If you're looking for a great-tasting breakfast or brunch meal at a good price, I wouldn't go much…read morefurther the the Hollywood Bakery Westfield Manukau. It's one of my much-loved places to eat in the mall when I have time. This place can get crowded quite fast and its quite popular among the older generation. Their all-day breakfast menu covers all the bases and they do it really well here. I love their french toast. It's served with bacon, maple syrup, and a decent amount of seasonal fresh fruit, although I do enjoy their caramelised banana when they have it! The pancakes here are good too and when I'm feeling a bit heartier than usual, their big breakfast always does the trick (they also have a vegetarian option of this available). If you don't want to order off the menu, they've got a range of baked goodness for you. I always get their vege savoury for a quick bite, and on a cheat day I'll definitely be getting the the chicken and mushroom pie, its always tasty. I don't usually go for their pastas but they're usually sold out by mid-afternoon. Hollywood Bakery is a great option in the mall that's away from the food court and gives you a chance to sit down and relax between shopping destinations. Or just pop in for a coffee to go and a savoury for a quick yet satisfying bite.

My favourite combo to get is a bacon and egg muffin from the hot food cabinet and a flat white. It always tastes like they made it 10 mins ago, and proves to be very popular, as I rarely find more than 1 left in the cabinet in the late hours of the morning. Their Neenish tarts are simply to die for and club sandwiches are a nice addition if you don't want to feel too bad about the amount of fat you're creating. Then, once you're done, continue your shopping escapade without wanting to buy everything that looks marginally delectable. Also, these guys bake cakes for events, make breakfasts and have award winning pies. Seriously, would you go anywhere else?

I got the cream mushrooms on sourdough toast , which tasted good initially but then started feeling that there was too much black pepper and kind of bland. My husband got the piri piri chicken burger , which had avocado also. The avocado didn't really gel well with the piri piri spices . Overall it was average . Ambiance was great for dine in . Some street parking available right outside the restaurant. The place was almost empty when we came here .

Some of the chairs are covered in coffee sacks and there are awesome lights made from wicker baskets which hang along the front of the cafe. I suspect they get a lot of the airport staff come down here to chill out for a bit on their breaks or after a long shift that probably started at 4am. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. The coffee was okay. Jamaica Blue source their beans from 5 regions then blend and roast their own roastery, The Bean Alliance. There are 7 varieties, some organic and fair trade which are also available to purchase. I have no idea what my parents and sister had when we came, but my sister who is a barista said that the coffee was not great. I would say overall Jamaica Blue is average. There wasn't anything else in the area unless you want to dine at a fast food chain so this was it. It definitely has franchise written all over it and I guess that is where the problem is. I've never been to a good one, they are like the Subways of the cafe genre.
