Dropped in for a quick coffee on a drive through town. All the employees were masked up and seemed to be taking appropriate precautions during COVID. There's a nice outdoor space with tables that is in a cute pedestrian-only walkway. Kid friendly and friendly staff. We originally found this place 3 months ago on our way back from Deep Creek. It was a great find and we ate there twice in the last 2 days. Service is great, and it is a fun little place with games to play while you wait for food. The frozen hot chocolate is awesome and their breakfast options are all a good sized portion and well made. Sweet little Cafe! It's pretty complex for such a simple set up. It looks like a little coffee shop, but the food is all freshmade and above average! I had to of course go for the blueberry crunch French toast after seeing pics on yelp... Wow! And it's healthy cause it has blueberries... (OK maybe not...) but sooo good! Hu s had a turkey tornado which disappeared before I could steal a bite... Kids PBJ was exceptional! The white bread is "real" bread! It's fluffy and thick and has a great taste! It's huge too, so makes for a great left over for the kid(or me) when we're onthe road... Coffee is all fair trade and REALLY good! I got a soy latte, it was perfect! Fluffy and creamy and soy-ey... Perfect balance of rich and slight bitters that makes a great espresso. The Cafe itself is adorbs! Super cute little cafe! We stopped here before going on the Fall Foliage Train ride. Never being in the area before, we found ourselves at the back entrance of the cafe which was sketchy and we almost decided not to go in. But I forced my family to follow me in and we were pleasantly surprised! The staff is super friendly, but the service is slow. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes before we got our bagels and cream cheese. This wouldn't have mattered if we weren't on a schedule but 20 minutes for some bagels seems a little crazy. The coffee was yummy! But after about 10 minutes I went to ask about my bagels and the girl making coffee seemed very uninterested in helping me out so I sat back down. We had car trouble early this morning. We had to wait hours to get it taken care of and when we did we were starving! I looked up breakfast places in the area and Cafe Mark was one of the ones that it showed. Let me tell you this place was amazing! Delicious breakfast sandwiches, and the pancakes were perfect. My girls loved their Peach Mango boba. The Pumpkin Marshmallow Latte was sooo good! Definitely will be stopping by when we drive through again. read more

Went here looking for just a sweet. By 9am most everything gone. No worries I get that. Got a blueberry muffin for my husband and I to split. Might be the worst anything we have every had. No flavor, dry as cardboard. I don't know if it was days old? The ones in the front might have been better vs. the back of the case but I am telling you the worst. This was a cute surprise for my family and I travelling through Maryland. The cafe has a great menu for food and coffee drinks. The pancakes were DELICIOUS. They had a large upstairs dining/lounging area that was perfect for me to take my twin toddlers. The cafe is located in a really charming downtown area that was extremely walkable. Cumberland is a small town so sometimes choices are limited. Still, if you want a nice breakfast that tastes good but may not be overly fancy, this is a great place to get it. It's along the downtown pedestrian mall and, in good weather, it has outdoor seating. Inside the ambiance is somewhere between diner and coffee shop. The menu is short but with plenty on there for a heart breakfast to get you started on your day. The pastries are delish and, like everything else in Cumberland, the people are super friendly. They make some gourmet coffee, too. It tastes good and gets you going. My guess is that this place is really very pleasant in the summer months when the weather is warm and you can grab a cuppa Joe and a nice sweet treat. The fall and winter months need a little more seating area inside but I'm not sure how busy it gets in Cumberland. Great place. read more

My wife and I were looking for lunch as we were driving through Cumberland, but we had some difficulty finding anything on Yelp that was open on a Sunday afternoon that appealed to us. We refused to eat at McDonalds, so we opted for a late breakfast at Cafe Mark. We found it a treat. The staff were attentive, dressed in traditional black and white wait staff attire. The coffee was great. My wife played it safe and ordered their scrambled eggs. They were good, but standard fare. I ordered a house specialty, the sweet potato hash with sausage and spinach. It was fantastic. My wife couldn't help, but steal a few bites. We found the restrooms stylish and clean. Jennifer's Desserts, which is a part of the Cafe was too tempting. We ordered a couple Chocolate Sundae Cupcakes to go. They did a fantastic job designing these cupcakes to look just like a real chocolate sundae. They were just delicious. Mark and Jennifer's was a real find in this town. We were glad to spend our money here rather than McDs! read more

It's a great place in Cumberland, and it's always my go-to when I'm in town. It is a little pricey but I don't mind supporting a local business. The only weird thing was that the last time I was there I ordered a cappuccino and the woman working asked me if I wanted more milk or foam.. I had no idea.. I had never had anyone ask me that before. I mistakenly said more foam. My drink didn't taste like a usual cappuccino, but I feel like that might have been because I chose more foam. In conclusion, if you order a cappuccino here, choose more milk! read more
