Signage along 220th in Mountlake Terrace (4/6/26)

I had Cafe Lilia bookmarked for about two months and finally had the opportunity to check out this indie spot in Mountlake Terrace (4/6/26). The cafe is conveniently located on 220th with easy access between Hwy 99 and I-5 at Terrace Village. There's also a shared parking lot with ample spots. The interior is very bright and inviting with natural light, pleasant decor, and very clean. There's counter seating and also eight two tops. For the laptop crowd, they have WiFi and also well placed wall plugs. Overhead music was a bit loud, but eventually it just became background din while onsite. The counter staff were very welcoming and upbeat. The menu had a variety of custom bevs, as well as, the usual espresso offerings. The pastry case was well stocked with baked goods from Macrina and Cottage Community Bakery. There's also a few toasts/open faced savories. During my time onsite for 2.5 hours, there were a few that lingered. Majority of the foot traffic got bevs to go and clearly some were cafe regulars. I enjoyed my well crafted 16oz mocha. The blueberry scone was just okay. I was thankful that it was served with a fork and saucer since this item was kind of crumbly. The overall experience was positive and enabled me to focus on my ongoing job search. Recommended north end cafe destination!

What an adorable little café tucked into a plaza with plenty of parking! The space is really clean, cute, and cozy inside. I absolutely loved the coffee--my only small note would be that it could've been a little hotter, but the roast itself was delicious and really well balanced with the milk and syrup. I ordered the Honeycomb and it was sooo good. The drizzle of honey on top with that creamy foam is just perfect. I also got the girls a hibiscus mango refresher and it was perfectly sweetened--not overwhelming at all. It had a soft mango flavor with a light hibiscus finish that was really refreshing. I love finding little hidden gems like this, especially when they're newly opened! It's such a great spot for a meetup, a date, or even studying. Cozy, warm atmosphere, soft music playing, and just really peaceful overall. Will be back again when im in the area

Newly opened cafe, opened a day ago. Really cute place. Serves pastries made by a well known bakery in Seattle. Lots of coffee drinks and refreshments to choose from. Pastries and cookies to eat while having drinks. Nice place for a meet up. Cute, clean and good place to hang out. We had an Americano, lemonade, morning bun and chocolate chip rye. Will be back to try other coffee creations.

We passed by this new cafe by chance. We noticed it from outside with its appealing exterior. From the outside it looked so modern and very bright, felt so inviting. True to its form, the inside decor is minimalist with pale hues and a polished look. The counter, with its gleaming Italian coffee machine. The assortment of pastries are arranged nicely to the right. There are a few tables cleanly arranged in the middle of the room and against the walls. There's a lot of posh and sophistication in their decor. I had an Americano which tasted deep and robust. We also had a lemonade with sparkling water, very refreshing. We had a Morning Glory bun and a Chocolate Chip Rye Cookie. It was moist. Both pastries were delicious.. The baristas and owner were very cheery and amiable. Glad to see these independent coffee houses sprouting up. It has more personality than the usual Starbucks. There's plenty of parking outside. As long as the coffee and pastries are these good, we'll keep coming back.

Such a relaxing vibe! I loved all the flowers everywhere. I got the special pistachio latte and it was delicious! My husband and I also split an avocado toast and a cinnamon roll. Everything came out fast, tasted great, and was cute as heck.

Excellent and friendly service and delicious coffee drinks! The owner seems super nice and I love to support a local woman owned business! I got a 12oz iced Golden Caramel Latte and it was not too sweet and was a perfect ratio. I wanted something form the pastry case, but they couldn't confirm ingredients list and I have a nut allergy so I opted not to risk it. Hopefully soon they'll have an ingredients list on hand. Highly recommend stopping by here!

Very trendy and stylish interior and lovely little details.

