photowalk in a cold Copenhagen morning and our stomach sac just demanded to be fed immediately. The location can't be easier - just a stone's throw from Kongens Nytorv metro, so it's very central, just in case you are in the area and need brunch stat. We ordered hangover plate (toasted rye bread, gooey sunny side up, chorizo and avocado - I wanted mine without avocado, but they made a mistake and put on both, oh well - that's a fail, but fortunately not an acute one since I'm actually ok with avocado) and I had matcha latte with soya latte in bowl (that was very good) and a waffle as dessert. The hangover plate was great!! I have always been skeptical toward rye bread in the span of 10 years I have been living in Denmark, but the toasted version actually tasted really crunchy and good. Topped with spicy chorizo, ketchup, avocado and egg, they were extremely tasty!! The waffle was to die for, seriously - how can I make this myself? I need to go back here at least for the waffle only! It's obvious that I will be back here soon-ish enough. Only one thing that was disappointing that their dankort terminal didn't work, but fortunately they accept mobilepay, so it wasn't too much of a hassle.

    Soooo good!

Birthday weekend with my dad in Copenhagen, great setting for fantastic food adventures. I had to wait for him for about 5 hours though as he was driving from my hometown. I walked around CPH without really knowing anything and stumbled upon ''Fars dreng'' which means ''Daddys boy'' and I found that very funny and thought I'd give it ago. The main down stars area was closed for a function and I was starving at this point, luckily they could squeeze me in at the counter. I ordered the most delicious horizon on rye bread with a fried egg on top with some fresh orange juice and it was divine! Just look at the picture I uploaded it is a beautiful little dish. All in all very happy with this place and if I am ever back in CPH I will have to try it again.

Nice smørrebrød! Restaurant is located on a calm street. Nice staff that made vegan smørrebrød for us even tho it wasn't on the original menu.

Look no further than FAR's Dreng for a classic Danish brunch. Located just off the main shopping street, Strøget, this trendy place was buzzing with people and was incredibly cozy. The beers on tap were good as well as the smørrebrød.

Goat cheese, fresh thyme, tomatoes and grated cheese on top! So good!

A cozy cafe close to Kongens Nytorv with great food, atmosphere and prices. The value for money is spot on and the menu is simply good! I couldn't decide, but ended up going with the gourmet pizza of the day. The waitress was very busy but very sweet, and I really loved that they had "Copenhagen Water" on the menu for 0 kr. I can't wait to come back and try breakfast. If you want to see a typical Danish cafe by Kongens Nytorv, I suggest coming here to experience Danish hygge.

Breakfast is one of those very interesting meals of the day where there is still plenty of room to be creative. This was a great experience. I got there just as they were opening, so I was able to receive attention undisturbed. I studied the menu pretty thoroughly the night before and was not disappointed. This was probably one of the best and fulfilling breakfasts I've had in my life! (Not hyperbole.) I strongly recommend the "Datingplate" (traditional Danish breakfast). The bread was perfectly warm and quite tasty. A sunny side up egg is nothing spectacular, but combined with everything else on my plate - I was in breakfast dreamland.

Really good. The chili flakes were very nice and there was a good amount of salt. The egg was fried very nicely. The tomatoes were good, but a little too much for my liking. The leaves they used were very good. There were also some chives on top, although they didn't add much taste. The bread was traditional danish rye. Very good overall. The staff were also super friendly and helpful.

Would only recommend going here if you have tons of time to spare. Service was ridiculously slow.

Yummy brunch, but small portions! It's a cute place to sit in and I even saw some people with laptops out working.

What took down the stars, is they seem disorganized. Granted, we were there on the evening of the St. Lucia festival, so a lot of people are out and about. We sat down at a communal table, got drinks and food, and were enjoying them. A little bit later, we were asked to move. To another table. Um, no. We'd already had to move over a couple times to accommodate more people at the table. We'd been pondering having another glass, when the request to move came by. Nah, we'll settle up and go, then. Other than that, the food and wine were really great. But don't ask us to move because of your bad planning, there was still a whole other dining room that people could have been seated in.

Stepping down a few stairs into a basement space, the entire place is cozy. Greeted by friendly staff, we were seated at a long community table and served still water right away. Asking the server for recommendations, we both landed on a natural white wine for 90 krone a piece. We also ordered the khachapuri, a Georgian cheese bread dish. It came out warm and the cheese oozed out as we cut into it. Den Vandrette was the perfect snack place before dinner. With the staff being so friendly, it was a warm experience.
