This restaurant has to be one of the exclusive top-notch 5 star restaurants in the city. It's located close to Lincoln Park and even closer to Polanco. The set-up and ambiance is extraordinario! There are two sides of outdoor seating along the sidewalk, and for us it was quite peaceful. There are nice trees and plenty of awnings protecting customers from the intense sun. I ordered the large paella that included a variety of shrimp, oysters, muscles, clams, and squid. My boyfriend enjoyed their awesome mixed ceviche which had raw shrimp, octopus, scallops, and cucumbers all mised in their traditional house green sauce. We had breakfast here twice during our 5 day stay in CDMX and coffee or tea here multiple times beyond that because it was literally a .2 mile walk from our hotel and their options were right up our alley. In trying to be mostly plant-based in my consumption, I appreciate having almond milk as an option for my lattes and I absolutely love their lychee tea with dried fruits steeping in each cup! And the coffee was on point with their special blend. The oatmeal (which I actually had as a late night snack one night) was super yummy. We also had both their avocado toast and unique "whitefish" toast. I've had some pretty darn good avocado toast in my day, but I have to say, this was the absolute best! And that is a lot coming from this almost a half a century old foodie ;-) I was trying to break it down--pretty sure it wasn't about the avocado themselves and much to do with the freshly baked sourdough bread they use. SO flavorful. I don't even remember all the delicioso and unique baked good we also sampled from here (blue corn scone stands out as a winner). I'm super thankful we had this place so nearby and as an alternative to Starbucks! read more

The lavender latte, babkha bread , and chilaquiles were great. However, the salmon on toast was super tough and hard to bite or cut into , and the cardamom latte was not my cup of tea. read more

Walked around Polanco on New Year's day trying to find a place that was open. I saw a door open with people inside and quickly ushered my husband into this cafe. I ordered hot tea and while we waited we had a nice conversation with the mom and daughter of the cute establishment. As we got to know each others culture and experiences that has happened in our lives; the mom was bringing out baked goods straight out of the ovens and they smelt like heaven! I wanted them all but I wasn't hungry due to having ate breakfast. As we received our tea the mom handed us a brown paper bag and said "gingerbread cookies for your flight." The tea was nice, warm, and delicious. Half why through our flight back to Htown I took a bite of the gingerbread cookie...pure heaven! I knew i wasn't going to be able to obtain these in the near future so i savored every bite with my eyes closed. Then I regretted not buying more pastries for the flight! argh! My husband and I adore this place and plan on coming back every time we are in CDMX! I have recommended it to my friends as well when they tell me they are coming to mexico city. This little café in Polanco is perfect for what we wanted. I wanted to find a local cafe within walking distance to our hotel to get our days started right. This café has great coffee with a small menu of sandwiches and breakfast items. They also have some killer pastries in their display. I had the breakfast empanada, which the ladies behind the desk put in the oven to heat up for me. We loved them! They also have avocado toast! This place only has a couple tables in and out. And they have Wifi, which was great when we were looking for places to go for the rest of the day. Travel advice: Skip Starbucks (which you can get at home) and support this awesome local spot. read more
