I'm staying at the hotel facing the restaurant for a company business trip. Thought a warm bowl of pho broth would be amazing. I already dined across the street but really wanted soup and would like to have pho during my week long stay so it feels like home. I ordered the pho broth with just white onion. Asked if I could add beef to the order. She said no they don't do that. I said oh okay, no problem. I'll just have the broth. No issues at all. Just wanted some soup. She asked if it was for here or to go, told her to go. She mentioned the onions will be packed separately, which I totally understand. I told her oh ok I'll do it for here. I pulled out a card. She said do you have cash? I don't carry cash. I have a gift card. She said there's a fee with an annoyed tone and look that the restaurant would have to pay. They don't service a $5 transaction. It was a bit back and forth since I was trying to explain that this is a prepaid visa gift card that someone else already paid a fee on. She just stared at me, without a word. Honestly, she could've said the card usage minimum is $10. I would've happily ordered 2 broths. Not a good experience and plenty of other pho places to order from. Just wanted the walking distance convenience. They also sell Boba tea for under $5, will they also decline a customer who would just order one drink? The fresh rolls were really really good . Order came with two pieces and both where very big. Sauce was decent. The restaurant was clean, and kind of setup for large families or parties. However, they needed to turn off the AC...it was freezing in there. Service was ok, you order from a counter and they bring you your food. So I asked for a refund, she said let me call someone. Without any explanation, she called the police. She told him they don't do refunds but never said that to me. I thought the bún with grilled pork at Oh Mai was good, but I like this version much better. First there was more fat in the meat, and secondly it had SO much grill flavor. My husband and I LOVE pho and this is our go-to spot anytime we're wanting it. We have been to a lot of places for it. So I think that's saying a lot that this is our preferred! We've gone to that location for many years. Why is it our go-to? Well #1 is that we get the pho ga. To me the taste of the broth , the texture and taste of the chicken are what I look for when deciding if I enjoy it or not. Some places the broth and the texture and taste of the chicken is just not great. Here it's excellent. My young child really likes it too. Here is how we make it: Pho ga with sriracha, hoisin sauce, squeeze of lime and maybe a dash of pepper. We have had other options on the menu and it's all been great. I really like the shrimp spring rolls. We go for pho though so that's what we're most familiar with. The service is good and employees are nice. read more

Why on earth would you pay someone to be rude to your customers? .......... Really mixed about this place. I'm a regular. There's a nice girl there with black hair who treats us very well every time, asks how we are doing and even remembers our order. I tip literally only because of her. She makes me feel welcome. The other woman with the brunette hair is suuuuper rude. So rude that I feel like asking if I can be helped by someone else- but even if I did there's no one else. She's often taking calls on her earbuds, is constantly trying to shoe us away when we are still specifying things for our order, or asking for to-go items. She makes it painfully, astoundingly clear she'd rather be anywhere else. She makes me not want to come back. If it wasn't for the other gal balancing her out I wouldn't. We had a excellent experience the other day. The owner personally came to our table and read it us, and he was very friendly and put a lot of pride into his restaurant. The food was super delicious, and the little broth he had cooked for 24 hours, so the taste was impeccable. I will definitely be coming back to this place again and again.
