Came here for breakfast and had a good experience overall. This cafe has a variety of seating including booths and high tops. Orders are placed at the counter before sitting down, and coffee was poured and handed to us before we sat down. Food was brought to our table though. I ordered the biscuit and gravy special which was good, and i really enjoyed the biscuits. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and I'd likely come back here again. read more

Terrible. The cook had his mouthful as he was making our food, which was made wrong. The eggs were chopped up like dog food. The woman who made our coffee had a meldrop hanging from the ring in her nose. More oversight would be helpful. Good thing there are other choices nearby. read more

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. A bit busy and the line wrapped around in the inside, which made it a bit confusing and chaotic on how to order. You order at the front of the counter, but if you're dining in, they'll give you a number and bring the food out to you. Drinks, you'd have to wait for them to call your name. For drinks, my gf ordered the Mango Smoothie. She found it to be delicious. I got the Tiramisu Latte, which was written on a big paper labeled specials. It was enjoyable. For food, I got the Homemade Corned Beef Hash. Came with eggs and toast, also on their specials menu. Would order again. My gf ordered the Breakfast Burrito, which is off of their regular menu. I just went grabbed a couple of coffees, the coffee is delicious and the staff greeted with a smile in early a morning which is always a bonus for me. They have tables to eat in, or you can grab and go. Quite a selection of donuts, bagels, and muffins and a menu as well. Will be back when we're in the area. read more

I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this place. I saw this place on tik tok that it was a popular breakfast place in lake George - tik tok didn't mention that you have to order up front and find your own seating. Upon arrival it was very confusing I had to find someone to ask how to be seated. There was only one menu to be found to order from. I feel this place is very unorganized. Also, once you are seated you cannot ask the waitress/waiter for a drink you have to go back up front and wait in line and order it which is ridiculous. My toast or anyone else in my parties toast was not toasted- it was a slice of bread with butter on it. The hash browns were absolutely disgusting and the pancakes tasted stale (like very hard and they didn't cut well with just a fork). On the bright side, I did enjoy my meat lovers omelette & I had a vanilla iced coffee that was very good. My friend also enjoyed her French toast and sausage. read more

Very cute cafe for breakfast serving excellent coffee in Lake George. You place your order when you walk in and it is delivered to your table. They were very efficient even with the crowd coming in. Decent place for breakfast or lunch on Canada Street. My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning, it was pretty busy so we waited on line to order at the register. Once you order, you take a number and sit down at a table where the server will bring over your meal. We waited for about 20 minutes after ordering. It felt a little hectic in here as people were finding their own tables and there was a long line just to order. Although the servers bring your food to the table, you have to bring your own drinks and glasses of juice to the table from the register. There was no ketchup or hot sauce at our table so we had to grab this from two tables nearby. Once our food came, we all enjoyed it. I had French toast, eggs, and sausage patties. The eggs and sausage were very delicious. The french toast was good, pretty basic but still good. It took our server two trips to bring all of our meals, which was no issue at all, but on her second trip over we asked if we could order another drink with her or had to order at the register again. She said we had to go back to the register so my friend had to wait in line again while his food got cold, just to order two more drinks. This was inconvenient. Besides this, our experience was good, we'd come here again for a bite! read more

One of the BEST coffee shops I have ever been to! I'm so glad I decided to stop in. I was walking around in the area and decided to get a little caffeine "pick-me-up." I ordered up a hot latte with steamed almond milk, as well as a triple berry scone. To be honest, they had a very appealing selection of pastries that all looked really great. This particular triple berry scone was by far one of the best scones I've ever had. I hadn't quite prepared myself for it to be so great! I was expecting what I'm used to in a scone, which is typically very dry and crumbly. This scone was different. It was rich in triple berry flavor, not dry at all, and every bite was just as great as the last, except of course the very last bite. That one wasn't good at all because there would be no more. Oh my, I'm writing this review about 3 days since visiting here and I can still remember (vividly) how amazing the scone was. The latte should not be forgotten either. Although not quite the star of the show, it was a really good latte. Perfectly made with a nice decoration on the top from the steamed almond milk. Forget about those big coffee chains and visit this place! You won't regret it. Very cool coffee decor in this place too. Staff was amazing, except perhaps the standoffish gentleman that was sitting at one of the tables that would occasionally walk behind the ice cream counter to restock some of the items and talk to the girl that was working. He appeared to be someone important like perhaps a manager or owner but couldn't be bothered to engage with the clientele whatsoever. Nonetheless, it had no effect on this rating. This would be a place I would come back to over and over again. It's too bad I don't live anywhere close to here. I hope to be back again someday! read more

Came back to Caffe Vero this year after being away from Lake George for a couple of years and was really disappointed. I ordered a scone which was stale and dry on the inside. The folks taking the orders weren't as friendly. Maybe it was just a bad day but was kind of looking forward to going back and it was a let down. read more

Where do I begin. The setup is sooo stupid. You uave the line where people are trying to get in the door without any pace or urgency of getting people serviced. Took quite some time for two egg sandwiches to go. Then I was beyond disappointed with the sandwich received. My friend asked for hot sauce on his, no where to be found. I'm not even sure if we got a full egg on each sandwich. Quite possibly the thinnest egg I've ever seen. Almost like we got "smash" egg and then half of my sandwich had bacon. How Caffe Vero works: walk in and place your order at the counter, wait near the front for your drinks. If you ordered food to eat at the cafe, take your number to a table and the food and flatware will be served to you. Everything tasted fantastic and was fairly priced. My husband practically licked his plate and my French toast was exactly right- fried outside and soft inside, dusted with powdered sugar. It was a cozy place to spend a blustery day and I saw a number of tables with friends and couples, old and young, share a coffee or a meal. The cafe is in need of some maintenance, but not in a terrible, rundown way. More of a we-are-focused-on-our-food-right-now way (COVID-related??). For example, most of the booth cushions have tape across the cracked vinyl. I wouldn't let these elements keep you away, just want to set your expectations. read more