Fortunately, there was no traffic so it was a 20 min drive easily. However, a lot seemed to have changed from about a year ago? We got popcorn chicken which was $9 for a very tiny plate (like the medium size sampler food container you get at food tasting events) which is a joke of a portion, and the chicken was not even good quality - heavy on the batter. Compared to pictures a year ago, where the portions looked much much larger. They are so stingy on the amount of chicken, that I thought they were giving us a sample to try before they make a real batch lmaooooo. I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area

I'm a creature of habit and often stuck to the other side of the complex. I did not realize that One Bite Cafe took over the former Great Harvest Bread. I had checked out One Bite Cafe before in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood out of curiosity regarding croffles, but it didn't not leave a lasting impression at the time (open since 2019, with that visit in July 2022). However, when The College Friend set up a meet up at the Lake Forest Park site yesterday (open since May 2022, this visit on 4/9/26). There is an interior entry from the two level retail area and an exterior entry adjacent to the big shared parking lot. It took me a few tries until I found a spot. I was kindly greeted upon entry while the counter person was assisting the customer ahead of me. I ordered and paid directly on the convenient touch screen kiosk located to the left of the main register. I liked the interior transformation. Lots of onsite seating configurations and pleasant decor. Overhead music played the Beatles, which was a pleasant surprise. The wrap around pastry cases with well placed menu placards showed the variety of menu offerings. There's a wide variety of bevs, sweet and savory pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gluten free items from NuFlours. I ordered a 22oz iced classic milk tea with 75% sweetness and no toppings, plus some Korean sausage bread. The College Friend decided on a toasted Reuben with chips. We also shared a Portuguese egg tart. We were onsite for three hours. I noticed a constant stream of customers who also dined onsite, as well as, folks getting items to go. I appreciated observing the consistent pleasant and helpful counter staff, all with welcoming smiles! I learned that One Bite Cafe has grown to four sites: Seattle/Roosevelt, Lake Forest Park, Woodinville, and Federal Way. That's great to see ongoing success for this local, indie cafe chain. This Drumlin update is essentially transitional, jumping from Nov 2022 to Feb 2025 to July 2025…read more(7/20/25). I enjoy stopping by Shoreline's Ridgecrest neighborhood, because of the Crest theater, Ridgecrest Books, Cafe Aroma, and Drumlin. Drumlin is the sister restaurant to the adjacent Ridgecrest Pub which often hosts a wide variety of food trucks. I like how Ridgecrest overall has created a pleasant sense of community. Drumlin first came onto my radar screen because I heard about an Escoffier trained pastry chef working there from another Yelp Elite. I tried a few times to stop by, but the popular baked goods were always sold out. But I did end up having a tasty lunch which I wrote up in my previous review from 11/13/22. This pastry chef has since then moved on. Drumlin then returned onto my radar screen because I heard of about a revamp of their beverage and culinary program. I was able to spontaneously stop by, snag a two top and really enjoyed my first 2025 visit back on February 19th. I savored my spinach salad, casio e pepe risotto, and Running Up That Hill cocktail. It was a bit spendy since I had just started a new job. However, I appreciated the quality and its location close to home. It was nice to see positive write ups in Seattle Magazine and The Stranger, giving positive props to this Shoreline destination. Then I heard that Drumlin went into full cafe mode with daily business hours 7am to 1pm. Menu focuses on beverages, baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches/wraps for the time being. Interesting pivot, but not fully using their awesome multi-purpose space. They have outdoor seating, a full bar, a stage, many two tops against a banquette, street parking, and a dedicated private parking lot. Oh well, I'm sure there is a story behind that and why dinner service has been suspended. Anyways, subsequent visits happened all within a week on July 12th, 13th, and 20th. The first two visits were around 11 am, today's visit was at 745 am. The visits were all onsite for one hour, 90 minutes, and five hours, respectively. Absolutely chill vibe being onsite. Often the challenge visiting indie cafes, there's never enough seating, too crowded, the sea of laptops, ad naseum. I enjoy seeing solos, pairs, groups, and families stopping in whether to stay awhile or as takeout. I've enjoyed collectively to date: 3 - 16oz iced mochas, 1 chocolate chip cookie, one peach gingerbread cake slice, and two Morning Glory muffins. Today's muffin was especially awesome, still warm from the oven, love the overall moist crumb, and especially the pepitas for texture. This going to be a hard situation because I enjoy Cafe Aroma located diagonal from Drumlin, but I definitely favor the fresh onsite scratch pastries here. There's also some featured baked goods from Kaffeeklatch, located in Seattle's Lake City neighborhood. I've contributed two posts and 40 photos over five visits. Hopefully this provided a comprehensive view of my experience at Drumlin. I've been a Shoreline resident for over 23 years, I'm always rooting for hometown businesses to succeed as they evolve, remain vibrant, and viable.

