I'm saddened to see the glory days of Cafe Lu have passed. A lot had changed since our last visit. The vibe isn't the same when my boy and I visited last week on two separate occasions (Thursday evening and Friday morning). Coming in and out of the building felt unwelcoming. Familiar waitresses I used to see weren't present and possibly moved on. We didn't get a chance to order our drinks due to lack of service. All I have now are memories previous visits. It maybe a hit or miss for you. As for myself, it was a big miss into left field! read more

Lol. Visited on a random weekday afternoon and it was an interesting outing. The place is pretty dark but maybe it's cus it was late afternoon but the drinks were all delicious. We had coconut juice, coconut smoothie, avocado smoothie, orange juice, and tea. Fun times! read more

Went super late towards closing, Only one girl approached and she was so kind hearted and funny and easy going. Name was Helen, made us felt very welcomed and comfortable. Cannot say good stuff about her. Place is still the same with the sane vibe. Good place to relax and kick back for a few hours. Look for Helen! read more

Omg.. I finally made it to Cafe Lu. I start by saying I wished I had came here a long, long time ago. This place is the best I ever been to watch sports. They got TVs everywhere. And they got some awesome GIRLS wearing nothing but tiny bikinis and lingerie. I'll start by saying the girls here are aweSoMe!! The girls greeted every single person when they sat down with a FREE complimentary drink.. Another huge plus the girls don't pester you with repeated menu requests or lap dances. Honestly, I was surprised they just sit down next to you and go with your flow.. The menu is short. I forget what exactly but they had the usual bar bites like chicken wings and tater tots and beer. They are known for their variety of smoothies, slushies, coffees, and teas. I just had some beers but next time they're some games on, I'll come back and try their jackfruit smoothie. So if you're in the area and looking for that perfect spot to watch the game or fight, definitely recommend giving them a try. I know I wish I lived closer since the sports bars in LA can't match the vibe at infamous Cafe Lu.. I know it's called a coffee shop but it felt to me more like a layback sports bar.. And I've never been to a sports bar and spent$ almost nothing.. so I just tip the last girl I was talking too before heading out for IKEA.. read more

Vietnamese coffee was delicious. We had a strawberry smoothie- I'm pretty sure it was basically pureed strawberries- so good! I think our waitress was Crystal (?) - she was very friendly and an excellent waitress. We also had a side of fries- cooked perfectly. read more

So damn smoky and hard to breathe during the day. The girls huddled around the locals and not a first timer like myself. I am glad I didn't waste my money with any of them, and learned my lesson. I asked to see a menu, and a server said, "We just have coffee." She gave zero effort, as there could be different varieties of coffee or other beverages. I asked for an iced mocha, because I didn't know what else they had. It tasted horrible and wasn't even close. I think they would have brought out the same drink regardless of what I ordered. I heard of this place for decades and was curious. Now I know better. read more

Food is good. Drinks too. Very distracting to have the girls walk around in nighties and neglegeeis. I was not expecting that. I wouldn't call it being pranked, more of a social experiment to see how I'd react, but overall a solid food and lunch time because of the company I went with. Not sure they need the girls dressed like that to be successful. Felt like the people there were more sketch than anything else. Not sure I'd return soon. read more

The place has gone down hill. Girls won't talk to you, drinks were nasty, and tables were sticky. Go to a stripe club instead, cause we all know no one is going there for the drinks alone. I miss GZ Cafe, that place knew how to cater to the customer. Me and a friend went there, and through girls centered around one guy with a laptop (maybe the owner), no attention was paid to us or any of the other people there. read more

Underwhelming. I thought it would be more lounge and the girls would talk to us more but I guess cause we were a group of two girls and two guys, they didn't dote one us as much Service was personable when we did encounter the waitress. Food was okay, basically cheap bar food, and coffee was potent. We got the chicken wings and tenders. Good to visit once to say you did it. My friend noted the scene has changed - slot machines and place has been cleaned up, and the place is no longer filled with cigg smoke, though I did see a smoked cigg on a table when we walked in. Girls are clad in minimal clothing of course, as expected. read more

