Seating was a bit limited but we were able to score a few spots at a communal table so we could do a few computer-y things while we were eating and caffeinating. I had a delicious cold brew coffee and an incredible sweet cheese danish, whereas my husband had a latte and a savory croissant. It's a month later and I'm still thinking about that danish! I also love grabbing beans from coffee shops I visit on the road and I definitely went back and grabbed a bag of their roasts before we left. It was that good!

I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it. The soy ginger sauce was excellent. The curry chicken is a definite try for those who would like to sample something different and hot and tasty! In short: Try the spicy dumplings, the curry chicken and the soy sauce chicken dishes here and maybe have a nice pandam mochi donut at the end!

The was perfect and well worth the wait as it was now basically lunch time. We shared a fabulous pastrami sandwich with pickled beets, Gouda, and arugula and a cup of the freshest, crispest, most flavorful watermelon gazpacho I have ever had. I think I might be ruined. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the inside is a very large shared dining table which seems to be a fun place to gather. The menu is inventive for lunch and the food is well prepared. I will return when back in Athens and highly recommend.

The only color they had in store was baby blue, so I agreed to buy a red one from their warehouse, paying upfront. When I picked it up the salesperson (same one who sold it to me), handed me a shopping bag and sent me on my way. I trusted them and didn't look in the bag. Thirty minutes later, a $267 tea kettle is rattling around my trunk. No box, no paperwork, nothing. The salesperson handed me the bag without saying anything!! Any reputable business would let you know the situation, perhaps offer a discount, and give you a choice about whether you still wanted the item. I returned the item and will never be back again. When this business goes down, they will only have their own questionable business practices and poor customer service to blame. (btw, their breakfasts are super oily and disgusting)