In long This is part of my new regular tour of Edmonds coffee spots since I'm down here a time or two a week these days. Ladro has lots of fans and it's easy to see why, even if the smaller mom-and-pop places get higher rates around here. Ladro deserves credit for doing everything right. This is an older strip mall, probably built around the time that phrase was coined. Wide variety of businesses, wonky shapes and angles in the parking lot. Inside, there's the big coffee bar on one side, and tables and chairs over there. They have some merch for sale, including plenty of choices among their own house-roasted beans. Lots of blends, and even a few interesting-looking single-origin bags, too. Not any cheaper than the big premium roasters charge. I'd have to try some of the beans before I could say if that seems justified, but I bet it might be. You can order ahead, but not only did I choose to order manually, I went inside and looked the poor kids in the eye. They all seemed to enjoy each others' company, and their nice work environment translates into a nice ambiance for relaxing with a cup. I ordered chai lattes to go, and they were boiling hot and tasted like they were from a tea bag (not the sugar-bomb concentrate that some places use). I also had a brown butter scone that was great even at room temp. They didn't get overly chatty making the drinks, but they were definitely friendly, and everything was ready quickly. Nice kid clocking off for the day even held the door for me as we went out, given that my hands were full. Honestly, if you didn't know this was a chain (albeit a small, local one), you'd think this place existed simply to caffeinate locals in the neighborhood. Everything about it has that nice neighborly, next-door vibe. They don't have anything quirky about them, really, and that huge pastry case is definitely not filled by on-site bakeries at every location. But it all still FEELS like a friendly spot down the street from home. 2 coffees and a scone were about $20 before tip. Could be better, could be worse. I'd definitely come back.

My brother, Loren, orders a sandwich. He says he needs it to go. Person at the register is pleasant enough. I order a coffee separately and am quickly served. We wait a bit for the sandwich, and we finally go up to the counter after maybe ten minutes and see the same sandwich he ordered sitting in a basket. It has a ticket on it that says "Owen." Easy mistake, really. He says, "Is this maybe Loren's?" And the person behind the counter immediately snaps "it says Owen." Okay. So we wait a few more minutes. We're now 15 minutes out and several people who ordered after us are served. He steps up and say "hey, I ordered a BLTA on sourdough for Loren, I think it may have been put in under Owen, but-" and before he can finish his thought they snap back at him again "it's probably yours because this one hasn't been picked up." At this point he's like, "okay, I ordered mine to go- could I-" and the girl behind the counter slams a box on the counter and says "here's a box." And turns away. I'm annoyed, because while I understand we have inconvenienced you, who is standing here chatting with an off-duty coworker for 30 minutes, we literally did nothing to deserve the attitude. Loren scoops the sandwich out of the basket and puts it into the box and this girl has the nerve to turn around and say "dirty dishes go behind you at the service bar." Oh, so now we have to bus YOUR hand-off bar, too? No sorry, no thank you, not even the offer to box up his food or put away the freaking basket. Is it because Loren is very clearly not white? Or is it because this lady today had a bad day and took it out on someone for interrupting her mid-shift gossip about how the mall security is full of idiots who don't do their job? Go ahead and take a gamble and let me know, because I won't be back.
