Green Days cafe is in a great little nook off Lark Lane, as you ascend the stairs from what seems…read morejust like a side door, the sign proclaims, "We are Open, Ooh!" and as the times of opening are rather as and when, they say 10 to 5 "ish" it can be a little hit and miss.
But once inside it's as though you've been allowed to sit and drink tea in someone's lounge, as well, it is kind of someone's lounge. It's very retro and bright and they have a wonderful little fire place and 70s mismatched plates and cups and saucers. The appeal of this place definitely has something to do with the homely and welcoming vibe, even though it's small you feel rather special here.
The food is all veggie and they have loads of healthy stuff (Greek yoghurt with toasted oats, fresh fruit and honey, I think so!) and drinks especially are dead cheap. They also have the most amazing homemade cakes- the baked cheesecake and cream, is a sure winner, so if you fancy a snack and a little step up into a quirky little cafe this is the place to go after a stroll down the kooky lane of Larks.
