Their first words when I suggested Denny's was, "Yes! You can always count on Denny's for good food and consistency". That pretty much sums up Denny's. This particular Denny's did not disappoint. Since we'd been on the road for several hours, we first stopped at their restrooms. There are only 2 stalls, so it was a short wait. The restroom was cramped, but clean. We requested seating in their sun room, which they obliged. I don't have a big appetite, so I just ordered an unsweetened iced tea and a cup of their chicken noodle soup, which was more than enough for me. I think I ate for around $5! You just don't see that in sit down restaurants anymore. Sure, you can spend a lot at Denny's, but they also have affordable options for those with a small appetite. Denny's does offer a kids menu and a senior menu for over 55 as well. My mom also ordered a cup of their chicken noodle soup, but also went for a side salad with Ranch and a Coke. My grandmother and aunt both ordered one of their new skillet meals...one got the South by Southwest Skillet and the other ordered the Rio Ranchero Skillet. They both completely finished their meals quite satisfied and happy with their purchases. In fact, we all left feeling good with our choices. Smiles all around! Our service was average; not over the top, but we weren't left feeling like we'd had bad service. All in all, it was good stop and I definitely recommend.

I came across this gem on my way through Cumberland, MD back in the fall of yesteryear. I've got to say, this place is fabulous! It's sassy, but not overdone. I ordered a Waldorf Sandwich and was blown away by the vascular, sculpted forearms of the cook who prepared it for me (I think his name was Benjamin.) I mean, the sandwich was good, but those forearms, my God man! I was also impressed by the excellent attitude and hospitality shown to me by their in house-deity, Tim. I mean the guy descends from the heavens on a daily basis just to serve us mortals a cup of joe. Cheers for going that extra mile Tim. This is simply the place to get breakfast in Cumberland.
