Had a busy morning, running around, paying bills shopping all that good stuff we decided to stop and get some breakfast burritos at this place we walked in. There was several people talking to other people behind the counter. We weren't greeted right away, which was OK I guess considering that we had never been there. We had to look at the menu and decide what we want it. We finally decided what we wanted. We ordered breakfast burritos with hot chili it was a very chill clean restaurant. A few TVs were going with news on one and sports on the other people are enjoying their breakfast having a good day. The food wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be it was actually quite salty and the chili that we ordered was supposed to be hot. It didn't have any heat to it and barely any spice. I enjoy try new things all the time ! I enjoy doing my reviews are good some bad but that's what we're here for but if you're ever in the area stop by and give it a try and let's see what you have to say see if you like the food it could've been just an off day who knows ..... I've driven by this place many times and finally stopped for the first time. I got the sausage breakfast burrito and a side a green chili and fell in love with both! Also the lady at the front is super friendly and inviting. Just note - they are closed Saturday and Sundays. read more

The food is good here but it REALLY should be hotter (heat hot) than it is. When it's served it's basically luke warm which is gross! The cheese barely melts on the burrito. Please improve because it would be fantastic if the food came out hot like it should. read more

Pork breakfast is bomb! Fast, friendly and real ingredients. Hard to find "wet" handheld burritos, these don't disappoint.

The $1.75 burrito is good for the price. It's a big burrito for the price. Adding cheese is only 35 cents. Just get there early because it's while supplies last. I had the green chili cheese fries with pork. They were ok but not awesome for $7.50 ($5.50 for the fries and $2 for the meat. Friendly staff. Order at the counter and then they call you up. I LOVE Cafe Mexico! Been coming here for over 15 years! They are always fast and friendly. Their green chili is better than any other place around! It has pork in it and it is thick and delicious! It's definitely a hidden gem. It's only open from 6:30am-2pm Monday-Friday and they stop serving breakfast at 1pm. Also, they only accept cash. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. First time and last time wont come here again ..they take your order then you are on your own .from getting your own drinks to cleaning up your table ..the green chili might have been good but it was over powered by the taste of black pepper..the food was warm at best ,the chesse on my burrito wasn't melted .but after looking at a couple other plates I guess this is normal here. So at best I'd say this is a run down fast food joint..( I guess the 2 schools close by keep them going ) or maybe it's the breakfast burritos a few of those went out the door .the chair cushions were very stained .I only saw 1 menu and it was torn ,dirty and taped to the counter next to the register ..microwave in the kitchen was getting alot of use ..whice was in plain site from the register..beans in the burrito were more whole than re- fried..the green tamale had way more chilis than meat...the only beef here from what I could see is ground beef..so ask before you order thing your going to get shredded beef. This place needs a lot of TLC...but for that I guess someone would have to care about their business... read more

so i believe that one of the things that makes a burrito a burrito is how fast it can through ya! Though i have not ventured away from there breakfast burritos i have returned to cafe Mexico many times since high school and many other long time customers such as my old high school principle who eats there 3 to 4 times a week. so i'm sure the rest of the menu must offer some good eats.... now the down side is the 19 year old looking girl that takes your order doen not ever seem to be happy about having a job haha read more

WORST BURRITO I have ever had! I ordered the all steak smoothed burrito. The green chili sauce was good, but the steak had no flavor & reminded me of canned meat. The front of the building touts "Best Breakfast Burrito in town!" & all I can say is that I hope that it's better than the so-called dog food like consistency steak burrito. May be willing to try their chili cheese fries in the future, since the green chili wasn't bad, or maybe even a tomale, but never another supposedly steak burrito. On a side note, they say they have wifi, but it wasn't working when I visited. read more
