I took a train up with my wife from Manhattan to see an open house in Mt. Kisco scheduled from 2-4pm on Sunday, 4/30/17. We arrived to find nobody there, so I called the agent whose # was on the sign to be told that she ended the open house at 3pm and that the home already had an accepted offer, presumably resulting from the open house held the day before. I double checked the listing on Zillow to confirm that I had not confused the time, which was verified. Nonetheless if the home had an accepted offer, the open house for Sunday should have been cancelled outright. We also saw a Cafe Realty Open House sign a block away with an arrow leading towards this home as we drove away, further highlighting their incompetence (or perhaps their "don't-give-a-sh*t" attitude regarding potential clients). Interestingly enough the agent on the sign is not listed on their website nor on the Zillow page, so perhaps this total disregard of professional integrity falls solely on her and not the entire organization. Still, I would absolutely never work with them based on this complete waste of my family's time. read more