Can't wait to visit again. The ladies of Cafe Lu have always been very nice and attentive. They make the effort to get to know their guests. To me, the standouts have been Courtney, Ariel and Ava. Maria and Josie are always fun. And the one that always makes the effort to spend time to get to know what is happening with me and retain the information for next time is Alani. I've been following Cafe Lu's instagram for quite some time. I enjoyed their posts of the beautiful ladies. One in particular I had to see for my own eyes. I made a special trip down to visit from northern California. The location was easy enough to find. As I walked into the main door I stood there for a bit. I did not know if there was a security guard or hostess that would seat me. After standing for awhile I finally sat myself at an empty table close to what looked like the main cashier counter. There appeared to be MAME machines or gambling machines at several of the tables near the walls. A larger table at one corner had a group of men and a woman seating playing and smoking cigarettes. I sat at my table for 5 to ten minutes before one of the scantily clad ladies who was nearby already talking to three guys approached me and asked if I wanted something to drink. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. She left and returned with a coffee and sat back down to rejoin the guys she was talking to. There were 2 other men besides me who were sitting at tables with no drinks and more importantly no ladies accompanying them. I had read reviews of how the ladies are not outgoing towards new guests and primarily stick to their regular customers. That is what I witnessed. Nearest the door, one guy had a total of three ladies sit with him and join him in eating what he had ordered. Overall, I was not impressed at all with what I experienced. If they want to take care of their regulars that is fine. I'm disappointed they didn't give a new customer a chance. As I said at the beginning I came from out of town (over 350+ miles). I'm going to stay local and give Cafe Paradise in San Jose a try next time instead. read more

Highly recommend this place. Met the most interesting world traveler and beyond. Very social, loves to skate, extremely friendly, just don't try and shake her hand. The coffee is not standard issue, it's the fix that keeps you going and going. I'll definitely be back, just gotta bring my own soap with me. read more

It has been a long time but I found myself at Cafe Lu for a visit. The shop was remolded having a more modern feel and a few less tables and seats. Masks seem optional, none of the staff used masks, a few customers did. Arriving a little after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon there about eight other customers and two waitresses, both waitresses provided efficient service but neither were sociable. The ice coffee was excellent and cost $6, the tea is complementary and is regularly filled, Cafe Lu also has a food menu (I passed). I was there for the shift change, where four waitresses worked the evening shift, the four were attractive and the outfits varied from baby doll lingeries to thong bikinis, a very nice view. My party arrived at about 430pm and the service was efficient but again none of the four lovely ladies were sociable with us. While good coffee and efficient service are appreciated those are definitely not the reasons to visit Cafe Lu and overpay $6 for a small Cup of Coffee. If you just go for the view of attractive ladies walking around in lingerie/bikinis pouring tea while watching a game or hanging out with friends, Cafe Lu is a good spot. I went into Café Lu on September 21, 2022. The air was smokey and It was a little crowded, about ¾ full. The ladies were mostly good looking and appeared to be of Vietnamese descent. Some of the Vietnamese coffee shops have ladies of various ethnic backgrounds. The patrons and workers were on their phones, playing video games or chatting. I ordered my smoothie and gave the waitress $20, she then gave me $20 back in ones, I guess I received a free drink? The girls were friendly but none of them sat down to chat with me, it seems like they will only talk with you if they know you. I drank my smoothie and left with my clothes smelling of smoke. This place is good if you want to look at beautiful women in lingerie but don't care to chat with them. I doubt I will return. read more

We all know of or have heard of this place, This is the most popular bikini/lingerie coffee shop in southern California. So I finally came here for the first time while visiting friends in Orange County, and I had high expectations. I do like how spacious the place is from the inside, and how low key it is from the outside. Although it was surprisingly slow and almost empty on a Saturday evening. And there were maybe only two girls working. One was gorgeous and one was whatever. They also have the fishing gambling machines. They only serve coffee, tea, and smoothies. And they serve you and charge you for tea even if you don't order anything, because you're paying for eye candy basically. Overall, nice establishment compared to other coffee shops, but its actually really really boring. Lol. read more

it's the equivalent version of a hooters, but instead of beer n wings, it's with very strong milk coffee & tea or made to order smoothies. Most shops have lunch menu's too & flat screens. read more

Living in Hawaii, a number of the Cafe Lu girls come down to work in the bars. I mean come on, who wouldnt want to come to Hawaii to make some easy money ;) lol I always heard about this place from different people, so of course it was on top of my list when I came to Cali! I was surprised to see how large the venue was. They had tons of tables and large TVs playing the clippers game. I can see how guys must love it here. The girls are definitely pretty! I dont mind getting served some viet coffee from ladies in lingerie. I also noticed that the girls work in high heels (looks good, but that sucks~!) The coffee was alright. read more

