Since it's located right across our hotel, Caffé Della Pizza was a great convenience for us and it so happens to be one of our tastiest meals in our Paris trip.
If you want a really good simple Italian pizza, you can get that in the "Margherita Pizza" (10.50). What really makes this a favorite is of course its bright tomato sauce, the flavor has a nice tang to it. With moderate portions of the cheese, you can see it sink within the sauce as well. The pie size was small, but it's slightly thick and chewy up to the fluffy crusted ends. My son was really happy with this pizza, it was perfect.
You can choose different kinds of pasta in their menu so I went with the "Rigatoni Boulettes" (13.90). If you like bigger pasta pieces go with the the tube shape rigatoni. The tomato sauce is flavorful and on point, and you can even see some tomato skins in them. All I can say it was delicious, especially the meatball toppings.
They gave my wife the wrong pasta with clams, so she ended up with "Linguine Vongole" (19.00). The clams tasted okay, but the white sauce tasted really good and it made up for everything. Our server even gave us some more bread (without us asking) just so we can use the bread to wipeout the sauces out of the plate.
When we came it was busy and the atmosphere is loud. I was pleased that even though the place was packed, they were able to seat us almost right away. Spacing inside is tight, however it's still a nice casual restaurant to dine-in.
We got great friendly service and that made our experience totally worth it. If you're in this area and Italian cuisines come to mind, Caffé Della Pizza is the place to be. read more
