Despite this, it will not stop me from returning as the staff were friendly and greeted us with smiles. Another bonus is the free wifi, as it is stronger than the Auckland public wifi and is a great way to past the caffeine wait. They'll even let you pick mood of the day if you're in early enough! I love getting the muesli with rhubarb and yoghurt and Andy digs in to a toasted breakfast bap. During the winter months they started doing porridge with berries and cream instead of the muesli which is a great way to mix up the menu during the cooler months. Highly recommend popping in here if you get the chance. Catering mostly for takeouts, with a few small tables, and nearby workers as its only open during the week, it's the perfect place to get your caffeine fix and grab a bite to eat from their vast range of brioches, muffins, baguettes and more. Mostly they are a take out place, Casetta have great salads, fresh breads, loaves, scones, cakes, pastries and other sweet things and the window always looks enticing. Once when I went in they had an amazing lemon syrup loaf on the counter, obviously not vegan friendly I passed it up but non the less, Casetta have great food. I used to work in Parnell and the others I worked with frequented here for the salads and sandwiches which must have been good as they kept going back. They get their breads from Olaf's bakery in Mt Eden, that is damn good bread, which explains why the sandwiches are so good. It is the best bread you will find in Parnell for sure. They do sell some other oddities like chutney and conserves, I have actually seen bags of jet planes here for sale. Not sure how gummy candy and long blacks go together but there's always a first for everything.

It's everything you'd want in a cafe mainly because they know how to make darn good coffee. But the fact that they sell the most amazing chocolates and loads of brewing gear to make your own coffee at home makes it even better. The staff are super nice, especially the cafe manager. They are genuine people who love making coffee to make people happy. How awesome is that! The staff are also really helpful when it comes to understanding how coffee works because Allpress are of course first and foremost roasters. This means you'll never get a bad coffee from them. They also have a few tables outdoors where you can sit and take in the sun and Ponsonby atmosphere. Dreamy.

There was one occasion where I came here with a friend of mine and spent over an hour on a little wooden bench outside the store window enjoying several long blacks. There isn't much space and the only other seating is small stools which line the other side of the footpath but who cares, it is Allpress, take it and go if need be it is still enjoyable out of a take out cup. There is a small range of biscuits inside but really the coffee takes center stage here. Allpress also hold after hours coffee appreciation classes for those who are wanting to work on their coffee making skills and also to educate coffee lovers more on their passion. It goes without saying of course that this is also a retail store and you can buy bags of Allpress to take home with you. Now I really want a coffee.

We are actually ate here twice because the food was that good! It looks like the owners go to great lengths to offer alternatives to the traditional baked goods you find in most coffee shops. This includes things like muffins that are dairy free and wheat free, yummy breakfasts that are nearly Paleo, and plenty of other treats. I'm a fan and would eat here regularly if I lived in the Auckland area. It looks like locals have discovered this place as well, as we saw lots of them coming and going. The workers were uniformly friendly and helpful! Looks like a nice place to work. When we come back through Auckland again, I'll definitely be back!

The decor, on the other hand, is a bit predictable - exposed light filaments, pictures frames randomly placed on a feature wall - but what really got me was the slide show picture frame on the counter of menu items.
