Prepare to be disappointed. This "deli" is the embodiment of your kid letting you down in the simplest of tasks. I have gone here for the past two Sundays and both times upon opening my sandwich have been let down. First, upon ordering a sandwich that was written on the board, the results did not match up with the ingredients of the sandwich. Next, I returned but tried to simplify my order to a turkey club. A pretty simple sandwich that any cafe or deli could produce, right? Wrong. The deli guy looked at me as if I had requested an elaborate French meal worthy of Michelin stars. I stopped by because they had a special posted outside for the bacon cheeseburger + fries + drink for $9.99. However, I didn't get this when specifically, I asked for the bacon cheeseburger. Instead, they gave me the cheeseburger without the bacon. I specifically stated that I wanted the special that's advertised outside. So, they charged me regular price and I won't be going back again. The lady at the cash register was so rude about it, too. I felt extremely pressured into paying the full price because of the line behind me. I felt no empathy by the workers and felt trapped into purchasing it. I left without a deal, so lesson learned, never to return. Regarding the place, it's a regular corner deli with nothing that makes it stand out. I'm not returning if they can't even get their own special right. yesterday, I just needed a plastic fork since I've been starving for hours and my blood sugar was already low enough, I rushed and went inside to this store and asked for one single plastic fork, they literally asked for 5 cents‍ and since I didn't have ant cents so they didn't give me any fork. That is the most stupid thing that's ever happened to me in the city! thank god "just salad" was just a few blocks away gave me whatever I needed, they offered even more! You should be aware of that how small act of kindness will effect your business. So far so good, the food is amazing! I'm just sad that they haven't claimed their good reviews yet, hopefully they do. I even went as far as to tell them about claiming it! The food is great! The first time we ordered takeout and it was just awesome! The second time we went there got the same wraps and some ginger ales. It's a pretty awesome café to get wraps at, or should I say deli? I'm not very sure so I'm just gonna call it a café. The employees were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. They also gave me a piece of chicken to feed to our neighbors dog! Don't believe the haters. This is a solid deli with great specials and a they keep a high standard. The $9.99 Bacon Cheeseburger deluxe is a great value and mine have always been great, especially since I told them I like my fries crispy . Love the Gyro sandwich with fries, the Breakfast special, and they've also got interesting sweets and snacks for sale. Glad to have them on my block! read more

I ordered online and came in-store for pickup. The pick-up process is smooth, as the staff gets your order ready quickly after you check-in. I usually get an egg and cheese bagel for breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised at the generous amount of egg and cheese filling in the 3.25 bagel I ordered. This place is where Cafe Bene used to be and it's called Cafe Venice ! It's awesome. First off, it's 24 hours (and after the late night pizza place around the corner shut down, it's needed in this part of Murray Hill). They offer coffees, fresh juices, sandwiches, breakfast items and the regular commercial drinks. When I went I. They were still packing stuff away so I didn't get a very detailed look. I had a grilled cheese for gasp ~$3.99 and a small latte for $2.99. I think $4 for cheese and bread is so expensive but it so much cheaper than the other places around so this will be where I grab breakfast on my walk to work. The staff is warm and accommodating. I was unsure what cheese to try and they offered to do a mix for me. I got a free muffin from the owner Saleh and he was open to my suggestion of adding soup to the menu. I still have to go back a couple times so will update but my sense of this place is that it is a welcome addition to the area and the quality of the offerings is excellent. read more

Buyer beware ! There are some places that in effort to contain their credit card bills, offer customer discounts for paying cash. Not this criminal enterprise. They have the chotzpah to charge regular prices + tax only when customers use cash. otherwise, they impose - illegally - extra fees for using credit/debit cards. guess, they are counting to stupidity and ignorance of unsuspecting customers. With a deli on every corner, sometimes even 2-3 per block, it is a mystery how this place is still in business. Avoid at all cost! read more

i usually stop at venice cafe twice a week in the weekeday morning before work to grab a veggie breakfast wrap, blueberry muffin and cappuccino. the menu for sandwiches , wraps, paninis, salads , pastries. smoothies , beverages, etc, is extensive so i figure you gotta find something good to order. food is good and i never had any problems overall. during the hot summer mornings i like to grab a cool fruit smoothie on the go. they even have the grill working all day and night if you are in the mood for burgers , phillycheese steaks and more . cafe venice gets 4 stars on my yelp meter. read more

I build my own large Greek Salad for less than $9 (romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, grape leaves, warm pita on the side). They have grape leaves which are my favorite.
