Mushroom Swiss quiche and spicy chai latte.
Lynne P.

The service was excellent and the owner and Haley were so fun. Mushroom Swiss quiche and spicy chai latte. The crust was flaky and the quiche was so savory delicious. The chai latte was made with oat milk and just the perfect spice blend. The restaurant is very accommodating to any guest request with alternative dairy options. Great place to stop to relax or grab a quick option to go.

Great consistent spot on the Island! That being said, there are a few dishes that are consistently delicious - the Reuben (the mushroom version is great, but the meat one is my favorite sandwich here) and any of the espresso drinks. The staff are personable, the Wi-Fi is good, and the noise level is pretty low. So grab your coffee beverage of choice, sit down, and work away. And if you're still there at lunchtime, get the Reuben. And take half of it home, because it's a big sandwich and you'll want that other half later.

Decided to make our first trip to Vashon Island on a Tuesday. Alot of the eateries are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We were hungry and so we decided to try Cafe Luna. They were absolutely jammed with orders, but everyone was extremely nice. I had the turkey Panini and my partner had the grilled tuna. Both plates were absolutely wonderful as they came with a side of chips and a pickle. We just sat here and took our time eating and can't wait to come back! Thank you for making our first experience for eating on Vashon Island a good one!

The breakfast blueberry muffin was disappointing, but my adventure partner says the bacon-cheese frittata (large muffin size) was great. We returned for lunch because I wanted to try the mushroom Reuben - it was excellent (although the mushrooms were unexpectedly spicy). My partner had the pastrami Reuben and was not blown away, but enjoyed it.

Good coffee & baked goods. Nice atmosphere inside. A classic stop for local Vashonites, nice and tucked away from the main strip.

They had a sign up the first day that advertised a rose honey latte special, and I love all of that, so I ordered it large and iced. It was amazing. I like my lattes with flavor, but I also want to be able to take the coffee and get a balance. If my coffee doesn't taste like coffee, it's too sweet. I could taste all the elements here and it's clear they use good, high-quality ingredients. They even topped it with rose petals! One day I strayed and ordered one of their specialty mochas, which I am generally hesitant to order because they're often way too sweet. I saw they use Holy Kakow syrup and know that's pretty good stuff. The mocha was really good, but also over $9 for a large before tip. That's my main complaint about this is that it's expensive. That being said, it's Vashon Island and most everything is super expensive. My large, iced latte is under $8 before tip and that feels more justifiable. This is overall a really cool place to check out with some cool history. The tea selection is absolutely amazing, though I'm too much of a coffee person to try it.

When you walk in, you're immediately hit with the smell of the roasted coffee beans, and you can see them roasting the beans from inside the shop. So cool! They have a wall of teas, a case of baked goods, and so much more that I probably even missed some things, like checking out the bookstore. I was feeling a bit worn from my travels so I decided on a Golden Mylk instead of opting for coffee. The Golden Mylk was a perfect blend of spices and creaminess. Very cozy, warm, and the perfect drink for a cloudy day. I also tried the Vashon Fog which was delicious. Not too sweet, and you could taste the tea over the milk, it didn't taste watered down. You have to check them out if you visit Vashon island!

We biked over from our little cabin over the water for morning coffee and pastries. The stand is located at a crossroads with the general store and has a walk-up window and small patio for seating. There were several locals with their dogs who seemed like regulars, as well as several visiting families. We were happily surprised to see the huge pastries in the display and to hear that they are from Snapdragon (another recommendation our hosts had given). We ordered a chai and a latte with one sweet and one savory pastry. The pastries were huge and good, but nothing crazy special. We also enjoyed our drinks! We will definitely return when staying in the area again!

There is not really a menu, according to the cashier, so I just went with the 8oz latte with salted caramel syrup. While there is no latte art, that is okay as the drink was prepared at lightning speed and they foam the milk very well so the entire drink is at just the right temperature to drink immediately. Also, the drink is perfectly sweet and well priced at $3.75, no tax on top. Very solid coffee spot for a quick coffee break in the Vashon Island!