I wasn't impressed... I'm not into vietnamese coffee so I can't really comment on that, but I've gone to vietnamese bars quite often so I figured this wouldn't be that different from what to expect as far as ambiance and service as well as the people. I'm not sure why there's only one $. It should definitely be at least $$. The service isn't really that great, especially if you're not an old vietnamese dude. No matter what, you're required to pay even if you're not trying to order something because there is a $5 charge for the ice cold tea that they automatically give you. So, you might as well order something you at least would want to drink if you don't want to pay for some crappy cold tea. I got a crushed strawberry ice slush kind of drink, which wasn't that bad because it was at least fresh. That was about $6-7. For those who go to watch the sports, good luck trying to follow what's going on since there's no captioning on the TVs if there's something important other than the scoring going on. I was expecting a lot more since Cafe Lu was a pretty hyped up Vietnamese coffee shop down in Southern California, but it's definitely not something to get excited about. Might as well go to a vietnamese bar. At least there's alcohol, food, and karaoke entertainment usually. read more

Wow, This place has really changed alot. I have been coming to Cafe Lus with friends for years and years and years. Me and the bros what come here to have coffee drinks and stare and talk to the ladies on are time away from the girlfriends or spouses or what not. Anywho, I was here a few weeks ago with coworkers and we all ordered the Expressos and and other latai coffee. They serve food here now. They also sell alcohol i believe at night time. Tons of men in here smoke and play cards. Usually cigarettes dont bother me so much. Parking lot can get full. Ladies are always nice. They hire other girls now, Other than Vietnamese women which makes it even more fun to come here. I love it here, I am a veteran customer. Always a pleasure to visit again. read more

I can't believe the treat I get from this Hispanic girl. My friend and I coming back from restroom, she's lap dancing a crew homie, then she's start saying that my friend touch her nipple, she starts going off on him then me cause I was next to him, she kick him out then me cause I was next to him. This place is just like any other Orange County hole in the wall coffee shop with girls of different ethnicities walking around in lingerie or bikinis. However the girls are lazier. I would give this place 1 star but I will rate it 2 stars because of the girls in the morning wearing not much of anything. Anyways, I stopped by on Friday June 7th around 10:30am for a meeting with a friend. I sat down near one of the machines waiting for my friend to show up. One of the coffee girls with tattoos all over her leg immediately sits down next to me and starts up a conversation asking what I do for work and how she likes my car etc. She didn't even ask me if I wanted anything to drink. She is literally an employee at this establishment hired to look pretty and serve customers drinks and she didn't ask me if I wanted anything to drink... I explained I was thirsty for a coffee and asked her to make me cafe Su da. The coffee tasted good but it was $7 and it was served in a tiny glass full of mostly ice cubes. Lmfao. Time to hire some new employees with some customer service experience. read more

This place is absolute garbage, i've been to the other cafes in the area and thought i would be welcomed here since it was so well known but it's absolute garbage here, girls are stuck up and rude, service is just terrible go somewhere else down the street. I got seated then left alone completely after ordering, noone said hi was nice not one bit. Even tipped after ordering yet nothing, not one girl has even talked to me. I never been treated like this anywhere, im surprised no one has burned this place to the ground yet read more

If you're a regular, the girls will usually guess your order which makes things so much better. I don't mind, I'd prefer if they ask first; not being rude but just saying. My other complaint is the smoking, it doesn't happen a lot but when it does, it's by the no smoking signs. It would've been 5 stars, but it loses points for the cons I've mentioned before. Despite those cons, I come back here a lot. I forgot to mention that some of the girls do interact with other people than just you. For me, it's not and issue. But if you're the jealous type, this place isn't for you. Like the old saying goes: experiences may vary, my review is my experience there. I'd come back again, and I usually do. read more

Of all the tea places I've tried, these drinks easily had the strongest tea flavor at that level of sweetness. If you're not use to the bitterness from tea, you might elect to select a higher level of sweetness to balance it out. The oat milk has a very subtle flavor, but also doesn't overwhelm the drink. Either way, I thought both drinks were well-made.

These are sold 4 to a package and and are like the yummiest croissant you've ever tasted. I was sitting waiting for my order to be completed when the owner cam out with a bit of one on a fork. I was hooked. They're already baked, but the instructions are to put them in an air fryer (we used a small convection toaster oven) for 2-4 minutes at 350. I also like them split and toasted.
