The Bistro is a bit easy to miss - it has a modest storefront, and looks a bit dark from the outside. When you walk inside though, the business has a nice cozy feeling: wooden chairs and leather accented tables, as well as big comfy lounge chairs and 2-person booths, highlighted by local artwork on the walls. It's a counter-service affair, and you can order coffee and espresso drinks, milkshakes and floats, plus an assortment of soups, sandwiches, salads, sweets and ice cream. They also do a breakfast first thing I the morning for the early risers and office crowd. The staff is always super friendly, and quick to clean a table or help where they can. Basically everything is made-to-order, so you're going to get fresh food. An average lunch typically runs me about $10, a bit more if I opt for a latte instead of a pop, so the value is great too. This is definitely a place to check out if you'd like a change of pace from the fast food and pricey restaurants otherwise nearby. I understand they also do catering and they're pretty accommodating.

I didn't have a fade or a soul patch but I managed to communicate with the villagers who worked there. We used signs and grunts given how little street cred I had at 60. I used to drive from Edmonton. A woman once worked here with the most amazing tattoo work everywhere. Very groovy.

As far as I could gather she makes most of the sweets there but the gluten free she sources from another local venue. It's not a large space but well arranged and bright with some lovely seating directly by the windows on the main floor. To access the coffee shop you need to enter the building first. There's a gradual incline of a step depending on where you approach the building but I didn't spot if it's accessible for wheelchairs. Maybe I needed to walk further along the building? I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story as I was only able to try a date square and my cousin a tasty chocolate mousse of something as we had lunch prior to this stop.

Many of their blends that use strawberry tastes like the artificial powder stuff vs. real fruit, and leaves a gritty mouthfeel. I've tried many of their seasonal featured drinks as well and have been left feeling disappointed more than impressed. On the other hand, their milk brulee and cheesecake series have been really good! I also enjoy their fresh avocado latte. Their pearls have also been inconsistent, sometimes being overcooked and other times, too chewy. We've also visited when they ran out of their tapioca but we were still charged full price for our drinks.
